Kick-off is five minutes delayed for some reason but we are now finally underway at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi.
Hello and welcome along to tonight's coverage of Hellas Verona vs Juventus from Serie A. The visitors are looking to close the gap on table-toppers Napoli, while the hosts are doing all they can to move out of the bottom three at the end of 2017.
Verona are 19th in the Serie A table after 18 games and they have only picked up 13 points so far. Juventus on the other hand are flying under boss Massimiliano Allegri and they have secured 44 points as they look to defend their title.
Tonight's TEAM NEWS coming up...
Fabio Pecchia's Verona team have one win from their last five matches and that form does not stand them in good stead ahead of tonight's encounter at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi. They suffered a heavy 4-0 defeat to Udinese last time out, while Juve battled to a 1-0 victory over Roma. Allegri's men have won four of their last five games in all competitions.
Hellas Verona Starting XI (4-4-1-1): Nicolas, Ferrari, Heurtaux, Carracciolo, Caceres, Romulo, B Zuculini, Buchel, Verde, Bessa, Kean.
Verona coach Pecchia makes two changes to the team that lost to Udinese as Martin Caceres and Marcel Buchel start in place of Samuel Souprayen and Marco Fossati.
Allegri decides to go for it tonight with Mario Mandzukic, Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala all starting and it is the latter who is one of three changes this evening. Stephan Lichtsteiner and Rodrigo Bentacur also come in for Andrea Barzagli, Miralem Pjanic and Juan Cuadrado.
Both teams are now in the cramped tunnel and kick-off is just minutes away.
HALF-TIME - Verona 0-1 Juventus.
Juventus lead thanks to Matuidi's early strike and it could arguably be three-nil if Higuain had his shooting boots on. He has been denied by Nicolas on occasions and the home side have their keeper to thank at the interval.
Verona's main threat has come through Verde and Kean but they have been left to work hard for their own opportunities. Pecchia's men seem scared to commit more players forward, fearing that Juve could punish them on the counter attack. Something needs to change in the second 45 minutes, join us to see if Juventus can stay in front and cut Napoli's lead to one point.
FULL-TIME Verona 1-3 Juventus.
Verona remain in the bottom three, while Juventus cut the gap on Napoli after a superb brace from Dybala. The striker has been dropped in the last three weeks but he made a big statement tonight with two quick-fire goals.
Verona worked tirelessly in the second-half to get a point and Caceres' strike looked to be enough but the class eventually told in the end and Juventus secure all three points in their final game of 2017.
That is all for tonight's coverage, thanks for joining us! Goodbye.
