We're underway!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the Champions League clash between Porto and Schalke.
Both teams could clinch qualification to the knockout stages tonight, regardless of this result, as Galatasary are currently in action against Lokomotiv Moscow and a defeat for the Turkish side would see Porto and Schalke go through. It would then be a battle between the two sides to see who will finish as group winners.
Porto are currently top of Group D on 10 points, with Schalke second on eight points, so victory tonight for Porto would see them confirmed as group winners. Even a draw tonight would see Porto through to the next round, regardless of the Galatasaray result. They come into this game in terrific form, having won all of their last eight games. Meanwhile Schalke have struggled in the Bundesliga this season, they currently sit 14th in the table, but they did manage to beat Nurnberg 5-2 at the weekend.
