The whistle blows and we are underway in Spain!
Hello and welcome to our live text coverage of Athletic Club de Bilbao v. Olympique de Marseille!
Let's start off by looking at how these two sides will be lining up.
Athletic Bilbao (4-2-3-1): Iago Herrerin; De Marcos, Yeray, Etxeita, Lekue; Mikel Rico, Benat; Williams, Raul Garcia, Cordoba; Aduriz.
Marseille fans will be rellieved to see their leading goal scorer, Florian Thauvin, on the team sheet after the injury he picked up against Athletic in the first leg.
The Spanish side have made three changes with Lekue, Cordoba, and Mikel Rico in for Balenziaga, Susaeta, and San Jose.
Athletic will need to win by at least two goals tonight in order to advance to the next round of the Europa League. Any other result would see Marseille go through.
It's not overly likely that Athletic Bilbao will be able to score those two goals however, as they have scored multiple goals in just about a third of their matches this season.
If they are to make up that difference, they will need a big day from Aritz Aduriz who leads the team, and all other Europa League players, in goals with eight this campaign.
The teams are walking out of the tunnel! We are just minutes away from kick-off at the San Mames!
The whistle blows for half time and, barring something crazy, Marseille will be moving on to the next round of the Europa League.
This season, Athletic Bilbao have scored three goals just five times and have yet to score four. Can they manage either tonight?
That's the final whistle! Marseille advance to the quarter finals having beaten Athletic Bilbao 5-2 on aggragate.
Marseille never really got into gear tonight, but they didn't need to as it turned out. They just needed to hold on to the lead they created in France and were able to do so easily. On to the next for Rudi Garcia and his men.
Athletic, on the other hand, needed a massive performance tonight and just didn't get it. They created a solid amount of chances but could only convert the one and, by that point, the match was already over. This result will be a big disappointment to the hosts and their fans. With the Spanish side currently sitting 12th in LaLiga, it is very unlikely that they will be playing in a European competition next season.
That's it for our coverage of Athletic Club de Bilbao v. Olympique de Marseille! We hope you enjoyed it, and will join us again for more live commentary in future!
