After going behind after only four minutes, the hosts bounced back admirably with chances falling to Oblyakov and Shchennikov as the half went on. AS Roma, however, will be delighted to be ahead at the break after Manolas nodded home Pellegrini’s corner early into the game.
The hosts will look to continue their momentum into the second half after they began to cause Roma a few issues at the end of the first half. Oblyakov has looked the most dangerous for CSKA and on another day could have perhaps won his side a penalty. Roma will look to get Dzeko more involved in the second half as they look to build on their first half lead.
