Dubravka gets off his line well to punch clear a free-kick, and he's fouled in the process as Newcastle get a free-kick of their own, which they are in no rush to take. That might be it for the Foxes.
90' +2
Very straightforward stuff for Newcastle here in defence, as Leicester are completely out of ideas. It all smells of desperation for the hosts, who are lifting everything into the box rather hopefully, without any real conviction.
90'
Due to a handful of stoppages, there will be a minumum of five minutes added on at the end of this match.
88'
Newcastle are looking as assured as ever in defence, doing well to not only keep Leicester at bay, but also advance the ball up the pitch when they win it back, offering their defence some respite. Leicester need to dig deep here and find another gear.
86'
Time winding down on Leicester as they're into the final five minutes at the King Power and struggling to find a way through. Opportunities have been limited for them, making those misses that much harder to swallow. Leicester haven't managed a shot on target since the 28th minute.
82'
M. Diamé enters the game and replaces Ki Sung-Yueng.
A second change for the visitors sees Ki give way for Diame, who should provide some fresh legs in midfield. Ki has played really well, but he's grown increasingly tired.
80'
M. Albrighton enters the game and replaces H. Barnes.
And Leicester make their final change with 10 minutes to play as Albrighton replaces Barnes on the wing.
78'
C. Atsu enters the game and replaces M. Almirón.
A first Newcastle change sees Atsu come on in place of Almiron on the flank.
77'
Javier Manquillo gets yellow.
Fatigue looks to be an issue for Manquillo, who is struggling at the moment. He takes out Pereira to halt a Leicester break, and is shown a yellow card.
Minute
Description
75'
That's a massive letdown for Leicester as Maddison lines up the free-kick, but doesn't manage to get it to dip as he skies it from 25 yards. With opportunities limited, he will be regretting that effort.
74'
F. Schär gets yellow.
Schar needs to keep his cool. He's penalised for a foul in a dangerous position, just catching Maguire as they both went in for a 50-50 ball. He has some choice words for Maguire as well, with Lascelles needing to hold his team-mate back. Eventually Schar is booked.
72'
K. Ịheanachọ enters the game and replaces D. Gray.
N. Mendy enters the game and replaces W. Ndidi.
The first in a double switch for Leicester sees Iheanacho replace Gray in attack.
The other change is a straight swap in midfield, as Mendy replaces Ndidi.
70'
Both sides have plenty of activity going on right now on the touchline, and it looks as though Leicester are keen to freshen things up. Newcastle have some men warming up as well, but not with as much urgency.
68'
K. Schmeichel gets yellow.
Schmeichel comes way out of his goal, closer to the halfway line to give the referee a piece of his mind as Ritchie goes down after play comes to a halt and requests a bit of treatment. That doesn't please Schmeichel, who argues Newcastle are wasting time, and instead gets himself booked for dissent.
66'
Pressure really building now as Leicester have set up camp in the attacking half. You can feel the momentum shifting after Newcastle made such a strong start to the half.
64'
Maddison tries to catch Newcastle napping from the ensuing set piece, trying to roll Vardy through to the right of the wall as opposed to having a go at goal, but the visitors are wise to it.
63'
Ki Sung-Yueng gets yellow.
Ki arrives late to try and cut out a pass, taking out Maddison in the process, as he has his name taken in the referee's book.
60'
Has to be better! Almiron sprints forward on a lovely run off the ball, begging to be picked out by Perez. All the scorer has to do is roll a pass in front of him to chase, but he sends it straight at Almiron who can't sort out his footing and the chance is gone.
58'
It might be time for Rodgers to go to his bench. The visitors are really taking over control of this match as they continue to grow in stature, looking increasingly threatening on the front foot.
56'
Newcastle are seeing a lot more of the ball than they did in the first half, playing with plenty of confidence since the restart. Leicester are still trailing, and now trending in the wrong direction to boot.
54'
Rondon does well to slip beyond his man and into space down the left, before floating in a delicious cross towards the far post. Perez is there but doesn't commit to it, trying to meet it on the volley instead of diving in with his head. As a result he scuffs contact, and really should have left it in the end for Almiron, who was unmarked a couple of yards to his right.
50'
A decent spell in possession for Leicester is completely wasted by Ndidi, who foregoes options to his left as he tries a strike from distance, but floats an effort miles over the bar.
48'
It has been a sluggish start to the second half, with both sides seeing a little of the ball, which is being contained largely in the midfield third. The sides each seem a bit out of sync coming out of the interval.
46'
Leicester get the second half underway. No changes at the interval.
45' +2
HALF-TIME: LEICESTER 0-1 NEWCASTLE.
45'
There will be a minimum of two minutes added on at the end of this first half.
41'
Y. Tielemans gets yellow.
A first yellow card of the match is shown to Tielemans, who slides in late and gets his studs into the ankle of Ki, whose foot was planted in the turf. That's certainly a painful one. Hopefully it hasn't done any actual damage to Ki's ankle. He's down receiving treatment for the time being.
39'
The hosts really seem to be lacking in ideas. Their interplay has been bright at times, but far too inconsistent. They're relying a bit heavily on moments of individual skill, waiting for guys like Barnes and Maddison to make their runs and take on defenders.
37'
All the responsibility falls on the plate of Leicester now, who really need three points to maintain a realistic hope of playing Europa League football next season. They're doing far too much of their passing on the periphery, however, which is making life far too easy on Newcastle.
35'
How will Leicester respond to falling behind? They've dominated possession and have had the bulk of the chances, but find themselves behind. This plays even more into Newcastle's hand, as they can be quite content to sit in their defensive shell.
32'
Ayoze Pérez has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by M. Ritchie.
NEWCASTLE TAKE A BIG STEP TO SAFETY! 1-0! It could be a massive goal in their quest for survival! Ritchie bends an inviting delivery in towards the near post and Perez does brilliantly to run in front of a flat-footed Morgan and glance a delicious header in at the far post!
Good work from Ritchie to read the play there, pick up the loose ball and float in a terrific cross for Perez to attack.
31'
Ambitious from Rondon, who spots Schmeichel off his line and tries to float a strike over the keeper's head from close to 45 yards, but gets the contact all wrong. He scuffs his effort so bad that it actually runs out for a Leicester throw-in.
25'
A counter from Newcastle leads to an opportunity for Almiron, who does well to pluck the ball out from his feet and get a shot off, but Schmeichel isn't troubled. Almiron is still looking for his first Premier League goal since arriving from MLS' Atlanta United on deadline day.
23'
There's a good flow to this match, with very little in terms of stoppages. There's hardly been many whistles, which has allowed the match to adopt a nice pace, with both sides looking comfortably in a rhythym.
19'
Leicester are having no success trying to break Newcastle down, with the visitors so well organised in defence. The Magpies have an excellent shape about them off the ball, and they're closing their gaps appropriately when the Foxes do try and penetrate.
13'
Decent idea, poor execution from Barnes. He uses the overlapping run of Chilwell to his advantage, cutting inside onto his right before trying to pick out the top corner, but gets the contact wrong as his strike sails high and wide.
11'
Not a ton of intent on display from Leicester, who are showing plenty of patience in possession. They've had good movement off the ball, but seem hesitant for whatever reason to try and pick out that incisive ball forward.
9'
Newcastle need to break quicker when they win the ball back. They've been a bit too static in possession since the opening minute - indecisive on the counter, allowing Leicester to quickly get bodies behind the ball.
5'
It's Leicester who have settled in quicker after a frenzied start, with Newcastle very content to drop into their defensive shell and maintain their shape. Possession has been dominated by the hosts thus far, to the tune of 80 per cent.
3'
Strong start from Newcastle, who already appear to have more spring in their step than they did against Crystal Palace. They win an early corner which Lascelles rises to meet, but his header makes for a simple save for Schmeichel. Back the other way come Leicester, and Vardy flicks Barnes inviting cross towards goal, but Dubravka collects with ease.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Newcastle in their black and white stripes as they get the match underway, with Leicester in blue.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of this Friday night Premier League match as Leicester City welcome Newcastle to the King Power Stadium!
After losing his first match at the club, Leicester have strung together four successive victories under Brendan Rodgers as they have climbed into seventh in the table, strengthening their bid as the best side in the Premier League outside the ‘big six’.
The Europa League is now within their grasp, but they will have to be at the very top of their game to keep this momentum going as after taking on Newcastle and West Ham in the next two weeks, they close out the season against Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea.
Newcastle appeared safe a month ago, but just one point from three matches out of the international break has them teetering dangerously close to the drop once again, seven points up on Cardiff who have a game in hand.
Cardiff will have played two fewer games than Newcastle after tonight, putting increased pressure on Rafa Benitez’s side to leave the King Power with a result, ahead of massive six-pointers against Southampton and Brighton in the next two weeks.
LEICESTER (4-5-1): Kasper Schmeichel; Ricardo Pereira, Wes Morgan, Harry Maguire, Ben Chilwell; Demarai Gray, Youri Tielemans, Wilfred Ndidi, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes; Jamie Vardy.
SUBS: Federico Fernandez, Mohamed Diame, Karl Darlow, DeAndre Yedlin, Yoshinori Muto, Christian Atsu, Jonjo Shelvey.
SUBS: Jonny Evans, Danny Ward, Marc Albrighton, Nampalys Mendy, Christian Fuchs, Shinji Okazaki, Kelechi Iheanacho.
NEWCASTLE (5-4-1): Martin Dubravka; Javier Manquillo, Fabian Schar, Jamaal Lascelles, Paul Dummett, Matt Ritchie; Ayoze Perez, Isaac Hayden, Ki Sung-yueng, Miguel Almiron; Salomon Rondon.
With Newcastle keeping so many bodies behind the ball it's all been rather congested in midfield when Leicester are in possession. They could do with removing a body from the middle and adding in another striker to play off Vardy, with Okazaki and Iheanacho both viable options.
Up next for Leicester is a trip to West Ham, while Newcastle welcome Southampton to St. James' Park. That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
