Benatia picks up a deserved yellow for a cynical foul on Simeone.
90' +2
Mandzukic is back on, but not moving freely. He will soldier on for the remaining few minutes of stoppage time, however.
90'
Some worry here for Juve, with Mandzukic down with what may just be cramp. He is holding his knee, however, and may well need treatment.
88'
C. Biraghi gets yellow.
Biraghi picks up a card now, after he pulled back Douglas Costa. Pjanic stands over the free-kick, 25 yards out on the left flank.
86'
G. Higuaín has scored a goal for Juventus! Assist by G. Chiellini.
GOOOOAAALLLL!!! HIGUAIN WRAPS UP THE RESULT! What a finish by Juve’s star man, as he gets in behind Fiorentina’s defence before slotting in composed fashion past Sportiello. That should be game over!
Chiellini is credited with the assist, and it was a fine throughball from the defender, who spotted Higuain's excellent run.
84'
C. Théréau gets yellow.
Thereau goes into the book.
83'
It’s all about discipline for Allegri’s side now. Fiorentina are still applying the pressure, but there aren’t any gaps appearing in Juve’s line - and in the rare instance that some space does open up, Buffon has already shown he is no mood to be beaten on his landmark appearance.
81'
Clever play from Higuain who reacts sharply to get across Astori and steal possession ahead of the Fiorentina captain, who concedes a needless foul, relieving the pressure on Juve.
79'
V. Eysseric enters the game and replaces M. Benassi.
There's also a change for Fiorentina, as Marco Benassi goes off, with Valentin Eysseric his replacement.
78'
R. Bentancur enters the game and replaces F. Bernardeschi.
Poor play from Berarndeschi, who puts Juve in trouble with a sloppy pass out from the back. Veretout picks up the loose ball, but his cross finds the gap between two Fiorentina attackers.
And that rather slack piece of play will be Bernardeschi’s final input into this match. The former Fiorentina man is responsible for Juve’s lead, but he will now take his place on the bench, with the more defensively-minded Rodrigo Bentancur coming on.

Description
76'
Fiorentina are almost camped in the final third now, but can’t find a way through Juve’s lines. Badelj tries to hammer one home from 20 yards out, but his strike deflects wide off Simeone.
74'
Juve seem to have settled into a new system now, with Barzagli joining Chiellini and Benatia in a three-man defence, while Bernardeschi is filling in as the right wing-back. Douglas Costa, meanwhile, is linking up with Mandzukic and Higuain up top.
70'
WHAT A SAVE! That is outstanding from Buffon, who on his 500th league appearance, may well have just pulled off one of the stops of the season. Showing his reflexes are as sharp as ever, the veteran goalkeeper rushed out to deny what looked set to be a certain goal for Thereau with what would have been one of his first touches.
68'
A first alteration now for the home side, as Gil Dias makes way for Cyril Thereau.
67'
C. Théréau enters the game and replaces Gil Dias.
J. Veretout gets yellow.
Veretout becomes the third Fiorentina player to pick up a yellow card.
CLOSE! A neat move from Juve culminates in Mandzukic getting a first-time shot off from close range, but the striker can’t hit the target.
66'
Douglas Costa enters the game and replaces C. Marchisio.
Another change from Allegri. Off goes Claudio Marchisio, and on comes Douglas Costa.
64'
It's backs-to-the-wall stuff for Juve now, with the visitors restricted to their own half at the moment - Fiorentina launching attack after attack on Juve's goal, but to no avail so far.
62'
Two goal-mouth scrambles in quick succession, now, as Juve’s defence stand firm to a Fiorentina onslaught. The champions eventually break on a swift counter-attack, only for Bernardeschi to hesitate when in possession on the edge of the hosts’ box, allowing their defence to recover.
61'
A. Barzagli enters the game and replaces S. Lichtsteiner.
A first change of the game now, and it is Juve who will make it. Stephan Lichtsteiner makes way, with Andrea Barzagli coming on. His first job will be to help defend a Fiorentina free-kick…
58'
That’s a hammer blow for Fiorentina, who have been on top for large parts of this match, but now find themselves behind thanks to a wonderful strike from the former fan favourite.
56'
F. Bernardeschi has scored a goal for Juventus!
GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLL!!! BERNARDESCHI SCORES! What a strike from the Juventus winger! He won the free-kick, and duly stepped up to take it, curling a low, powerful strike around the wall and into the bottom-left corner, giving Sportiello no chance.
55'
Brilliant play from Bernardeschi, who has been on the fringes of this game throughout. The former Fiorentina star does well to engineer space for himself right on the edge of the hosts’ area, before drawing a clumsy foul.
54'
Veretout is the next to try his luck for Fiorentina, as he unleashes a powerful effort from range. It was always rising, though, and Buffon is not troubled.
52'
CLOSE! Simeone finds space down the left flank and drills in an inviting cross-cum-shot, but no Fiorentina team-mate was sharp enough to connect with it.
50'
Juventus have scored in all their last six Serie A meetings against Fiorentina, but despite that early promise, the champions have been well below-par so far and will have to be much improved to find a way through their hosts' stubborn defence in the remaining 40 minutes.
47'
Milenkovic wins his header from the resulting set-piece, but can only turn his effort wide.
46'
We’re back up and running for the second half. Fiorentina immediately lump it forward, and Chiellini is forced into hoofing the ball out for a corner.
45' +1
There will be a minimum of four minutes added time at the end of the first half, which is not surprising given the length delay for the penalty review.
44'
Half-a-chance for Simeone, as he latches onto Alex Sandro’s poor clearance. The youngster was facing away from goal, but managed to make a decent connection with his volley. His strike was wild, however, and Buffon watched it soar over.
43'
Risky from Milenkovic, who confronts Higuain following a tussle between the two. They go head-to-head, but the referee is across quickly to talk them both down and prevent any escalation.
42'
Fiorentina are pressing high, denying Juve the time or space to pass it out from the back, which in turn is forcing the visitors to go long, bypassing the likes of Pjanic and Marchisio in midfield. Allegri will not be happy, but may need to deploy some different tactics in the second-half if his side are to craft an opening.
40'
Another booking now for Fiorentina, as Simeone picks up a caution for a late tackle on Higuain.
39'
Alex Sandro gets yellow.
CHANCE! Fiorentina counter at pace from the resulting corner, Dias leading the break with a powerful run. He squares up his marker before driving into the area before unleashing a venomous effort that rattles away off the upright.
38'
Safety first from Sportiello, who takes no chances in parrying Pjanic’s dipping, swerving free-kick wide.
37'
Gil Dias gets yellow.
From one extreme to the other, now, from the referee. After letting Astori get away with a much worse offence just moments ago, he then penalises Milenkovic for what was nothing more than a shoulder barge. The defender picks up a caution, and concedes a free-kick in a dangerous position…
35'
Old school defending from Astori, who dives in on Higuain to prevent the striker starting a Juve counter-attack. The Fiorentina captain is somewhat fortunate to escape a booking.
33'
That's poor from Chiesa. The winger was in acres of space down Fiorentina's left flank, but failed to take in a relatively simple pass, and the move breaks down just as the hosts were creating an overload down that side.
31'
More drama now surrounding the initial penalty, as it appears that Alex Sandro actually played the ball into Benassi's path, and as such the Fiorentina should not have been given offside.
29'
Higuain has scored in each of his last three away games against Fiorentina in Serie A. However, the Argentine has hardly seen any of the ball so far tonight, and it is the hosts who are on top at the moment.
26'
Desperate last-ditch defending from Alex Sandro, who gets across to block Milenkovic’s cut-back, which looked set to be tucked home by Dias.
24'
S. Lichtsteiner gets yellow.
That's a booking for Lichtsteiner, who lunged in recklessly on Chiesa. Juve need to keep their composure, here.
23'
It appears, however, that after that lengthy delay, the officials did in fact come to the right decision. The ball clearly struck Chiellini's hand, but Benassi - who hit the cross that Juve's defender blocked - had strayed offside beforehand.
21'
Penalty overturned! Well, what drama! The penalty was all set to be taken, with the referee seemingly confident that he had got the right decision. The Juve players were furious, and the official seemed to then go back to his assistant. He signalled that he would use the screen, but the referee never went to the pitchside, but rather handed the ball to Buffon to restart the play.
20'
There has been some delay here, as the official deliberates whether to use VAR to reassess the penalty. And, after initially deciding that he did not want to use the video system, he has now gone back on that decision and called for an onfield review.
18'
PENALTY TO FIORENTINA! Well, they’ve more than settled! It’s a huge chance now for the hosts, as Chiellini handles the ball in the area and the referee points straight to the spot.
17'
Buffon is called into action to make a fine stop, as he gets down to prevent Benassi slotting home after he latched onto Veretout’s pass.
14'
Fiorentina have settled into the contest now, and have done well so far to hold Juve at arm's length, with only Marchisio's speculative effort testing Sportiello.
10'
Fiorentina have drawn three and lost one of their last four home league games; the last time they went five in a row without a win on home soil in the league was back in May 2012.
8'
Almost half-a-chance for the hosts, as a ball is whipped in towards the far post. Simeone was looking to get on the end of it, but his run was tracked well by Alex Sandro, and the cross sails wide.
6'
A first sighting of goal now for Juve, as Higuain and Mandzukic combine to tee up Marchisio for a strike from around 25 yards out. The Italy midfielder tries his luck, but Sportiello is well-placed to make a comfortable stop.
4'
Juve have already started to cement their authority on the ball, and are looking sharp in possession. From Fiorentina’s point of view, it may well be a matter of restricting their visitors in the opening stages.
2'
Great skill from Bernardeschi, as he jinks his way around two of his former team-mates before spreading the play to the opposite flank. The move eventually results in Mandzukic driving into the area, but his path is swiftly blocked off.
1'
KICK-OFF! We are up and running in Florence - Juve getting proceedings underway.
Hello and welcome football fans, to LIVE coverage of Friday's Serie A action. And what a game it promises to be this evening, as Fiorentina welcome Scudetto-holders Juventus to Artemio Franchi.
Juve's scintillating form perhaps peaked last time out, Gonzalo Higuain netting a hat-trick as the Bianconeri cruised to an emphatic 7-0 victory over Sassuolo.
Juventus substitutes: De Sciglio, Douglas Costa, Barzagli, Pinsoglio, Asamoah, Szczesny, Rugani, Sturaro, Bentancur.
Both sides will line-up in a 4-3-3 formation, with Fiorentina likely to sit back and try and hit their visitors on the counter. Federico Bernardeschi starts for Juve against his old club, and the winger will be tasked with supplying the ammunition for Higuain and Mario Mandzukic.
It is a momentous night for Gianluigi Buffon, meanwhile, as Juve’s veteran goalkeeper makes his 500th league appearance. And he now leads his side out onto the pitch…
It has not been the best of seasons for the Viola, who sit in 11th place, having claimed three wins from their last five league games, while they have won just one of their last 32 Serie A encounters with Juve.
Last season's champions would move top - temporarily at least - of Serie A with a victory or a draw this evening. Massimiliano Allegri is taking charge of his 200th Juve game in all competitions this evening, with his side unbeaten in the league since November, winning nine of their 10 top-flight matches since.
Half-time in Florence, with the score level at 0-0. Juve started brightly, but it is the hosts who had the best of the opening 45 minutes - and looked all set to have a penalty only for the referee to change his mind following a consultation with his video assistant.
Chiellini handled in the area from Benassi’s cross, only for the penalty to be overturned when the officials finally decided - after close to four minutes - that the Fiorentina man was offside, even though Juve’s Alex Sandro clearly played the ball into his path.
Juve got lucky again soon after - Dias breaking clear on the counter before rattling the woodwork with a brilliant strike that had Buffon well beaten. It’s all to play for in the second half!
Fiorentina controlled large parts of the game, particularly in the second half, and things could easily have been different had the referee not elected to overturn his initial decision to award the hosts a penalty midway through the first-half.
A clinical display from Juve, who move two points clear of Napoli at the top of Serie A thanks to goals from Berarndeschi and Higuain.
FULL TIME: Fiorentina 0 Juventus 2.
Well, that’s all from me for now. Until next time, thank you and goodbye!
It was not to be, though - with former Fiorentina hero Bernardeschi doing the damage with a superb free-kick, with Higuain wrapping up the points late on, while Buffon had pulled off a stunning save to maintain Juve’s lead earlier on.
