It's all to play for in Group G, with just two points separating all four sides. Villarreal are second on six points, after Rapid Wien beat Spartak Moscow earlier to move top of the group. Meanwhile Rangers are third on five points. Steven Gerrard's side had gone 11 matches without defeat in Europe this season before being beaten 4-3 by Spartak. However, they do come into this game on the back of a strong 3-0 victory over Livingston at the weekend and they sit second in the Scottish Premiership.
Villarreal's victory against Real Betis at the weekend was their first home league win of the season and their first victory in six matches, after a disappointing season so far which has left them 16th in the table, just three points above the relegation zone. However, they have fared much better in the Europa League.

The game got off to a slow start but it soon livened up, with Villarreal having the best chances of the game, all of which fell to Ekambi, only to be denied by McGregor in the Rangers goal. The hosts had a good opportunity midway through the half, but Goldson smashed the ball high over the crossbar from just a couple of yards out.
Rangers were reduced to 10 men just before the break, with Candeias shown a second yellow card for a late challenge. Villarreal may now try to push forward more often in search of the opening goal, as a victory tonight would secure their qualification. The hosts have it all to do.
