Both of these sides are back in action at the weekend, away to sides in the bottom three. Juventus visit 18th-placed SPAL, while Atalanta travel to take on 19th-place Hellas Verona.
90' +1
K. Asamoah gets yellow.
Asamoah picks up a late and needless booking.
90'
There will be three minutes added on at the end of this match.
88'
Juventus are controlling possession here as they milk the final minutes off the clock. Full credit to Atalanta who are still working hard, but they're struggling to win the ball back here.
86'
This one is done and dusted now. Down to 10 men, Atalanta have little hope of a comeback. The visitors showed every indication they could steal a result tonight, but they lacked quality in the final third despite doing well in transition, and that's ultimately proved their undoing.
84'
STAT: That was the first goal Blaise Matuidi has scored at the Allianz Stadium for Juventus - his previous two both came away from home.
82'
M. Benatia gets yellow.
M. de Roon gets yellow.
De Roon also goes into the book for "undressing" Benatia.
A coming together between Benatia and De Roon sees both players booked for their roles - the Juventus centre-back retaliating after his shirt was literally ripped off his body.
81'
B. Matuidi has scored a goal for Juventus! Assist by G. Higuaín.
THAT SHOULD DO IT! Juventus double their lead and surely have the points wrapped up now! Dybala sprints down the left and picks out Higuain in the centre, who turns and unselfishly lays it off for a wide-open Matuidi, and the midfielder makes no mistake with his finish.
Higuain turns scorer to provider as he's credited with the assist.
80'
Pjanic strikes his free-kick straight into the wall from the ensuing free-kick as it proved just too close to try and get it up and over.

Description
79'
G. Mancini gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
ATALANTA DOWN TO 10 MEN! Two yellow cards in under a minute for the Atalanta centre-half as he's given his marching orders! He tripped up Chiellini atop the penalty area, the Juventus centre-back going on a dazzling burst into attack, looking more like Douglas Costa there!
78'
A. Barzagli enters the game and replaces Douglas Costa.
G. Mancini gets yellow.
Juventus setting up shop in defence here as Andrea Barzagli replaces Douglas Costa.
That's very cynical from Mancini who falls victim to a sharp turn from Higuain, before pulling back on the striker's shirt in a last-ditch effort to prevent a counter. That will see him into the book.
76'
Juventus have far from seen this one out, as it remains very much in the balance for Atalanta to steal a result. Their attacking presence has been limited in the second half, but they're surely going to start committing bodies forward here as the clock winds down.
74'
STAT: In 2018, Juventus have won all eight of their league games, scoring 17 goals in the process while conceding none.
72'
Alex Sandro gets yellow.
Alex Sandro has been on for less than 10 minutes, but he becomes the first Juventus player to see yellow.
70'
A. Cornelius enters the game and replaces H. Hateboer.
Atalanta's final change sees them bring on striker Andreas Cornelius to replace Hateboer.
67'
INCHES OVER! Dybala gets on the end of some lovely attacking play from the hosts, but sees his effort blocked from in close. He manages to collect himself and keep possession, spraying a lovely ball in for Pjanic atop the penalty area, but the midfielder sends his first-time effort inches over the bar!
65'
A. Petagna enters the game and replaces R. Gosens.
A second Atalanta change now sees Andrea Petagna replace Gosens.
64'
SO, SO CLOSE! Costa has been exceptional tonight and he really does deserve himself a goal. He shows terrific pace to get on the end of a throughball and produces a lovely effort to beat Berisha, but his strike kisses the far post before rolling behind!
62'
Alex Sandro enters the game and replaces M. Mandžukić.
Juventus' second change is a defensive one as Alex Sandro replaces Mandzukic. The Brazilian full-back boasts is very adventurous in attack, so we should see him feature a bit higher up the pitch here.
61'
B. Cristante gets yellow.
Cristante sends Asamoah crashing to the turf - the second time the full-back has fallen victim to a hard foul since the restart - and the Atalanta midfielder sees a yellow for his troubles.
59'
This second half has picked up right where the first left off. Atalanta are more patient in approach and they're spending a bit more time in attack as a result, while Juventus continue to look more threatening in possession.
57'
L. Spinazzola enters the game and replaces N. Haas.
Atalanta's first change sees Leonardo Spinazzola replace Haas.
54'
STAT: Atalanta are unbeaten in their last seven away Serie A games (W5 D2), only once have they been on a longer run on the road without losing – eight games in 1992.
52'
Mandzukic is penalised for a foul on Ilicic as Atalanta win a free-kick in a very threatening position on the right edge of the penalty area. Ilicic takes and goes for goal from a tight angle, but Higuain does well to read it, taking a step to his left to head behind.
50'
M. De Sciglio enters the game and replaces S. Lichtsteiner.
Less than five minutes into the second half and Juventus make a change - strangely not doing so at the break. Lichtsteiner gives way here for Mattia De Sciglio.
48'
Juventus push forward again through Costa, who picks out Dybala, but the Argentine's strike is collected smartly by Berisha, who also holds on to prevent a rebound.
47'
H. Hateboer gets yellow.
Hateboer arrives late with a challenge on Asamoah which sees him into the referee's book - the first yellow card shown in the match.
46'
The second half is underway...
45'
HALF-TIME: JUVENTUS 1-0 ATALANTA.
43'
INCHES AWAY! Vintage play from Gonzalo Higuain! A stunning first touch is followed by a lovely in-step as he tees himself up for a strike, but curls his effort inches wide of the far post! Agonisingly close for Higuain, who just slipped at the end there to perhaps put him off.
41'
STAT: Josip Ilicic, who has scored three goals in six away league matches against Juventus, has failed to score in his last eight Serie A appearances – he had scored six in his previous eight.
39'
NEARLY TWO! That's more like it from the hosts! Another swift counter, this one led by Mandzukic, sees them carve through the Atalanta defence. The forward slides a ball through for Dybala, but Berisha gets just enough of his shot to turn it behind! The offside flag was up in the end anyways, but it was an incredibly tight decision.
37'
Juventus are so well-organised at the back. They keep cool heads in defence, sticking to their tasks and never panicking. There's no rash challenges being put in, or lapses in concentration. It's been a flawless showing thus far from them in defence.
35'
Possession has been evenly split through 35 minutes, but Atalanta hold the clear edge over the last 20. Juventus seem content letting Atalanta spend time on the ball, basically saying good luck breaking us down. But when the hosts win the ball back, they need to be sharper in passing their way out from the back.
33'
Keen for a quick response, Atlanta find themselves right back in attack after falling behind. Ilicic is pulling the strings here in attack, first seeing a shot deflected behind, before picking out a terrific cross for Gomez at the far post, but another fine intervention from Mandzukic forces the visitors to settle for a corner.
31'
STAT: Juventus are unbeaten in their last 26 Serie A meetings against Atalanta – however, the last two clashes have ended in a stalemate.
29'
G. Higuaín has scored a goal for Juventus! Assist by Douglas Costa.
Costa provides the assist, but that was all in the sensational running from the Brazilian, not necessarily in the pass at the end of it.
RUTHLESS COUNTER AND JUVENTUS LEAD! A stunning run from Costa led the hosts forward on the break as he burst through the heart of defence before playing Higuain through on the right, and the striker drags a tidy finish in at the far post! That's a harsh one for Atlanta to concede given how well they've been playing.
27'
Atalanta are very much in the ascendancy here, looking in control as they spend more time in attack. Juventus have barely seen much of the ball over the last five minutes or so - a testament to Atalanta's approach play.
25'
More good pressure from the visitors leads to a shooting chance for Haas, but Mandzukic's typically excellent work rate sees him get a vital block in. The ball actually came back off Haas following the block, as Juventus get a goal-kick.
23'
Successive corners for Atalanta allow them to keep the pressure on, as they respond well to Matuidi's chance - but a foul in the area relieves the pressure on the Juventus goal. It's been a very even first quarter of the match here at the Allianz Stadium.
21'
STAT: Atalanta’s last away Serie A win against Juventus was back in October 1989; since then the Nerazzurri have recorded three draws and 17 losses.
19'
Fearless defending from Palomino who throws himself in front of Matuidi's shot to turn it over the bar, though it looked like Berisha had it covered. Chiellini attempts the spectacular from the ensuing corner, but can't get the contact right.
17'
It's the final ball that has let Atalanta down here, failing to make the most of their opportunities in the final third, and they have had a number of them with Juventus giving the ball away often here in their own end.
15'
This is a prominent spell from the visitors, who are keeping Juventus pegged back in their own half now as they do a wonderful job of pressing high up and winning the ball back in some threatening areas. Juventus have been unable to pass their way out from the back.
13'
Atalanta manage to provide their defence with a bit of respite following a prolonged stint in possession, but their passing lets them down in the attacking half as it amounts to nothing. They're showing good ambition, however, and are not backing down in the face of the league leaders.
11'
STAT: Gonzalo Higuaín has scored seven goals in nine Serie A games against Atalanta, including two braces.
9'
BLOCKED! Juventus remain in the ascendancy as they're pushing their full-backs forward and causing the visitors all sorts of problems. Asamoah this time finds space down the left and pulls the ball back admirably for Costa, but the Brazilian's first-time effort is blocked by Mancini!
7'
HEAVY TOUCH! Great look for Higuain to get the first goal of the game as he's picked out by a clever pull-back from Dybala, but his first touch lets him down! He may have been better off shooting first-time there.
5'
Atalanta gave every indication that they can compete with this Juventus side during their visit here two weeks ago, and they've picked up where they left off tonight, enjoying some solid possession and not showing much timidness in their attempts to get forward.
3'
Both sides show some good attacking intent early on. Gomez gets into a shooting position for Atalanta, but fails to hit the target, before some good interplay at the other end for Juventus leads to a penalty shout for Dybala, but the referee waves play on.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Juventus in their famous black and white stripes as they get the match underway, with Atalanta in blue and black.
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this midweek Serie A clash as leaders Juventus host Atalanta at the Allianz Stadium!
For the first time since matchweek three, Juventus enter a league fixture in top spot in Serie A – and they will be eager to add to their narrow cushion at the summit tonight.
Massimiliano Allegri’s side lead Napoli by one point at the top of the table, with their game in hand set to take place tonight as their 22-match unbeaten run is put to the test.
These sides met exactly two weeks ago on a frigid Wednesday night in Turin in the Coppa Italia. It was Juventus who ran out 1-0 winners thanks to a late Miralem Pjanic penalty – but it was far from straightforward for Allegri’s men.
Atalanta have stumbled of late, distracted by their Europa League efforts, as they finally snapped a five-match winless run in Sunday’s 1-0 victory at Bologna – they still have eyes on Europe, but points will be at a premium from here on out.
Allegri makes five changes to his side from the 2-0 win over Udinese on Sunday. Gianluigi Buffon is restored in goal ahead of Wojciech Szczesny, while Stephan Lichtsteiner and Mehdi Benatia replace Mattia De Sciglio and Daniele Rugani in defence. Mario Mandzukic is back in attack, with Miralem Pjanic getting the start in midfield, as Claudio Marchisio and Stefano Sturaro drop to the bench.
Gian Piero Gasperini makes five changes to his side as well from Sunday’s win in Bologna. Gianluca Mancini, Hans Hateboer, Nicolas Haas, Robin Gosens and Josip Ilicic replace Andrea Masiello, Timoty Castagne, Remo Freuler, Leonardo Spinazzola and Andrea Petagna. Bryan Cristante starts in sort of a false-nine role, with Ilicic and Alejandro Gomez on the flanks.
Gonzalo Higuain has Juventus on course to move four-points clear at the summit as his goal sees them into the break leading at the Allianz Stadium. The hosts have carved out the better of the chances, but possession is evenly split as Atalanta have battled tooth and nail throughout, and will surely feel they deserve better for their efforts in that first half.
Gonzalo Higuain and Blaise Matuidi on target for Juventus who open up a four-point lead over Napoli atop the Serie A table thanks to a 12th successive league win. That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
