Hazard’s free-kick is hoisted towards Barkley, but Andre Gomes makes the crucial header and the referee blows his whistle for the final time!
90' +5
Chelsea have one final free-kick in the Everton half, on the left-hand side. Can they take the lead just before the full-time whistle?!
90' +3
Less than five minutes remain and Jagielka’s introduction has seen Everton shift in formation to three centre-backs. Will that provide Everton with some solidity in the final few minutes? They are deserving of the point on the balance of play today, but Chelsea certainly have it in their locker to score late winners.
90' +1
The fourth official has given an additional five minutes for stoppages at the end of the match – can either side find a winner?!
89'
D. Calvert-Lewin enters the game and replaces Richarlison.
Confirmation of the change which sees Richarlison depart for Calvert-Lewin.
87'
Álvaro Morata gets yellow.
Morata is shown a yellow card for dissent after failing to heed Azpilicueta’s pleas to be quiet in front of the match official.
86'
Fabregas plays a pass through the Everton defence for Kante who breaks free inside the area, but he is unable to catch up to the delivery which is hit with too much pace.
82'
R. Barkley enters the game and replaces M. Kovačić.
He was always going to make an appearance wasn’t he? Barkley enters the mix for Kovacic, with less than 10 minutes left to punish his old side.
80'
Lookman jinks his way past two defenders with youthful exuberance and forces Kepa out of his goal to concede the corner.
Minute
Description
78'
Jagielka is on the scene immediately to acrobatically clear a cross that comes into the box from the right. It looks as though it’ll fall for Pedro who is lurking – but the centre-back does well to prevent that from happening.
76'
P. Jagielka enters the game and replaces G. Sigurðsson.
Sigurdsson is removed from play, with Jagielka getting a rare appearance to settle things down.
73'
J. Pickford gets yellow.
Pickford is given a yellow card for wasting time, with just under 20 minutes still to play!
70'
Pickford has a goal-kick and he’s urging his side up the pitch, which is taking slightly longer for Andre Gomes who appears to have picked up a knock after attempting to block a cross from coming in the penalty area. He should be okay to continue, but he is hobbling considerably at the moment.
68'
Pedro enters the game and replaces Willian.
Pedro comes on for Willian as Chelsea continue to search for the lead.
64'
A. Lookman enters the game and replaces Bernard.
Cesc Fàbregas enters the game and replaces Jorginho.
Willian’s corner is taken towards David Luiz but it’s cleared outside the penalty area to Jorginho whose thundering half-volley is smashed into the face of Gueye, and down the pitch for the Chelsea defenders to reclaim.
Everton make a substitution, and it’s a forward-thinking change as Lookman replaces Bernard.
Sarri counters with a change of his own, sending Fabregas on in place of Jorginho who has already been booked.
63'
David Luiz feints one way with his body before attempting a curler from outside the area which is blocked wide for a corner-kick.
60'
It’s Chelsea’s turn to be angry as Mina brings Morata down while the two wait for Willian’s cross to come down. It looks as though the defender did infringe on the striker’s movement, but the referee is having none of it!
58'
Everton players are furious with the referee as they thought Sigurdsson’s corner flicked off the hand of Rudiger. Replays show the ball did make contact with the Chelsea defender, but his extremity was in a natural position – and thus the referee’s decision to continue play is justified.
57'
Sigurdsson receives a pass in front of the penalty area and curls a right-foot shot towards Kepa who palms it up and over the bar. That’s Everton’s first shot on target in this match!
56'
Bernard lifts a pass down the left for Digne to latch onto, but the left-back raises his foot to control the ball late and he catches Willian who goes down clutching his side. After taking a moment he gets back to his feet, and Chelsea restart from a free-kick deep in their own half.
54'
Kovacic gets into the penalty area now after some lovely build-up play from Hazard, and twists and turns in order to wriggle free from his marker. The cross finally comes in towards the near post for Morata, but Pickford is off his line quickly to make an important save.
52'
Willian finds Hazard on the byline and the Belgium captain flashes a cross in front of Pickford’s goal, but Morata misses the flick and it goes out the other side for an Everton throw-in.
50'
Sigurdsson bends an incredible pass around the Chelsea defence and in the path of Walcott from just inside the opposition’s half, but the winger is unable to control the ball inside the penalty area and it goes out for a goal-kick! It really should have been directed towards Kepa, there weren’t any defenders near him.
49'
Kante plays a high, bouncing ball towards Hazard and the creative forward is unable to get a good touch to control it. He stabs it forward to Willian, but Digne is again there to steal the ball back.
48'
Kovacic plays Morata into the penalty area from his position on the left-hand side, but the striker is unable to hold his position and wanders slightly offside in front of Pickford!
46'
Chelsea start the second half from the kick-off!
45' +3
HALF-TIME: CHELSEA 0-0 EVERTON.
45' +2
Bernard gets yellow.
A. Rüdiger gets yellow.
The referee shows Bernard a yellow card for an apparent head-butt on Rudiger after the ball had left the Chelsea half. The referee hasn’t seen it, but still produces a caution.
Rudiger is also shown a yellow, perhaps for dissent.
45'
The fourth official indicates an additional three minutes for stoppages.
43'
Morata goes down under pressure from Digne inside the penalty area, but the referee is having none of it, and tells the striker to get up. There wasn’t enough in the challenge to bring him down, and it’s a good call by the match official.
41'
Andre Gomes gives away a foul in midfield after bringing Hazard down just inside the Everton half. Willian takes the free-kick to the left of the penalty area for Marcos Alonso, who hits a venomous volley towards goal. Pickford makes a crucial diving save to keep the scores level.
39'
Marco Silva is furious on the touchline as Walcott stays down after a challenge from Marcos Alonso right in front of the technical area. The defender did get the ball first, but his follow-through caught the Everton winger on the top of his foot with his studs.
37'
Willian looks for Morata in the box with a cross, but Mina is on the spot to make a stooping header. Chelsea remain in possession, but the visitors are allowing them no time or space around their defensive third.
35'
Richarlison has a dig at Kovacic and Chelsea have a free-kick which they take quickly. There’s certainly a bit of needle in the match, with three yellow cards in the first half-hour.
33'
N. Kanté gets yellow.
Kante steps through the back of Richarlison and is unable to win possession – catching the man. It’s another yellow card for a Chelsea midfielder.
31'
While Sigurdsson is off receiving further examination, Digne whips the inswinging free-kick towards the penalty spot for Keane, whose header goes high over the bar.
28'
Jorginho gets yellow.
Jorginho finally stops the Everton attack, but does so by fouling Sigurdsson a number of times, with the final challenge bringing his counter-part down in the pitch. It’s a nasty two-foot challenge, and it’s worthy of a yellow card for the Chelsea midfielder.
26'
Kovacic hits a switch in midfield towards Willian which catches Digne off-guard, but the Chelsea winger is unable to catch up with the pace of the pass, and it rolls out for a goal-kick.
24'
Willian, Marcos Alonso and David Luiz all stand over the free-kick but it’s the full-back who takes and sends the set-piece around the wall, but unfortunately for him – narrowly around the post as well.
22'
Y. Mina gets yellow.
Hazard is down in a heap and Everton players are ferociously protesting their innocence as Mina’s lunging slide tackle catches the Belgium international on the ankle. It’s a yellow card for Mina and a free-kick just outside the visiting penalty area for Chelsea.
21'
Rudiger heaves a long pass forward to Hazard who is easily cast aside by Keane. The Everton defence has looked well-structured and rigid which is not something that is often said of the visitors.
20'
David Luiz nears the penalty area but Gueye’s sliding tackle dispossesses the centre-back before he can muster a shot at goal.
19'
The corner is taken short in order to work a different angle, but the cross is blocked and Chelsea go all the way back to Kepa to restart the move.
17'
David Luiz comes forward and sprays a ball to Marcos Alonso whose cross into the area is emphatically headed away by Digne who has been really bright for Everton to start the match.
15'
Hazard is dropping deep in midfield to pick up the ball, which leaves his team-mates short of options further up the pitch. A one-two between Kovacic and the Chelsea forward fails as the return is too heavy, and Gueye breaks away from his penalty area with the ball.
12'
Coleman wins a corner after his cross is blocked by Marcos Alonso who closed down well. Digne’s deliveries have been wonderful so far – can he make Chelsea pay with this one?
10'
Walcott looks to break into the Chelsea half with the ball, but Jorginho masterfully steps in and wins the ball, keeping Everton pinned back. The home side have looked slightly better in the early stages, but it’s quite a lively match.
8'
Great defending by David Luiz stops the run of Richarlison inside the penalty area and forces him outside the box where Jorginho wins possession near the corner flag.
7'
Digne’s free-kick to the back of the penalty area finds Mina, but David Luiz gets just enough of a touch to put the Colombia international off.
6'
Rudiger looks to play a pass through the lines but Andre Gomes steps in and wins the ball, spraying it forward for Bernard who wins a foul from Azpilicueta around the Chelsea penalty area on the left.
4'
Digne’s delivery from the corner is placed perfectly inside the six-yard box for two Everton defenders, but Rudiger manages to muscle his way to a clearing touch.
3'
Sigurdsson releases Coleman down the right, but his cross is dealt with comfortably by Kante. Chelsea can’t clear their lines however and Richarlison wins a corner.

Everton get the match underway from the kick-off!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE commentary of the Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Everton!
Ninth place, but not cut adrift from the top six, Everton travel to London looking for a second consecutive win in the league, and their fourth in the last five. An EFL Cup defeat to Southampton gave the manager a chance to really focus on one competition, and it seems to have worked.
The new signings have been introduced slowly, but they have made a considerable impact. Bernard and Andre Gomes have looked sharp creatively, and Richarlison leads the club with six goals in nine matches. The Brazil international picked up a knock in the week but he is fit to feature and he’ll need to be on top form to arrest an Everton slide that has seen them lose by a combined score of 9-1 in their last three trips to the Bridge.
Such is the tightness of the Premier League that despite having not lost in their opening 11 matches, Chelsea remain second - behind Manchester City before the start of play today. Liverpool and Tottenham are level on 27 points with Maurizio Sarri’s side – making a win against the Toffees essential.
With just 15 minutes to go before kick-off, the team news has been confirmed! Let's take a look, starting with the home side.
CHELSEA SUBS: Ross Barkley, Cesc Fabregas, Davide Zappacosta, Willy Caballero, Andreas Christensen, Pedro, Olivier Giroud.
CHELSEA (4-3-3): Kepa Arrizabalaga; Marcos Alonso, David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger, Cesar Azpilicueta; Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, N’Golo Kante; Eden Hazard, Alvaro Morata, Willian.
EVERTON SUBS: Leighton Baines, Ademola Lookman, Maarten Stekelenburg, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Phil Jagielka, Cenk Tosun, Tom Davies.
EVERTON (4-2-3-1): Jordan Pickford; Seamus Coleman, Michael Keane, Yerry Mina, Lucas Digne; Andre Gomes, Idrissa Gueye; Theo Walcott, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Bernard; Richarlison.
Chelsea put an undefeated run that stretches back to the Community Shield on the line today as they welcome Everton to Stamford Bridge. A tight 1-0 win over BATE in Europa League action on Thursday guaranteed the Blues’ qualification from their group as leaders – and stretched their streak to 17 matches without a loss in all competitions.
Despite a whole host of evident quality on both teams, there has only been one strike at goal in the first half. The keepers have had little to do aside from goal-kicks, as most of the play has been confined to the middle-third of the pitch. Hazard has been forced deeper and deeper to pick up possession, leaving Morata slightly isolated. Pickford was forced into making a quality save after Willian’s free-kick was met sweetly by a Marcos Alonso volley. Other than that – the Everton defence has stood firm.
Everton’s best chances have come from set-pieces as well, with Digne’s great deliveries presenting a number of chances to Mina and Keane. Rudiger and Kante have looked sharp defending the corner kicks however, denying their opponents at every opportunity. There seems to be a slight disconnect in Marco Silva’s attack, as they have not managed to trouble Kepa. The match hangs in the balance, and either side can go on and win it.
That concludes our commentary of the Premier League fixture between Chelsea and Everton! We hope you enjoyed it!
Chelsea’s next fixture is an all-London affair as they visit Tottenham on November 24th, while Everton are also in action next after the international break, when they play host to Cardiff City.
