J. Shelvey has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by S. Longstaff.
CONSOLATION FOR NEWCASTLE! Shelvey makes it 3-1 as the Magpies have their first goal of the season, with the midfielder producing a clever finish as he cuts inside from close range and slots in at the far post.
Longstaff provides the assist with a good ball to play Shelvey into the area. Perhaps he should have started?
90' +1
S. Longstaff gets yellow.
Longstaff slides in with a clean challenge, but catches Leitner on the follow-through as he's shown a yellow card. His momentum just took him through the midfielder there.
90'
S. Byram enters the game and replaces J. Lewis.
Taking no risks, Lewis is withdrawn for the final minutes as Byram takes his place with Norwich's final change.
There will be four minutes added on at the end of this match.
87'
A. Tettey enters the game and replaces T. Trybull.
A second Norwich change sees Trybull give way, with Tettey taking his place in midfield.
85'
P. Dummett gets yellow.
Dummett is lucky to escape a red as he slides in recklessly with two feet, taking out Buendia with a really dangerous and needless challenge at the halfway line.
84'
M. Vrančić enters the game and replaces M. Stiepermann.
Norwich's first change of the match sees Vrancic take the place of Stiepermann in attack.
81'
It's being played at a snail's pace now as both sides exchange harmless possession. It's all being contained in midfield with the result completely beyond any doubt.
79'
The substitution of Joelinton looks a big mistake for Newcastle. Almiron is not a forward and he has not looked good at all playing up top. Joelinton is better suited as a secondary striker as well, as he's less of a target man. They're really going to struggle for goals this season by the looks of things, unless Muto can be that guy.
77'
This is getting embarrassing for Newcastle, who are set for a miserable flight home. They've been relatively abysmal tonight at both ends. Bruce has his work cut out for him.

Description
75'
T. Pukki has scored a goal for Norwich City! Assist by T. Cantwell.
THERE'S THE HAT-TRICK! It's 3-0 and Pukki has taken this game over! Cantwell runs through on goal and lays it off for the striker, who cuts inside around a defender and drives a finish back in at the near post to put this beyond reach!
Cantwell provides his second assist of the match, both off simple passes to Pukki, who did the rest.
74'
S. Longstaff enters the game and replaces Ki Sung-Yueng.
A second Newcastle change sees Longstaff replace Ki. Perhaps too late for the Magpies.
69'
That second goal has really taken the wind out of Newcastle's sails. They look a defeated side as Norwich are afforded time and space to play on the ball. The hosts win a free-kick, which eventually results in a corner, as the pressure remains on Dubravka's goal.
67'
Y. Muto enters the game and replaces Joelinton.
That is the change indeed, as Muto comes on to take the place of Joelinton with the first switch of the match.
63'
T. Pukki has scored a goal for Norwich City! Assist by T. Cantwell.
Cantwell provides the assist, doing well to get forward before laying the ball off for Pukki.
PUKKI HAS HIS SECOND! And Norwich lead 2-0! The striker is proving unstoppable! It's his third goal in two games, this time taking a simple pass, cutting onto his right and driving a strike through the legs of Krafth and in at the near post!
62'
END-TO-END ACTION! Krul does brilliantly to parry as a corner is flicked on at the near post, and then back the other way Aarons is slipped through into the area, but his strike is blocked bravely behind by Dummett!
60'
Shelvey does well to work his way to the byline, but his low, driven cross is beaten away smartly by Krul. Moments later Newcastle are in again, but Hanley makes a vital interception to prevent Hayden from playing through Joelinton!
58'
Norwich have settled in after a shaky start to the half, doing better to keep possession as they look to get back into a rhythym. It's all rather tame from them though, as they pass it around at the halfway line.
54'
It's been a much more muted start to the second half by Norwich, and their fans have quietened down a fair bit as well. They're allowing Newcastle to pull themselves back into this match, after looking so firmly in control through 45 minutes.
50'
The pressure still isn't relieved as Newcastle win a free-kick in a very advanced position on the right flank. Again, though, Norwich deal with it. They were very poor defending set pieces against Liverpool last week, but have looked much more assured here today.
48'
Newcastle have made a positive start to this second half, attacking with more urgency displaying a better understanding among one another. Norwich spend some nervy moments camped out in defence, and given their vulnerabilities at the back they will be keen to spend as little time defending as possible in this second half.
46'
Back underway at Carrow Road!
45' +2
HALF-TIME: NORWICH CITY 1-0 NEWCASTLE.
45'
There will be a minimum of two minutes added on at the end of this first half.
44'
Joelinton gets yellow.
Frustration sets in for Joelinton as he catches Aarons very late, making no attempt to win the ball. That's very cynical, and a painful one for the full-back as well who requires a bit of attention here.
43'
Mesmerising passing from Norwich on the edge of the Newcastle penalty area, but it's just a bit too intricate from them as eventually a stray pass allows the visitors to break. The hosts really can knock it around, though.
37'
M. Aarons gets yellow.
Aarons picks up the first booking of the match for a poorly timed challenge on Ritchie.
36'
Outside of Hayden, no one in this Newcastle side has offered any real creativity going forward. They're trying to play balls behind the back line for their forwards to chase, but Norwich have plenty of pace in defence as they continuously snuff them out.
34'
That's two games and two goals for Pukki in the Premier League. He's had a few chances tonight, and he's gone and scored the hardest one of them all. It really is no less than Norwich deserve, and now Newcastle have it all to do.
32'
T. Pukki has scored a goal for Norwich City!
BREATHTAKING FROM PUKKI! It's 1-0 and that was absolutely exceptional! Newcastle can only partially clear their lines following a corner, and a weak header away from goal is met by Pukki, who lashes a magnificent volley into the top corner!
29'
Newcastle have really grown into the match over the last few minutes. Hayden has come to life down that right flank and is proving a real threat to Norwich. Another strong run sees him into a dangerous position, but this time his cross is ushered behind safely for a corner.
23'
Shelvey bends an inviting cross into the box, moments after Hayden wins a free-kick on the right, but no one can get a decisive touch as it runs through for the ex-Newcastle goalkeeper Krul.
21'
Almiron and Joelinton have been too static up top. They've hardly got involved thus far and when they do get something to chase, Norwich are always first to it. There's just no real urgency from the Magpies.
17'
Newcastle have been limited to just a pair of muted attacks thus far, resulting in shots from Krafth and Ritchie that never were going to trouble Krul. They just seem to be a bit disjointed going forward, lacking options when they get into the attacking half.
11'
This has been a really bright start from Norwich, as the belief is flowing through their side. They're attacking with great pace and intent, as Newcastle desperately try to settle the ship.
3'
Enterprising play from Norwich as they get on the attack in the early stages, winning the game's first corner following a clever move down the left flank. After the danger is cleared, the hosts get in again, this time down the right, but Pukki's cross is dealt with.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Norwich get the match underway at Carrow Road, in their classic yellow and green strip, with Newcastle in black and white.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of this Premier League match as Norwich City host Newcastle!
Premier League football makes its official return to Carrow Road today after an over three-year hiatus, and there should be quite the atmosphere backing the Canaries as they look to make the occasion a joyous one.
There were plenty of positives to take from Norwich’s defeat at Anfield last weekend, but their naivety was exposed by a rampant Liverpool side – something Daniel Farke will have to correct if they are to survive the season.
Newcastle’s campaign also got off to a losing start, which did nothing to ease the unrest in Tyneside amidst threats of a boycott at St. James’ Park with supporters accusing the club of a lack of ambition.
Funnily enough, Norwich spent the least amount of money this summer while Newcastle were in the top half of the Premier League in that regard. Nonetheless, the only numbers that matters are points and the Magpies could run into some big problems if those don’t come soon.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
SUBS: Alexander Tettey, Sam Byram, Kenny McLean, Mario Vrancic, Ralf Fahrmann, Dennis Srbeny, Patrick Roberts.
NORWICH CITY (4-2-3-1): Tim Krul; Max Aarons, Grant Hanley, Ben Godfrey, Jamal Lewis; Tom Trybull, Moritz Leitner; Emiliano Buendia, Marco Stiepermann, Todd Cantwell; Teemu Pukki.
SUBS: Javier Manquillo, Sean Longstaff, Federico Fernandez, Yoshinori Muto, Karl Darlow, Jetro Willems, Ciaran Clark.
NEWCASTLE (3-5-2): Martin Dubravka; Fabian Schar, Jamaal Lascelles, Paul Dummett; Emil Krafth, Isaac Hayden, Jonjo Schelvey, Ki Sung-yueng, Matt Ritchie; Joelinton, Miguel Almiron.
After being inexplicably dropped by Bruce, perhaps Longstaff will be turned to off the bench in the second half. He's what they have been missing in midfield, as it's all been rather stale from them. Norwich will be in no rush to make any changes, with Farke surely pleased with how that half unfolded.
It doesn't get any easier for Newcastle, who visit Tottenham next weekend, while Norwich welcome Chelsea to Carrow Road. That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
