And now Ramsey goes close! The Welshman breaks into the left-hand side of the CSKA penalty area and quickly shoots, but his thumping half-volley is slightly scuffed and bounces wide of the far post. He just can't seem to wrap up his hat-trick...

79'
A curling free kick is whipped into the Arsenal box and right onto the head of Vitinho, who meets it well but can only send the ball looping onto the roof of the net.

Ozil's pass was almost as good as Ramsey's finish. The German showcased great vision to pick out his team-mate with a beautiful ball.
27'
The visitors come back once again as Musa, who has looked bright so far, charges into the penalty area. He manages to get a shot away, but it's slightly overhit and fails to trouble Cech at the near post.
25'
CSKA pile bodies forward from the restart and win themselves a corner over on the left wing. It's sent towards the edge of the box by Natcho but quickly finds a red and white shirt, but, luckily for the visitors, they're able to snuff out the danger before it turns into a chance on goal.

19'
Lacazette drifts out to the right wing and quickly crosses, but he can't guide his pass into the penalty area and has to settle for a corner. Ozil's cross into the box is slightly underhit, though, and it's comfortably cleared at the near post.
17'
What a chance for Musa to make it 2-1! The Nigerian latches onto the ball inside the Arsenal box and quickly gets the better of two defenders. He then only has Cech to beat, but his low strike is poorly hit and flies into the side-netting.

A. Golovin has scored a goal for CSKA Moscow!
GOAL! What a strike by Golovin! A poorly timed push from Koscielny presents CSKA with another free kick, this time just 25 yards away from goal. Golovin steps up and curls an absolutely beautiful shot straight into the top right-hand corner of the net, where it flies past the outstretched limbs of Cech.
13'
Ramsey accidentally handles the ball deep inside the Arsenal half of the pitch, resulting in a free kick for CSKA in a decent position. The visitors can't quite make it count, however, as Aleksei Berezutski's header from the far post is headed well wide.

Ramsey scores, but it won't count! A lovely attacking move from Arsenal looks as if it's resulted in the first goal of the game, but Ozil is flagged offside just as he pokes the ball over to Ramsey, whose celebrations are immediately brought to an end after he gets the better of Akinfeev.

We're off! Arsenal get us underway, attacking from left to right.
Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of today’s Europa League quarter-final first leg between Arsenal and CSKA Moscow at the Emirates.
With 13 points separating themselves and fourth-place Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League rest solely on winning this competition. Understandably, the Gunners have shifted their focus to European matters after easily making it through the group stage, and another strong line-up has been picked by Arsene Wenger for tonight’s big clash.
Away trips to Russia often prove to be tricky affairs, so Arsenal will be aiming to give themselves as much of an advantage as possible with a positive performance this evening. They certainly impressed against AC Milan in the last round and find themselves in good form at the moment, with each of their previous four outings ending in victories.
CSKA represent a stern test for the Gunners, though, as they did well to bounce back from a 1-0 first-leg defeat against Lyon with a 3-2 win in France. That loss is the only one the Russian side have suffered in their previous eight competitive clashes, and like Arsenal they head into tonight’s game with four consecutive victories under their belts.
These sides have only met on two previous occasions, with CSKA narrowly coming away as 1-0 winners on aggregate when they took on one another in the Champions League in 2006. Wenger is able to call on Alexandre Lacazette for the first time in Europe this season, and he’ll be hoping that his inclusion will help guide his side to a much-needed win.
There’s just over 15 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let’s have a look at how the two teams will be lining up this evening…
CSKA Moscow substitutes: Ilya Pomazun, Kristijan Bistrovic, Khetag Khosonov, Georgi Milanov, Fedor Chalov, Timur Zhamaletdinov, Vitinho.
Arsenal substitutes: Matt Macey, Rob Holding, Calum Chambers, Sead Kolasinac, Mohamed Elneny, Alex Iwobi, Danny Welbeck.
Arsenal XI (4-2-3-1): Petr Cech; Hector Bellerin, Shkodran Mustafi, Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal; Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka; Mesut Ozil, Jack Wilshere, Henrikh Mkhitaryan; Alexandre Lacazette.
Arsene Wenger has decided to make five changes to the Arsenal side that started the victory against Stoke City on the weekend, with Cech, Koscielny, Xhaka, Mkhitaryan and Lacazette coming into the starting line-up to replace David Ospina, Chambers, Elneny, Welbeck and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the latter of whom is cup tied.
The two sides are making their way out onto the pitch, with just a few minutes to go until kick-off.
CSKA Moscow XI (3-1-4-2): Igor Akinfeev; Sergei Ignashevich, Vasili Berezutski, Aleksei Berezutski; Bibras Natcho; Konstantin Kuchaev, Alan Dzagoev, Aleksandr Golovin, Georgi Shchennikov; Ahmed Musa, Pontus Wernbloom.
Meanwhile, CSKA boss Viktor Goncharenko has made just one alteration to the team that featured in their last outing, with Kirill Nababkin making way for Kuchaev.
HALF-TIME: ARSENAL 4-1 CSKA MOSCOW
Well, that was a lot of fun, wasn't it? Neither side have been particularly solid defensively, and it's resulted in us being treated to an incredibly entertaining game. Arsenal have dazzled going forward, though, and they deservedly lead thanks to four wonderfully worked goals. How many more will they be able to score after the break?
The two teams are making their way back out on to the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any substitutions during the half-time break.
FULL-TIME: ARSENAL 4-1 CSKA MOSCOW
An excellent attacking performance from Arsenal means they have one foot safely in the semi-finals of the Europa League. CSKA struggled to deal with their impressive movement inside the final third of the pitch and were made to pay for some poor defending, handing them a really tough task in next week's second leg.
