Ramadan Sobhi enters the game and replaces E. Choupo-Moting.
Choupo-Moting is replaced by Sobhi for the final few minutes.
90' +1
Crouch tries to flick the ball on for Choupo-Moting, and Shaqiri helps it on, but it's over-run and Lossl gathers it.
89'
Hadergjonaj curls a cross to the back post, but Butland is there to take it in well. Not much time left in this one now.
87'
SAVE! Mounie has a pop from outside the box, but it's a comfortable save for Butland, despite the striker making good contact.
84'
Stoke are fuming as a clash of heads between two Huddersfield players halts a Stoke attack. The referee was right to call it back though, and Schindler is still down. Wagner hasn't got any substitutions left, and he will have to hope that his centre-half is alright.
83'
MISS! Shaqiri races down the right from the halfway line and tries to cross for Crouch in the centre, but Malone manages to nick it away. It falls kindly for Choupo-Moting, however, but his volley balloons over the bar.
79'
L. Depoitre enters the game and replaces J. Hogg.
Wagner is really going for it in the last 10 minutes, bringing Hogg - a holding midfielder - off for Depoitre, who will partner Mounie up front.
77'
P. Crouch enters the game and replaces M. Diouf.
CHANCE! Huddersfield have a chance to pull one back from Van La Parra's excellent delivery, but Sabiri is hesitant and can't get on the end of it!
Crouch - linked with a move to Chelsea recently - comes on for the tireless Diouf, who has put in a real shift up front today.
76'
Diouf is kicking himself after getting the ball stuck under his feet and failing to pick out Shaqiri in a good position.
75'
Butland makes a save to ironic cheers from the crowd. The England goalkeeper has had next to nothing to do today.
Minute
Description
73'
Hogg slices a half-volley miles wide of the target. Very poor effort by the midfielder.
72'
M. Bauer gets yellow.
Bauer receives a yellow card after fouling Van La Parra and then having a go at the referee.
71'
G. Cameron enters the game and replaces C. Adam.
Adam is replaced by Cameron as Lambert looks to see the game through now.
69'
M. Diouf has scored a goal for Stoke City! Assist by X. Shaqiri.
What a piece of skill by Shaqiri to back-heel that ball first-time and weight it just right. He's a supremely talented footballer.
GOAL! Stoke are 2-0 up! And what a goal it was as well! Choupo-Moting intercepts a poor ball from Mooy, and feeds Shaqiri with a perfectly-weighted pass. Shaqiri then back-heels into Diouf's path first-time, and the striker's low effort goes in off the base of the post! Fantastic goal, and Stoke may be out of sight now!
67'
SAVE! Shaqiri makes a great run down the right, keeping onside, and he cuts inside onto his favoured left foot - but again the near-post effort is low and tame and doesn't trouble Lossl.
65'
Choupo-Moting takes the ball down and feeds Adam, who whips in a superb ball, but it's over Diouf and no one else has made a run into the box. Fletcher then tries to drive into the box, but he's halted and Huddersfield hack it away.
62'
MISS! Bauer lofts the ball into the box for Choupo-Moting, whose header is poor and sails well over the bar. Poor contact from the forward.
60'
A. Sabiri enters the game and replaces A. Pritchard.
Pritchard's debut comes to an end as he is replaced by Sabiri. The former Norwich man has had a very quiet first game.
58'
SAVE! Diouf then gets in behind down the right, and just can't dink the ball over the advancing Lossl! Stoke have a spring in their step now!
57'
SAVE! Diouf's flick releases Shaqiri into acres of space, and the Switzerland international cuts inside and shoots towards the near post, but it's a tame effort and Lossl can hold it.
56'
C. Quaner enters the game and replaces T. Ince.
Quaner replaces Ince as Wagner searches for an equaliser.
53'
J. Allen has scored a goal for Stoke City! Assist by E. Choupo-Moting.
GOAL! Allen puts Stoke into the lead! Huddersfield get caught out by an Adam ball in behind. Choupo-Moting's cut-back misses out Shaqiri and Diouf, but Allen is there to side-foot home! Malone was on the line, an arguably should have cleared it, but it hits the back of the net for 1-0!
Choupo-Moting made an excellent run in behind, and showed good composure to pick out a team-mate rather than rushing his cross.
50'
Choupo-Moting tries to drive through midfield, but loses the ball and, in trying to win it back, injures his knee. Lossl sportingly puts the ball out of play so he can get some treatment.
48'
NO GOAL! Shaqiri hits a scissor-kick off the ground, and Lossl palms it in off the crossbar afetr a long throw, but the linesman's flag is raised! It's no secret who Stoke's chief threat is. Wonderful effort from the Swiss winger.
46'
And Huddersfield get the ball rolling again!
45'
SAVE! Choupo-Moting plays an excellent first-time ball forward for Shaqiri, and Lossl has come out to the edge of his box into no man's land! Shaqiri takes a touch, though, rather than going for the lob first-time, and his eventual attempt is saved by the Huddersfield keeper! He got himself out of jail there, but it really should be 1-0!
44'
Shaqiri whips in a free-kick, which is massively overhit, and Stoke concede a free-kick inside the box for some pushing and shoving anyway. Sums up the half a little bit, really.
40'
Allen goes in very late on Schindler, and is perhaps lucky to get away without a booking.
38'
Bauer receives the ball on the right, but his touch is very heavy and it runs straight out of play.
37'
A succession of fouls and poor passes sees the game's rhythm regularly interrupted, making for a scrappy affair.
34'
J. Hogg gets yellow.
Hogg wrestles with Choupo-Moting and receives a yellow, despite his vigorous protests.
32'
Zanka wins a flick-on from a corner at the near post, but it sails beyond everyone. He won the header well, but nobody could capitalise on it.
31'
Zouma does really well to take Ince wide and out of play. Huddersfield, meanwhile, are furious that Pieters wasn't penalised for a foul on Mounie in the build-up.
28'
MISS! Mounie tries to cut across Shawcross to meet a cross at the near post, but he can't steer it on target and it flies wide! It was a difficult opportunity, in his defence.
26'
It's been a scrappy period in which neither side seem able to really keep hold of the ball. Ince provides a perfect example as he passes the ball out wide to no one and straight out of play.
24'
Diouf flicks the ball on for Shaqiri, but Malone does well and uses his pace and strength to keep the Stoke man off the ball and play it back to his keeper.
20'
A raking pass is played across Diouf, who can't quite get to it, and Shaqiri is caught on his heels on the right wing and ends up conceding a goal kick.
18'
CHANCE! Diouf's powerful shot is blocked by Schindler, before Adam hits a sweet half-volley that just whistles past the far post! That's the closest either side have come to a goal so far.
17'
Lossl comes out and flaps at thin air from a corner, before Huddersfield fail to break quickly when given the opportunity.
16'
Huddersfield pile on the pressure for several minutes, but Stoke nick it back, break quickly and win a corner.
13'
Lossl awkwardly scoops a back-pass away, keeping his side under pressure, but Shaqiri and Allen combine to concede a free-kick and Huddersfield get away with it.
12'
This time, Van La Parra hauls Bauer down after failing to cut out a pass from Adam to the right-back. Allen takes the free-kick, but it's a poor delivery and straight into the arms of Lossl.
10'
Van La Parra does excellently to flick the ball past Bauer, before eventually being fouled by the right-back. Good skill from the winger.
8'
Allen bursts forward and wins a corner off Malone, but the delivery is a little deep and the resulting header from Shawcross drops onto the roof of the net.
6'
Shaqiri looks like he's clean through down the right, but he's just a step offside!
5'
Lossl picks up a back-pass from Hadergjonaj and Stoke scream at the referee, but the defender played it with his thigh and the referee makes a good call.
4'
Huddersfield survive a musunderstanding at the back and Hadergjonaj drives forward and crosses from the right, but it's deflected and Butland can just do enough to prevent the corner and hang on.
2'
Malone whips in a testing cross from the left, but it's cleared and then Mooy bundles Shaqiri over and concedes a free-kick.
1'
And we're off for the start of the match!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Premier League fixture between Stoke City and Huddersfield Town at the bet365 Stadium in Stoke.
The line-ups are out, and we'll start with the home team.
Stoke City XI (4-3-3): Butland; Pieters, Shawcross, Zouma, Bauer; Adam, Fletcher, Allen; Choupo-Moting, Diouf, Shaqiri
Stoke City substitutes: Ireland, Martins-Indi, Cameron, Crouch, Sobhi, Grant, Edwards
Huddersfield Town XI (4-2-3-1): Lossl; Malone, Schindler, Zanka, Hadergjonaj; Mooy, Hogg; Ince, Pritchard, Van La Parra; Mounie
Huddersfield Town substitutes: Smith, Kongolo, Sabiri, Coleman, Williams, Depoitre, Quaner
New Stoke boss Paul Lambert makes four changes for his first game in charge from the 3-0 defeat against Manchester United. Eric Pieters, Ryan Shawcross, Charlie Adam, and Mame Biram Diouf all come in, while Josh Tymon, Bruno Martins-Indi, Stephen Ireland, and Peter Crouch all drop out.
New signing Kostas Stafylidis, a Greek left-back with a knack for taking set-pieces, does not make the squad today.
Stoke fans should perhaps not be too hopeful of an immediate impact from their new manager, as Lambert has never won his opening Premier League game with a new club - drawing at Norwich and losing with Aston Villa.
The Potters have lost their last four games in all competitions by an aggregate scoreline of 11-1, including a humiliating loss to Coventry City in the FA Cup which ultimately cost previous manager Mark Hughes his job.
Perhaps he will have a point to prove, however, having failed to win any of his last 10 league games at Villa during their ill-fated 2014-15 season, before being sacked and replaced with Tim Sherwood in an ultimately futile attempt to save the club from the drop.
And the hosts' defensive record at this stage of the season is cause for some concern, having conceded the most goals in the league so far with 50 in 23 games. In fact, five of the previous six sides that conceded 50+ goals at this stage of the season were relegated, with the exception of Swansea in 2016-17.
Huddersfield haven't won in their last five league games, and have failed to score in eight of their 11 away games this season. They sit four places and four points above their hosts today, and a win for either side could change the complexion of their current situations drastically.
These sides played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture on Boxing Day, with Tom Ince finally netting his first of the season for Huddersfield. The last time these two sides met here in the league, however, was in 2001, and also finished 1-1.
Huddersfield make three changes of their own, as David Wagner replaces Tommy Smith, Joe Lolley, and Laurent Depoitre with Florent Hadergjonaj, new signing Alex Pritchard, and Steve Mounie all starting.
And the half comes to an end in dramatic fashion, after 45 minutes of effort without much quality. An Adam half-volley was the closest either side came to scoring before Shaqiri's chance to lob Lossl, which the Danish stopper managed to get a hand to. Neither side looks like running away with this one. It looks like it'll be a close-run affair either way. At half-time, the score remains 0-0.
And there goes the final whistle! Lambert can celebrate his first win from his first game as Stoke City manager, as goals from Allen and Diouf put an end to the club's miserable run of three Premier League losses without scoring. The result lifts them out of the relegation zone, while Southampton drop in with a game still to play. It finishes 2-0 to Stoke City!
