The referee blows his whistle and we are underway at Craven Cottage!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Premier League game between Fulham and Brighton and Hove Albion.
It has been a tough 2019 for Fulham, with their four straight defeats this month including a painful late loss against Tottenham last time out. Brighton are having a better season, but defeat tonight would be their third consecutive loss in the Premier League.
So let’s see what the two sides look like tonight, starting with Fulham.
FULHAM (3-4-3): Sergio Rico; Denis Odoi, Maxime Le Marchand, Tim Ream; Cyrus Christie, Calum Chambers, Jean Michael Seri, Joe Bryan; Andre Schurrle, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ryan Babel.
SUBS: Marcus Bettinelli, Ryan Sessegnon, Neeskens Kebano, Tom Cairney, Floyd Ayite, Luciano Vietto, Ibrahima Cisse.
SUBS: Bruno, Beram Kayal, Florin Andone, Anthony Knockaert, David Button, Daniel Burn, Yves Bissouma.
The teams are out on the pitch and we are almost ready for kick-off.
A classic away performance so far from Brighton this evening, soaking up the pressure from Fulham and being ruthless when their chances arrive. Both goals have come from the evergreen Murray, opening the scoring with a fine strike early on and then doubling the Seagulls’ advantage from close range 15 minutes later. Fulham have looked bright at times but were rightly booed off at the break.
Ranieri has already made one tactical substitution in the first half and he may be tempted to make more fairly soon to address the lack of penetration from his team. Seri has looked bright and Christie lively, but apart from that Fulham have offered very little. For Brighton they just need another 45 minutes like the first half and may be thinking about shutting up shop to be certain of taking all three points back to the south coast.
That is all for tonight, goodbye!
A shell-shocked Brighton go back to the south coast with nothing to show for their efforts despite being 2-0 up and looking comfortable at half-time. They play Watford at the weekend and will be glad to get back to the familiar surroundings of the Amex Stadium. For Fulham, they are in London again at the weekend, with the short trip to Crystal Palace. Tonight’s result moves them onto 17 points and they will be confident of making that 20 at Selhurst Park.
