With Karanka's men now looking doomed they need to play for pride in the final few minutes. Taking their foot off the gas could see Liverpool add two or three more goals and that will really affect the confidence going into the weekend's games.

Majestic football again and it's 0-3. Mane shows tremendous pace to get at the Boro defence and he is brought down, but the ball is picked up by Origi. He delays any cross and just trickles it across the penalty spot and Lallana is on hand to grab his second of the night.
65'
Few signs of frustration now around the Riverside Stadium. Stewart Downing is trying his best to create chances since coming on but his latest cross is over the head of everyone and out for a throw-in.

D. Origi has scored a goal for Liverpool! Assist by A. Lallana.
Lallana now adds an assist to his goal so far this evening and his defence splitting pass allows Origi to tap home.
Simply brilliant from Liverpool. Divock Origi is the man that taps in but a whole host of players played their part in that one. Mane shows a turn of foot in the middle and Wijnaldum flicks it forward for Lallana. The midfielder takes one look before teeing up Origi who places the ball into the bottom corner.
58'
Two changes from Karanka before the hour mark show he certainly means business tonight. He's been criticised in the past for not going for it at times, at least the home crowd can't say that this evening.
56'
S. Downing enters the game and replaces V. Fischer.
G. Leadbitter enters the game and replaces A. Clayton.

Boro really need to pick their game up at the minute. Liverpool pen them in again and Origi is the man who finds space before turning to shoot. At the last minute he decides against it and tries to flick it towards Firmino but the ball trickles out for a goal-kick.
49'
Yet another chance for Liverpool as Origi pulls wide down the left. He looks up and pings the ball into Firmino but the forward is off balance and can only head wide of the target.
48'
Mane again goes close this time inside the box. Firmino is generous and squares the ball to his team-mate but Mane never sets himself and sees both his shots blocked.

Liverpool get us back underway for the second-half.
43'
Inches away from 2-0 here. Mane is played in through the middle and he bursts into the box before aiming for the far post. The ball cannons off the post and Origi is unable to convert the rebound. Boro have been impressive in bursts but they were nearly undone there.
39'
What a run from Traore!!! The winger bursts down the right and eventually cuts it back, Fischer cannot get to the cross but Forshaw can and his effort is blocked for a corner. Mignolet steps up thiugh and clear the danger.

Sighs from the Boro crowd as Marten De Roon tries to pick out Alvaro Negredo. The former Manchester City man is in plenty of space but he takes his eye off the ball and Liverpool recover the ball.

Penalty claims from Boro...nothing given. Another free-kick from the right is cleared into the middle of midfield and Adam Clayton comes in like a steam train before smashing it goalwards. The ball hits Dejan Lovren and the home crowd scream for a spot-kick, referee Jonathan Moss gives nothing and we move on.

CHANCE BORO - the home side win a free-kick after a foul on Traore. The ball is whipped in from the right and centre-half Ben Gibson climbs highest but Mignolet is on hand to dive on the loose ball.

Determined run from Fischer sees him charge into the box but he never gets the ball under control and centre-back Ragnar Klavan is on hand to cover and clears the danger.

Liverpool work the ball towards Roberto Firmino for the first time but the Brazilian is unable to find a team-mate with his cross. Instead, his attempted pass is blocked away by Boro's Adam Clayton and the home side continue to defend well as a unit.
11'
The two teams just cancelling each other out at the minute and the game may need to setlle down before we see either goalkeeper tested. At the moment the pace is electric but as a result the quality of football on show is suffering.

Middlesbrough in their home kit tonight get this Premier League clash underway, Liverpool in an all-yellow strip will shoot left-to-right in this first-half.
Hello and welcome everyone to our live text commentary of Middlesbrough vs Liverpool in the Premier League. Tonight's match comes from the Riverside Stadium and both teams will be looking for three points after disappointing results last time out.
Middlesbrough come into this clash on the back of a 1-0 defeat to Southampton last weekend and that result left the 16th in the Premier League. With a busy night of action, they will be nervously looking over their shoulder hoping to avoid the bottom three.
As for Liverpool, they sit pretty in third but their form of late has dropped off and they were held to a 2-2 draw by West Ham in their last match. Jurgen Klopp's side have won two of their last five matches in all competitions and they will be determined to cut the gap on league-leaders Chelsea.
TEAM NEWS coming up...
Middlesbrough's Starting XI (4-3-3): Valdes, Barragan, Chambers, Gibson, Fabio, Forshaw, Clayton, De Roon, Traore, Negredo, Fischer.
Liverpool SUBS: Karius, Moreno, Leiva, Stewart, Ejaria, Woodburn, Arnold.
Liverpool Starting XI (4-3-3): Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Lallana, Mane, Origi, Firmino.
Following that defeat to Southampton, coach Aitor Karanka has decided to make two changes to his Boro first-team. In come Adama Traore and Alvaro Negredo and they replace Cristhian Stuani and Jordan Rhodes.
Reds boss Klopp was quick to stand by Loris Karius at the weekend but he's still been dropped, while Joel Matip is also missing from the starting eleven. They are replaced by Simon Mignolet and Ragnar Klavan.
The two teams are now in the tunnel and we are nearly ready for kick-off.
HALF-TIME - Middlesbrough 0-1 Liverpool. Lallana's header separates these two teams at the break in what has been an entertaining first-half of football.
Despite trailing, Boro have shown some signs of promise and forced a couple of saves out of Mignolet in the Liverpool goal. The pace has been high and that has suited Klopp's men on the break. That extra bit of class in front of goal is the difference so far but both teams will be relatively pleased with their performances so far.
If Boro are to get anything from this match then Traore is key to their plans. James Milner is not the quickest and they need to get the winger charging down the right. Negredo has also barely had a touch and as their main striker this clearly needs to improve.
Both Forshaw and Clayton have shown their tremendous fitness levels so far but a few more risks need to be taken going forward by Boro. As for Liverpool, Firmino has been quiet but they once again look incredibly dangerous on the break and Boro will need to keep players back to counter that threat.
FULL TIME - Middlesbrough 0-3 Liverpool.
The Reds return to winning ways in fine style thanks to a brace from Adam Lallana and a simple finish from Divock Origi. Lallana grabs the headlines for his display after also teeing up Origi but Klopp's men were brilliant in the final third and that was the difference tonight.
At the end of the first-half Boro looked in a good position but they just could not keep up with their opponents. They failed to create any real chances in the second 45 minutes and Liverpool's half-time team-talk seemed to work wonders. Karanka will need to go back to the drawing board as Boro move closer to the bottom three.
Once again thanks for joining us this evening, we hope you enjoyed our coverage. Goodbye!
