Hello and welcome to tonight's live text commentary of Sporting CP vs Olympiakos from Group D in the UEFA Champions League. Sporting will have home advantage at the Jose Alvalade and they will need to make it count as they try to qualify for the knockout rounds of the competition. Barcelona and Juventus are currently locked in the top two spots and Sporting need to win to keep up their hopes.
Sporting come into the game in third, while Olympiakos are rock bottom after three defeats from their first four matches. However, they can still go through to the knockout stages if they win and Juventus lose tonight. Takis Lemonis' men will finish bottom though if they fail to pick up the three points this evening.
Sporting head into the contest in good form and they are second in the Primera Liga and are unbeaten in their last five games in all competitions. Jorge Jesus' troops beat Famalicao 2-0 last time out.
Olympiakos are also doing well in the Super League and like Sporting, they have won three of their last five matches in all competitions. Lemonis' men were too strong for Levadiakos in their last domestic meeting but tonight's game is a much tougher challenge.
Jorge Jesus makes six changes to the team that beat Famalicao as Piccini, Pinto, Mathieu, Carvalho, Martins and Fernandes all come in for Coates, Ristovski, Figueiredo, Silva, Petrovic and Podence.
Olympiakos boss Lemonis also makes changes and it's four in total following the win over Levadiakos. Out go Elabdellaoui, Cisse, Marin and Ansarifard for Figueiras, Engels, Romao and Pardo.
Kick-off fast approaching then as the players just start to conclude their warm-ups at the Jose Alvalade.
The two teams are now making their way onto the field of play. The Champions League anthem awaits...

Goals from Dost and Cesar have given Sporting a comfortable two-goal lead at the break and they have looked impressed at home. Olympiakos started poorly before riding out the early pressure but they buckled and now look set to finish bottom of Group D.
Sporting will feel they can make a real statement tonight by trying to add several more goals to their tally, while Olympiakos will be out to salvage some pride in the second-half.
FULL-TIME - Sporting 3-1 Olympiakos.
A fine performance from Sporting keeps their automatic hopes alive as they look to overcome Juventus for second spot. Olympiakos know that they are destined to finish bottom and their display was poor in Lisbon tonight.
Sporting could be a surprise package if they get through after showing their ability on and off the ball. In the end two goals from Dost and a strike from Cesar do the damage.
That is all for tonight folks, once again thank you for joining us. Goodbye!
