The game started off with what appeared to be a real upset on the cards, with Brighton testing Ederson early on. However, Manchester City were able to take over, culminating in a great team goal in the 29th minute, with Sterling taking the honours finding the back of the net.
Brighton need to dig deep over the half time break, to find a way of regenerating their line-up, as it is all too easy for Manchester City at the moment, who are threatening a second goal. If it wasn't for some clever keeping by Ryan, the game could almost be over by now.
City came out in the second half knowing they had full control of the game, picking up where they left off in the first half. When Aguero put on a clinic to start the move for his goal in the 65th minute, just before he was subbed out of the game, the hosts knew they were home.
City continue to throw down the gauntlet to Liverpool, as they take top spot on the table. Brighton are currently sitting in 14th position, but are under a bit of scrutiny from the teams below them, as they attempt to dig their way out of the relegation zone.
