Good evening and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the La Liga clash between Las Palmas and Atletico Madrid.
Atletico suffered a rare home defeat in midweek when they lost 1-0 to Villarreal. They may now have one eye on their Champions League semi-final first leg next week against Real Madrid, so they may rotate their side here, perhaps giving their opponents a chance to take something away from the game.
However, Atletico know they are in a battle for third place with Sevilla and automatic qualification to the group stages of next season's Champions League is a big prize.
Las Palmas have lost four of their last six matches during which time they have recorded just one win, and wednesday night saw them lose 3-0 at relegation-threatened Leganes.
The hosts could be missing a few of their key players, as both Jonathan Viera and top scorer Kevin-Prince Boateng are injury doubts. Without the duo in midweek, they failed to score against a poor Leganes team. With Marko Livaja also suspended, they could be without their top three goalscorers this term.
