Since losing to Barcelona in April, Atletico have reeled off four wins on the bounce to secure second place in LaLiga. Diego Simeone's men have been in prime form over the last month, keeping three clean sheet in their four victories. An own goal from Joaquin Fernandez secured a 1-0 triumph for Los Rojiblancos last time out against Real Valladolid. Simeone will be determined for his team to end the campaign on a high note.

Atletico allowed the game to meander and were not able to stamp their authority on proceedings.
