Lyon get a free-kick, and Lopes runs up to get into the area, but he can only foul a CSKA defender as he goes for the volley.
90' +4
A. Gordyushenko enters the game and replaces A. Dzagoev.
Another opportunity for CSKA to wind down the remaining seconds. Alan Dzagoev makes way, with Europa League debutant Astemir Gordyushenko coming on.
Substitution Alan Dzagoev Astemir Gordyushenko
90' +3
WHAT A MISS! Another chance! This time it is Maolida who meets the ball at the back post, but he hammers his strike over from point-blank range.
90' +1
CHANCE! That could have bene the winner for Lyon! Cornet puts in a wonderful low cross that flashes across the six-yard box, but Diakhaby can’t quite turn it home.
90'
Dzagoev has put in an excellent display for the visitors this evening, and it takes four Lyon players to rob the Russia playmaker of possession. However, Genesio’s team do now have the ball, and are launching everything forward, with Diakhaby now playing as an auxiliary striker.
89'
Lyon simply haven’t been able to get out of their own half in the last five minutes, and now a deflected strike from Dzagoev will lead to another CSKA corner, and more chance for the visitors to wind down the clock as we rapidly approach the end of normal time.
87'
CSKA are doing all in their power to wind down the clock now, as they take an age over a throw-in before Vitinho works his way into the area and wins a corner off Marcelo.
85'
Vitinho goes for goal, but his rather ambitious effort soars well over.
84'
Excellent, composed play from Natcho, who twists and turns his way around Mariano before drawing a clumsy foul from NDombele. CSKA get up the pitch, and Golovin is soon brought down by Ferri, close to the edge of Lyon’s box.
81'
It’s Cornet who whips in an inviting cross this time, but once more only Mariano is trying to meet it, and again he can’t connect with his attempted header.
Minute
Description
79'
Mendy makes good progress down the left and manages to hook in a decent cross, but Mariano can’t meet it, and only ends up fouling Ignashevich in the process.
78'
M. Díaz gets yellow.
A booking for Mariano, who attempted to nudge the ball out of Akinfeev’s hands.
77'
Traore looks to it all himself as he weaves his way around CSKA’s scrambling defence, before seeing his shot blocked. Tousart latches onto the rebound, but Akinfeev is equal to the midfielder’s long-range effort.
74'
Just prior to Mariano’s goal, Marcel was replaced by Mendy, and the Brazilian full-back was clearly not happy with the decision, clearly arguing with Genesio, who seemed to quickly dismiss the defender's point.
73'
Vitinho enters the game and replaces A. Musa.
CSKA will respond to Mariano’s strike with a change. Ahmed Musa is going off, with Vitinho coming on.
71'
M. Díaz has scored a goal for Lyon! Assist by B. Traoré.
It did not take Traore long to prove his quality with that excellent delivery, and this time Mariano made no mistake. Can the hosts turn this one back around!?
GOOOOOAAAAALLLL!!! LYON ARE BACK IN IT! Traore makes an immediate impact with a stunning cross, and Mariano gets the better of his marker to volley home from point-blank range.
70'
F. Mendy enters the game and replaces Marçal.
A third and final Lyon substitute. Ferland Mendy is on for Fernando Marcel.
68'
M. Maolida enters the game and replaces J. Ferri.
Well, here is another change from Genesio. Now, one of the midfielders does make way, with Jordan Ferri - who of course set-up Lyon’s goal - going off. He is replaced by Myziane Maolida.
67'
High and wide! Marcel gets in position to get a shot off, but his effort is dreadful.
66'
A first change of the game from Lyon, but it seems a strange decision by Genesio. Memphis Depay hadn’t put in his best performance, but has been much more prominent than any of Lyon’s three-man midfield. The hosts need attacking power on the pitch, but Genesio has retained this system, taking Depay off and bringing on Bertrand Traore in a like-for-like switch.
65'
P. Wernbloom has scored a goal for CSKA Moscow! Assist by K. Kuchaev.
B. Traoré enters the game and replaces M. Depay.
Well, in the space of seven minutes, this game has been turned on its head. Kuchaev made a good run down the left after Lyon failed to clear a corner, and his cross was perfectly weighted for Wernbloom to hammer in CSKA’s third.
ANOTHER ONE! Delight for CSKA, as Wernbloom thumps in a brilliant first-time finish from close range. Dzagoev was the architect as he picked out Kuchaev, whose cross found the unmarked striker.
62'
That goal for CSKA now rules out the possibility of extra-time in this one. Lyon have to at least match the visitors to progress.
60'
A. Musa has scored a goal for CSKA Moscow! Assist by K. Nababkin.
It was great play by Nababkin, who like Ferri moments ago, put in an excellent low cross. Musa, similarly to Cornet, had been wasteful so far tonight, but made no mistake with a neat finish.
GOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!! Musa puts CSKA back in front! What a game this is! Just two minutes after Cornet’s strike, the Leicester City loanee slides in at the near post to nudge home the first goal of his second-spell at the Russian giants.
58'
M. Cornet has scored a goal for Lyon! Assist by J. Ferri.
There was certainly a hint that the ball had gone over the line before Ferri got to it, but the fifth official - who was stood right next to the incident - seems to believe the Lyon man kept it in play, and so the goal will stand.
GOOOOOAAAALLLL!! Well, talk about the curse of the commentator! Just as Lyon were getting pushed back, Cornet has made up for his earlier misses with a superb first-time finish. Ferri made a fantastic run from deep and did brilliantly to cut the ball back to the waiting Cornet, who was on hand to slot home.
57'
Kuchaev finds himself in acres of space down the left after making a lung-busting run, but just as he is picked out by a long, diagonal pass, his first touch lets him down. CSKA are on top here, though, and Genesio should really be looking to change things soon.
55'
Musa comes very close to latching onto a loose ball in the centre of Lyon’s area, but NDombele is back to intervene and clear the danger.
53'
Depay’s resulting free-kick finds Cornet, who knocks it down to NDombele. The ball bounces up nicely for the youngster, but his wild strike sails way off target.
51'
Lyon’s fans are growing somewhat frustrated, as their side take too long to link up in the final third and what looked to be a promising counter-attack soon breaks down. The hosts recycle possession, though, and Cornet does well to win a free-kick down the right.
48'
Much like at the start of the first half, neither side have been able to stamp any real authority on the ball as of yet. CSKA are looking to make inroads down the flanks, but once the move is worked inside, Lyon’s defence swarm to cut it out.
46'
G. Shchennikov enters the game and replaces V. Berezutskiy.
We are back up and running in this one. There has been one change for the visitors, with Vasili Berezutski making way for Georgi Schennikov.
45' +1
One minute added on before the interval...
44'
Dzagoev looks to go from provider to scorer with an ambitious strike from 25 yards out, but Marcelo is across to make the block. Another goal for CSKA would certainly turn the odds right in their favour.
42'
While Musa had a great chance for CSKA, Genesio will be fuming that Lyon had not taken the lead prior to Golovin’s stunner. Their front three has been in fine form, but the decision-making - particularly from Cornet - has not been up to scratch, while Akinfeev has made some excellent stops.
40'
Cornet looks to make immediate amends now, as he thumps in a wicked cross. Depay runs into the six yard box, but his mistimed effort deflects wide.
39'
A. Golovin has scored a goal for CSKA Moscow! Assist by A. Dzagoev.
WHAT A GOAL! Golovin makes Cornet pay! We’re level in the tie now, as Aleksandr Golovin curls in his first European goal. Dzagoev picked out the midfielder, who squared up his man before dispatching a sublime finish into the top-left corner.
Dzagoev gets the assist for that, but the credit must go to Golovin, who produced a moment of magic to make Lyon pay for their earlier profligacy.
36'
A. Musa gets yellow.
Mariano is absolutely furious at Cornet now. The winger picked up a sloppy pass from Musa, who has gone into the book for dissent, and drove straight at goal. But despite having his team-mate in support in a much better position, Cornet tried to take it on himself and only resulted in conceding possession.
35'
CHANCE! Fantastic build-up once again from Lyon’s front three, as Depay feeds Mariano, who in turn lofts a cross over to the back post. Cornet meets it with a powerful header, but Akinfeev gets down to parry it away.
34'
The opportunities have certainly come for both sides so far, but the finishing and decision-making has left a lot to be desired. Again, Cornet gets free down the right after a neat pass from Ferri, but once more the winger fails to deliver a decent cross.
31'
SAVE! Excellent combination play between Cornet, Depay and Marcelo sees the latter released in the area. He takes it in his stride, looking to slot a low strike down the middle, but Akinfeev reacts sharply to keep it out with his legs.
29'
A pause in play now, following a nasty - but unintentional - collision between Marcal and Nababkin. Both players dived in for the ball, but only managed to connect with each other. They both look set to carry on, however.
27'
Given Lyon’s lead from the first leg, this tie can only go to extra-time should CSKA win 1-0 in the 90 minutes, as the away goals rule is in force in this competition.
25'
CSKA have certainly grown into this game following that glut of opportunities for Lyon, and Dzagoev, by far their best technical player, is starting to see more of the ball in the final third.
22'
WHAT A MISS! That is terrible from Musa who, after being teed up less than 10 yards out, slips at the vital moment and sends his first-time strike wide.
20'
CSKA should have made Lyon pay, there! The visitors win the ball high upfield, and Musa then does well to find Kuchaev. The wing-back had only Lopes to beat, but couldn’t keep his composure and merely lofts a harmless strike into the goalkeeper’s arms.
19'
WASTE! Another opportunity goes begging for the hosts. After breaking through CSKA’s lines with ease, Marcelo elects to go for goal from a tight angle, when he had Depay in acres of space to his left. Genesio is furious down on the touchline.
17'
Exquisite play from NDombele, who is starting to run the game now in midfield. He flicks a superb pass over CSKA’s defence and into Mariano’s path, but Ignashevich - who did seem to pull on the striker’s shirt - manages to get their first.
15'
CHANCE! A first real opening for either side, as Depay cuts in from the left flank and slips a wonderful pass in behind CSKA’s back line. Cornet burst onto it, but can only drill a rather tame effort straight at the experienced Akinfeev.
13'
K. Nababkin gets yellow.
Yellow card Kirill Nababkin
This game hasn’t settled at all yet, with lots of scrappy fouls preventing either side finding any rhythm. As I type, Nababkin receives the first booking of the match after he slides in on Marcel.
10'
A chance now for CSKA, after Golovin is scythed down by Ferri just to the left of centre. Nacho steps up to take it, but his effort sails way over.
8'
Lyon, even without Fekir or Traore, still possess plenty of firepower up top, though, and CSKA’s defence will have to deny Depay or Cornet the room to utilise their pace and get in behind.
6'
CSKA's gameplan seems relatively simple at the moment; sit deep, and let Lyon have the ball, but break at any opportunity. Wernbloom is dropping extremely deep, while Musa is out on the left at times, but the visitors do look dangerous on the counter.
4'
A first chance now for Lyon, as Depay tries his luck from range. His strike was always rising, but takes a deflection and soars wide. The former Manchester United winger delivers the resulting corner, but CSKA clear with ease.
2'
Almost an early opening for the visitors, as Dzagoev - CSKA's creator-in-chief - picks up possession 20 yards out. He prods a throughball into the general direction of Wernbloom, but the Swedish forward is flagged offside.
1'
KICK-OFF! Donning their blue and red strip, CSKA Moscow get proceedings underway.
Hello and welcome, football fans, to LIVE coverage of the second leg of this Europa League round of 16 tie between Lyon and CSKA Moscow!
Lyon, beaten semi-finalists in this competition last term, lead 1-0 on aggregate thanks to Marcelo's second-half header at Arena CSKA, and will fancy their chances against a side that sit eight points adrift of Russian Premier League leaders Lokomotiv Moscow.
Bruno Genesio's side currently sit fourth in Ligue 1, though look in no danger of falling below that spot. However, the Europa League represents Lyon's only remaining chance of claiming some silverware this campaign, and the hosts will be hoping to build on their composed display in the first leg to progress in style this evening.
Team news from the Groupama Stadium is coming up...
Whatever Lyon do this evening, they will have to do it without main man Nabil Fekir, who is out with a knee injury. Bernard Traore has enjoyed an excellent debut season in France since his arrival from Ajax, but the winger - a Europa League finalist with the Dutch giants last term - starts on the bench.
As such, Maxwel Cornet and Memphis Depay will provide the width for the hosts, with Mariano leading the line. Viktor Goncharenko, meanwhile, has set the visitors up with three-at-the-back, and Lyon will have to ensure that Alan Dzagoev isn’t provided the time or space to feed Ahmed Musa, though the Leicester City loanee is yet to score in five appearances for the Russian side so far this term.
Half-time in Lyon, with the hosts trailing thanks to Aleksandr Golovin’s wonderful strike, against the run of play.
If there are no more goals in the second-half, this tie will go to extra-time. However, another goal for CSKA would leave Lyon with a mountain to climb - the hosts would have to score two to overcome the Russians, who would lead in terms of away goals.
The visitors have been up against it for much of the half, with Mariano and Maxwel Cornet both squandering gilt-edged chances for Lyon. Ahmed Musa also missed from close-range at the other end, but it was Golovin who stepped up to prove the difference between the two sides as it stands.
FULL TIME! CSKA Moscow are through to the Europa League quarter-finals, having overcome Lyon in dramatic style. It finishes 3-3 on the night, but 4-3 on aggregate to the visitors.
Cornet made amends early in the second half, but two goals in five minutes from the visitors turned the tie around. And despite Mariano pulling another one back late on, Lyon couldn’t find the goal that would take them through.
A superb encounter in Lyon sparked into life when Aleksandr Golovin netted in spectacular fashion, after Maxwel Cornet and Mariano had both squandered great chances for the hosts.
It’s heartbreak for last season’s beaten semi-finalists Lyon, but joy for CSKA, who have claimed a famous victory tonight, and will now take a deserved place in the last eight. Until next time, thank you and goodbye!
