Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Europa League group stage meeting between AZ and Manchester United at the Cars Jeans Stadium!
United won their opening game against Astana 1-0, but have been struggling for form since. They are winless in all competitions since they last played in the competition, drawing two and losing one of their matches. Their opponents, AZ, have been on a much different run. Since drawing their first group game 2-2 with Partizan Belgrade, they've won all three of their matches and haven't conceded a goal in that time.
AZ STARTING XI (4-3-3): Marco Bizot; Yukinari Sugawara, Ron Vlaar, Stijn Wuytens, Owen Wijndal; Fredrik Midtsjo, Dani de Wit, Teun Koopmeiners; Calvin Stengs, Myron Boadu, Oussama Idrissi.
AZ SUBS: Tijjani Reijnders, Thomas Ouwejan, Zakaria Aboukhlal, Pantelis Hatzidiakos, Jordy Clasie, Rody de Boer, Ferdy Druijf.
MANCHESTER UNITED STARTING XI (4-2-3-1): David de Gea; Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo, Brandon Williams; Fred, Nemanja Matic; Juan Mata, Angel Gomes, Daniel James; Mason Greenwood.
MANCHESTER UNITED SUBS: Sergio Romero, Tahith Chong, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, Axel Tuanzebe.
The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away.
Slot will be the happier of the two managers at half-time due to his side's performance. They've looked a threat every time they've gone forward and will feel that they can get a goal in the second half if they continue to play the same way. As for Solskjaer, he will want to see a big improvement after the break. United didn't have a shot on target in the first half, but if they can move the ball upfield quicker, then they'll be able to get in behind AZ and create more chances for themselves.
United remain unbeaten in the Europa League after two games but Solskjaer will be hoping he will see a much-improved performance when his side face Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday. AZ extend their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions and will be looking to continue that when they face Willem II at the weekend.
