City are seeing out the match with the minimum of fuss. United know the game is over and they are now chasing shadows, desperately trying to win the ball back. There are just 60 seconds left to play at Old Trafford.
90' +1
Four minutes have been added on at Old Trafford. The stadium is emptying, with home supporters knowing that there is little chance of a comeback, as there was in the reverse fixture last season.
89'
Danilo enters the game and replaces İ. Gündoğan.
L. Shaw gets yellow.
Gabriel Jesus enters the game and replaces S. Agüero.
Gundogan knocks the ball past Shaw and the United full-back blocks his opponent's path to earn a late booking.
Gundogan, who has put in a terrific shift today, is replaced by Danilo with a minute of normal time to go.
Aguero also makes way with the job done for Guardiola's men. Jesus takes over up top.
88'
This is turning out to be a lot more comfortable than expected from City's perspective. They stepped things up in the early stages of the second half are were rewarded with a couple of goals, which should be enough to move them another step closer to the title.
87'
Pogba shoots from 30 yards and the ball deflects off Gundogan into a dangerous position. Before Rashford can get on the end of the loose ball, though, Ederson - a commanding presence all game - races off his line and smothers it.
85'
United are not afraid to take risks by throwing bodies forward. Why not, I guess - they have just five minutes, plus added time, to score a couple of goals. City are remaining strong at the back and there does not look to be a way through for Solskjaer's men.
83'
A. Sánchez enters the game and replaces M. Darmian.
A. Martial enters the game and replaces J. Lingard.
Sanchez replaces Darmian in United's third and final change, meaning the hosts will revert to a back four for the closing stages.
Martial replaces Lingard as Solskjaer makes a double change for the final 10 minutes or so of the match.
82'
United try to play the ball out from the back. Shaw is put under pressure and hooks the ball straight to an opposition player. Lindelof gets to the throughball before Aguero but De Gea, looking devoid of any confidence, kicks the ball into the path of Sane, who is closed down. Two let-offs for the hosts there in quick succession.
80'
Aguero spins in behind. Rather than go it alone he plays it to Sane down the left and the attack eventually breaks down as Smalling knocks the ball against Bernardo Silva and out of play for a goal-kick.

Description
78'
United are seeing far more of the ball than their opponents but Guardiola will not be too concerned. Rashford has Lukaku up for support but the Belgium striker's first-time shot from 16 yards is scuffed wide of the target.
76'
CHANCE FOR LINGARD! Lukaku is forced down the line by Zinchenko but he still has a go at goal, despite the angle being against him. The shot has power behind it and Ederson parries it into the path of Lingard, who is unable to adjust his feet quickly enough to convert from close range.
74'
This is brilliant from Aguero, who charges down Young to prevent the defender from launching the ball up the pitch. City have a chance to pen in their opponents, eating up more valuable seconds. They have done very well to take the sting out of the match.
72'
R. Lukaku enters the game and replaces Andreas Pereira.
Lukaku is brought on for Pereira with less than 20 minutes to go here. Solskjaer is prepared to gamble, knowing his side require a couple of goals.
70'
Pereira, perhaps fired up by the challenge on him from David Silva a couple of minutes ago, fires wide of the target from 20 yards when put under pressure by the City midfielder. Solskjaer appears to be readying his first change of the contest.
68'
Now two goals to the good, City need to see out the remainder of this match and they will be one point clear with three games to go. There is a stoppage in play as David Silva catches Pereira in the ribs with a high boot, long after the ball had gone.
66'
L. Sané has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by R. Sterling.
Sterling adds another assist to his tally. He passed the ball to Sane and the substitute forward blasted it past De Gea, who will wonder just how he failed to keep it out.
GOOOOOAAALLL!!! MAN UNITED 0-2 MAN CITY!! Guardiola's men move another giant stride closer to retaining their title! Fred passes the ball straight to Kompany, who plays the ball into the feet of Sterling. The winger finds Sane, who blasts the ball right at De Gea. It looks like being a simple one for the keeper to deal with, but he cannot keep it out with his leg and it ends up in the back of the net.
64'
Some quick passing from United forces a foul out of David Silva in a good shooting position, around 25 yards from goal. Pogba stands over the ball and blasts it straight into the wall. The home side need to make this spell on top count.
60'
Gundogan fouls Smalling to break up the flow of the game. City had been dominant for 10 minutes at the starts of the second half but United have grown back into the contest and should be level, missing a glorious chance through that Lingard sitter.
54'
Bernardo Silva has scored a goal for Manchester City! Assist by İ. Gündoğan.
Gundogan, now occuping a defensive-midfield position, managed to play the ball between the lines and Bernardo Siva did the rest.
GOOOAAALLL!!! MAN UNITED 0-1 MAN CITY! BERNARDO SILVA STRIKES!!! The defending champions open the scoring at Old Trafford through Bernardo Silva. The Portugal forward takes Gundogan's pass in his stride, carries the ball into the box and beats De Gea at his near post. De Gea perhaps could have done better but that is a good finish near the bottom corner.
53'
Gundogan lofts the ball into the box, David Silva chests it down and plays in Leroy Sane. The substitute's intended pass across the face of goal for Aguero is intercepted by Lindelof - a vital piece of defending.
52'
It has to be remembered that City are now playing without De Bruyne and Fernandinho, two of their key men. Gundogan has slotted into defensive midfield, with David Silva and Bernardo Silva either side.
51'
L. Sané enters the game and replaces Fernandinho.
Fernandinho is not a happy man. Having picked up that injury to his knee, Guardiola wasted no time in getting Sane ready to come on. Before Fernandinho was given a chance to run off the injury, Sane was brought on in his place.
50'
Rashford and Pogba link up brilliantly on the edge of the opposition box. Fernandinho manages to get back in a position to take the ball away from Pogba's feet inside the area - superb defending from arguably the finest holding midfielder in the division.
49'
Zinchenko is unhappy with the awarding of a United corner. Smalling climbs highest to nod the set-piece down, but it hits a City player in front of goal.
48'
City do something that they struggled to do pretty much throughout the first half by getting in behind their opponents. It comes via a counter as Bernardo Silva exchange passes with Sterling, leaving Young stranded in the process, but the cut-back is dealt with.
46'
RESTART! Man United get the game back underway at Old Trafford! City found their stride late in the first half and will be aiming to build on that in the early stages of the second period.
45' +4
HALF-TIME: MAN UNITED 0-0 MAN CITY
45' +3
Lingard's challenge on Gundogan, leading to this stoppage right at the end of the half, looks pretty bad in slow motion. Perhaps had the referee Andre Marriner seen it back he would have cautioned the United forward.
45'
Bernardo Silva turns over possession and the ball is played to Aguero on the edge of the box. His angled drive is dragged wide of the target.
43'
The shots have dried up over the last 20 minutes. City are being given the chance to pass the ball around but the visitors are struggling to find a way through. It looks as though we will go into half-time goalless.
42'
Pereira has plenty of space to run into but his poor first touch allows Zinchenko to make the challenge. United have finally managed to keep their foot on the ball and they win a free-kick through Gundogan's challenge on Fred.
40'
Aguero spins towards the box and is fouled by Fred before he can think about setting himself for the shot. The United midfielder, enjoying a run in the side, is fortunate to avoid being shown a yellow card.
38'
Guardiola's men really are dominating possession now, barely letting their opponents get a sniff. Young temporarily wins back the ball but he can only launch it as far as Zinchenko, who helps build another attack from the left.
36'
The last five minutes have seen City take control of the match, as many expected would be the case from the off. The defending champions are working the ball across the pitch and nearly find a way through, as Sterling latches on to Fernandinho's lofted pass but fails to bring it under control.
34'
City are enjoying a good spell on the ball. Sterling stands up a cross towards the back post but Lindelof gets to it before Aguero can pounce. The home side are struggling to get out of their own half.
33'
Young blocks Sterling's left-sided cross for a corner and pulls up. He is happy to play on, though, and he gets back in place ready for the City corner, which comes to nothing.
31'
United work a two-on-two counter. Rashford has Lingard to his left and only Kompany and Laporte to beat. He decides to go it alone and Laporte gets a foot to the ball to kill the attack.
29'
Sterling gets the better of Young but he decides to send in an early cross, which is floated into a perfect zone for De Gea to come out and collect.
28'
Young sends in a teasing cross that drops right on the penalty spot. Fernandinho stretches out to clear the ball away before a player in red can convert. United are the side on top here with nearly half an hour played.
26'
O. Zinchenko gets yellow.
The yellow card count is starting to pile up as Zinchenko is cautioned for clattering Young.
25'
Lindelof gets his head to Aguero's left-sided cross. It only drops as far as Bernardo Silva, whose audacious overhead kicks drifts a few yards wide of the target.
24'
Andreas Pereira gets yellow.
Pereira catches Zinchenko pretty late and is shown the second yellow card of the contest.
23'
SHOT FROM RANGE! Rashford is full of confidence. He takes the ball with his back to goal, turns and blasts a shot just over the crossbar from a long way out. Ederson did not look all that comfortable!
21'
Rashford is back on the pitch and seems to be moving pretty freely. He has been very lively in the opening quarter of the match - Solskjaer will not want to lose him to injury.
19'
POWERFUL SHOT! Fred is caught on the ball and Gundogan leads the charge into United's box. David Silva tees up namesake Bernardo for a fierce drive from 20 yards, which De Gea parries to safety. United counter and Rashford nearly gets on the end of a loose ball, but Ederson is quick off his line and makes contact with the ball before taking out the young striker.
17'
CLOSE! City have not really got going so far. The home side have been a lot more aggressive and have seen more of the ball in dangerous zones. Fred sends a swerving shot wide of the target and, a minute later, Lingard volleys over when picked out by a ball over the top.
15'
DE GEA ALERT! Sterling cuts in from the left and looks to pick out Aguero with a disguised throughball. Smalling gets a touch to the ball and diverts it on to his own target, but De Gea is able to react, sparing his team-mate's blushes.
12'
SAVE! United are enjoying a spell on top. A shot is blocked on the edge of the box but momentum remains with the hosts as Pogba cuts inside from the left and unleashes a shot down the middle, which Ederson keeps out with a routine save.
10'
V. Kompany gets yellow.
Kompany is really struggling. Rashford plays the ball to Lingard and is prevented from getting on the end of the return pass as Kompany blocks his path, the Belgian himself the first booking of the game.
9'
Kompany is barely given a chance to breathe when Emerson plays the ball to him, closed down in an instant by Lingard. An under-pressure Kompany puts the ball out of play, leading to roars of approval from the United supporters. The experienced centre-back tells his keeper that he should have just launched it.
8'
City win a free-kick in a good crossing position 40 yards from goal. David Silva clips it into the box and it eventually falls to Zinchenko, who badly overhits an angled pass straight out of play - another sloppy moment for the visitors.
6'
The game has settled a little now and it is clear to see that Darmian is playing alongside Lindelof and Smalling in a back three, while Shaw and Young are the wing-backs.
4'
Rashford tries to get between Laporte and Kompany but he goes to ground, seemingly having been clipped by the latter. The referee feels otherwise and play continues without a free-kick being awarded.
3'
Walker's cross into the middle of the area is headed down and away by Lindelof. Rashford chases down a loose ball but Kompany puts his foot through it to concede a throw - he did not fancy a foot race.
2'
United have decided to press their opponents high up the pitch. It is a risky tactic but it has worked so far as Sterling miscontrols Zinchenko's pass and the ball goes out of play.

KICK-OFF! Man City, who can regain top spot in the Premier League with all three points today, get us up and running at Old Trafford!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Premier League meeting between Manchester United and Manchester City at Old Trafford.
This is the toughest of City's remaining league fixtures, with many expecting them to go on and secure back-to-back titles - something last achieved by United a decade ago - should they collect all three points against their neighbours today. Pep Guardiola's men crashed out of the Champions League at the hands of Tottenham last week, but they still remain on course for a clean sweep of domestic honours. In the Premier League, it is 14 wins in their last 15 matches - another tick in the win column today and they will be a point clear of Liverpool with just three matches to go.
United are in an awkward position, knowing that one of their two fiercest rivals will finish top of the table this season. As Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has insisted, though, his side cannot afford to produce another bad display on the back of a poor run that has seen them lose six of their last eight matches in all competitions, so they will go all out for the victory today. The top-four chasing hosts sit sixth in the table and have it all to do in the remaining two-and-a-half weeks of the season if they are to finish above two of Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal.
MAN UNITED (3-5-2): David de Gea; Ashley Young (c), Chris Smalling, Victor Lindelof; Matteo Darmian, Andreas Pereira, Fred, Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw; Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford.
Man United subs: Diogo Dalot, Juan Mata, Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez, Anthony Martial, Nemanja Matic, Sergio Romero.
MAN CITY (4-3-3): Ederson; Kyle Walker, Vincent Kompany (c), Aymeric Laporte, Oleksandr Zinchenko; Ilkay Gundogan, Fernandinho, David Silva; Bernardo Silva, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling.
Man City subs: Riyad Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus, Ari Muric, Danilo, Nicolas Otamendi, Phil Foden, Leroy Sane.
The two teams are now out on the field at Old Trafford and we are moments away from kick-off.
Despite his side being second best for the final 15 minutes or so of the first half, Solskjaer will be happy enough at the interval. If nothing else, United have kept the game tight and they have had a couple of opportunities to hit their opponents on the counter. The onus, you feel, is on City - who have Sane, Mahrez and Jesus among their subs - to find a way through in the second period.
Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye!
The visitors now have just three more matches to see through, starting with Sunday's trip to Burnley. As for Man United, they face a huge showdown with top-four rivals Chelsea on the same day, likely requiring a victory in that one to keep alive their hopes of Champions League football next season.
