The Rossoneri will be seeking to continue their flawless start in the Europa League and get back to winning ways. Real Betis, however, are yet to concede a goal in the Europa League this season and will be hoping to maintain that this evening at the San Siro.
Real Betis were able to take the lead right on the 30-minute mark when Sanabria was on-hand to tap home Lo Celso’s perfect pass to open the scoring for the visitors. Betis had a handful of chances to double their lead but failed to make them count. Milan will be disappointed after a sloppy first half sees them trailing leaving them with much to do in the second half.
Milan will need to seriously up their game in this upcoming half if they are to get anything from this one. With the likes of Suso and Cutrone on the bench, Gattuso does have plenty of options if he needs to use them as the match goes on. Betis will be delighted with the first half and will look to continue that performance into the second half.
AC Milan and Real Betis will face each other again next time out in matchday four of the Europa League. After tonight’s 2-1 win for Betis, Milan will need to win in Spain to return to the top of the group. Domestically, AC Milan welcome Sampdoria whilst Betis are away to Getafe this weekend.
