Good evening and welcome along to tonight's live coverage of the Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and Hoffenheim from the Allianz Arena.
Bayern have won their last four matches but it is Hoffenheim that have the better record and they have not tasted defeat in seven contests. Julian Nagelsmann is set to leave at the end of the campaign but he will be doing all he can to better last year's third-place finish.

We will have a delayed start this evening as both teams have only just left the tunnel...
The long wait is over for German fans as the domestic season gets back underway, just two months after their disappointing showing at the World Cup. Bayern come into this contest as the favourites but this is Niko Kovac's first league game in charge and Hoffenheim will be doing all they can to upset the party.
Bayern lead by just a single goal at half-time but they are in total control at the break. Hoffenheim have had just one chance and Joelinton should have easily scored from inside the area. Muller has looked a real threat but the only blow is Coman's injury as he was causing chaos down the right wing.
Robben will now be one to watch in the second half, while Lewandowski will want to get involved more. Hoffenheim need to do more with the ball at their feet before the game goes away from them during this opening night of Bundesliga action.
The referee finally ends proceedings at the Allianz Arena and that was a crazy second half in Munich. Muller's header had given Bayern a one-nil lead at the break but Hoffenheim battled bravely to respond. Two VAR incidents caused controversy and the 3-1 scoreline did flatter Bayern this evening.
Kovac gets off to a winning start as Bayern boss, while Nagelsmann will not be too disappointed after starting with a trip to the champions!
That is all for tonight folks, thanks for joining us. Goodbye!
