GOOOAAALLL ATLETICO! Griezmann finally has his goal after failing to convert a few chances in the first half. The striker was played through on goal after Carrasco's pass splits the home defence. CLOSE! Gameiro fires a powerful effort at goal from the edge of the area, he worked the space well and then fired the shot at goal, which looked to be heading into the top right-hand corner, but it didn't have enough dip on it and it landed on the top of the net.
51'
Atletico look pretty comfortable at the moment, they are playing the ball around the pitch well and forcing Copenhagen to sit deep inside their own half. Another away goal here would hand Copenhagen the very difficult task of having to beat the Spanish side on their own patch by a few goals.
49'
This season is the sixth time Copenhagen have made it out of the group in a UEFA competition. They have only reach the round of 16 once - last year when they beat Ludogorets 2-1 on aggregate. Their European journey was then ended by Ajax in the next round.

It was terrific play between Griezmann and Lucas down the left-wing, the one-two set Lucas away in the penalty area, he then played a ball to Gameiro who was unmarked in the box. The striker opening his body and placing the ball into the bottom corner.
Lucas combined brilliantly with Griezmann before feeding countryman Gameiro, who makes no mistake with the finish.

Griezmann makes up for his missed opportunities with an assist for Saul. The Frenchman took a short corner, linked up well with his teammates on the right and then looked up and picked out Saul perfectly who made no mistakes with the header.
GOOOAAAALLL! ATLETICO EQUALISE! It doesn’t take long for the visitors to pull level as Saul heads home a wonderful cross into the box by Griezmann. It was poor defending by Copenhagen who didn’t read the short corner and then lost their men when the ball eventually came into the area, leaving Saul an open goal to aim at.

Boilesen breaks down the left at pace and pulls a cross back that evades everyone in the box, but Ankersen picks it up and fires a low shot towards goal and Fischer is there to flick in from close range! Moya had no chance of stopping that.
13'
HE SHOULD'VE SCORED! Griezmann with a superb chance to open the scoring! Luftner was too slow on the ball and Griezmann closed him down quickly and nicked the ball off his toes on the edge of the area. The striker then only had the keeper to beat from 12 yards out, but Olsen pulled off a terrific save to prevent a goal. Atletico really should be in the lead now.
10'
Copenhagen are starting to sit deeper and deeper here, inviting Atletico onto them, so it will be up to the likes of Koke and Saul to pull the strings in midfield and open up this strong defence tonight. We've already seen a couple of good Atletico chances here.
8'
CHANCE ATLETICO! Griezmann with another early opportunity here to open the scoring. Koke did well down the right wing, then pulled the ball back to Griezmann on the edge of the area who tried to curl his effort into the bottom corner of the net. However, it narrowly bends just past the Copehagen goal, with Olsen stood helpless on his line. Very close!
7'
The atmosphere is electric here inside the Parken Stadium, the home supporters are well and truly making their voices heard and getting behind their team.
5'

We're underway!
Good evening and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the Europa League clash between FC Copenhagen and Atletico Madrid.
Instead of battling for a place in the quarter finals of the Champions League this week, Atletico Madrid find themselves unexpectedly in the last 32 of the Europa League. Atletico have reached the final of this competition twice in recent years, but they face the tough task of overcoming Copenhagen over two legs.
Copenhagen failed to top their Europa League group, giving them this tough draw against Atletico, but they are always strong at home. The hosts were unbeaten in the group stages at home and did not concede a goal in their three games at Parken Stadium.
Copenhagen finished their winter break on February 4th, with a home defeat to Brondby. However, Stale Solbakken's men returned to winning ways with a 5-1 thumping of Randers in the Superliga at the weekend. Meanwhile Los Rojiblancos, seem to be the only genuine title contender for Barcelona in La Liga, they sit second in table, seven points behind the league leaders.
The Spanish side, despite a few poor results over the last few months, have quality players throughout their team, from a strong defence, to a lethal attacking force. Having kept six clean sheets in their last ten on the road, the visitors will be confident of another tight defensive display this evening.

The hosts took the lead early on against the run of play, after a number of early Atletico chances which they couldn't convert and they were punished by Fischer at the other end. However, it was only a matter of minutes before Koke equalised for the visitors, before Gameiro finished off a fine Atletico move to put the Spanish side in front.
FULL-TIME: COPENHAGEN 1-4 ATLETICO
Atletico gain a huge advantage with a 4-1 away victory over Copenhagen, they will be very confident of securing their passage into the next round of the Europa League. Griezmann and Vitolo adding goals in the second half to wrap up the win, in a dominant performance.
