Hello and welcome to live coverage of the 2018-19 LaLiga season as high-flying Deportivo Alaves face a stern test at the hands of Champions League holders Real Madrid at Mendizorrotza.
No goals in the first half of this LaLiga clash - but both teams are very much up for this game. Alaves are doing well to hold Madrid to a stalemate - but are equally pressing themselves in an engaging encounter so far. At half-time, it's Deportivo Alaves 0-0 Real Madrid.
The quick-thinking defensive work of both teams has been the true star so far, with some excellent pieces of individual work keeping this game scoreless. Can the hosts really hold their visitors though? We'll find out soon enough.
Wow. Just wow. Alaves pick up their third ever win in LaLiga against Real Madrid - and with it, for now, go joint-top of the table. Manu Garcia's late header hands them a famous victory and leaves Los Blancos absolutely stunned. It's three games in LaLiga and four in all competitions without a goal for them now. At full-time, it finishes Alaves 1-0 Real Madrid.
This will be a day that lives long in the memory for the home supporters here. They take a hiatus for a fortnight now, with the international break, but both return to LaLiga action in two weeks. Alaves will travel to Celta Vigo next time out, while Real Madrid host Levante. Until then however, thank you for joining us - and have a good weekend!
