Christie’s delivery for Findlay’s goal is his third assist of the evening!
5-0 TO SCOTLAND! Christie’s 15th corner of the fixture falls perfectly to the unmarked Findlay - who nods it past the helpless Simoncini! It’s a goal and an assist for the centre-back tonight!
65'
L. Shankland has scored a goal for Scotland!
SCOTLAND HAVE A FOURTH! It’s an easy finish as McTominay smacks a long-range shot off the crossbar, ricocheting it back into play. As the goalkeeper is on the floor after a diving effort, Shankland coolly takes the ball under his control and taps it into the open net! 4-0 to the hosts!
63'
Scotland pile forward down the right, finding Shankland at the far post. The striker pulls the ball down out of the air and lays it back for McTominay, who commits a foul whilst trying to manufacture some space for a shot. San Marino have a free-kick.
61'
San Marino push forward and get around the Scotland penalty area in possession - but Nanni’s low, driven shot has considerable pace taken off of it by the wet surface, before McLaughlin easily stoops down to make the grab.
59'
There does seem to be some legitimate concern from the match officials about the viability of this match, as the rain continues to pour and passing becomes more and more difficult. There’s no official word yet - but the referee and linesmen are keeping an eye on the conditions.
57'
Palmer hoists a long ball into the San Marino penalty area for Shankland, but he’s unable to keep it in his feet as the goalkeeper comes out to make the catch.
55'
The rain has not let up, with the downpour showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. The pitch looks a soggy mess, with players splashing around with every step. It’s made passing and moving at pace extremely difficult, as it holds up with every push forward.

The referee shows a yellow card to Golinucci for attempting to pull back McGinn.
50'
San Marino finally get into the Scotland half, but a poor switch from right to left from Gasperoni allows Scotland to step up and win the ball back.

MCGINN HAS HIS THIRD! IT’S A FIRST HALF HAT-TRICK! Christie’s corner meets the head of Findlay, who pushes it forward for McGinn to latch onto and turn home! 3-0 to Scotland!
It's a rare centre-back assist as Findlay's cushioned header allowed McGinn to finish with ease!
44'
McTominay has looked desperate to get on the scoresheet, but he’s shanked his latest effort as it fails to curl into the top of the far corner.
40'
Forrest looks to get in on the action by blazing a shot from outside the penalty area, but it fails to stay down as it goes over the crossbar.
38'
Christie’s 12th corner doesn’t get a chance to meet a team-mate as the referee blows the play dead for some off-the-ball tussling which sees San Marino get a chance to clear their lines.
36'
The free-kick is taken to the far post where Devlin centres it with a cushioned header, but a lack of team-mates in the area sees the chance go untaken as San Marino clear.
34'
M. Giardi gets yellow.
Giardi is booked for a late sliding challenge on Christie, where there was no intent to play the ball. Scotland have a free-kick on the left flank, right near the touchline.
31'
Christie swings Scotland’s ninth corner of the match towards the far post for Forrest, who has the space to swing his leg at it - though he miscues the volley, sending it out for yet another corner-kick.
29'
As we approach the half-hour mark, it’s apparent that San Marino are thoroughly second-best. They’ve barely had a look inside the Scotland half, with an easily cleared corner the closest the visitors have come to troubling McLaughlin.
27'
J. McGinn has scored a goal for Scotland!
SCOTLAND DOUBLE THEIR ADVANTAGE! It’s also a second of the evening for McGinn, who finds himself in the right spot at the right time after Simoncini could only parry a McTominay shot right into the path of the midfielder! 2-0 to the hosts.

21'
Forrest shifts the ball to open up some room and fires a low strike towards goal from outside the area, but the shot is comfortable for the goalkeeper to save.
19'
Christie sends a corner towards the six-yard box for Shankland, but a desperate defender in front of the striker does just enough to put him off and clear the danger as San Marino once again hang on.
16'
JUST WIDE! Shankland looks to make amends after his earlier shot was saved by backing the centre-back down, turning towards goal and firing at Simoncini - only for his effort to go just wide of the near post.
14'
San Marino - the lowest-ranked side in the world at 210 - has it all to do as they find themselves down 1-0 at Hampden Park. They’ve laboured mightily in possession and they’ve rarely entered the opposing half - which would be difficult with less than 15 per cent possession.
12'
J. McGinn has scored a goal for Scotland! Assist by R. Christie.
SCOTLAND HAVE FOUND THE BREAKTHROUGH! 1-0 TO THE HOSTS! A long, searching ball is hit towards Christie who cuts inside and fires a low, curling shot into the far post, which seems to have taken the slightest deflection off the foot of McGinn, who taps it past the goalkeeper!
Christie will surely be disappointed not to have the goal, but his low-driven strike does end up as the assist.
9'
McTominay follows Christie’s leading pass into the penalty area, but a sliding defender ensures that the shot from the Manchester United midfielder goes out for another corner - the sixth of the match.
5'
Scotland take a corner short to change the angle before whipping it in, with McTominay the intended target. He’s poorly marked at the back post, but he sends the chance wide.
3'
McGregor goes for placement over power with a shot from the edge of the area as San Marino find it difficult to close the ball down in the early stages. The shot is deflected for a corner, but a San Marino defender rises highest to clear.
1'
Scotland get the match underway from the kick-off!
Both of these teams are on extremely poor runs of form, with hosts Scotland losing their last four matches in a row. Consecutive 4-0 defeats to Belgium and Russia have seen Steve Clarke’s side eliminated from automatic entry into the 2020 tournament, though there still remains a sliver of hope with a home play-off due to their performance in the inaugural Nations League.
Hello and welcome to our LIVE commentary of the Euro qualifier from Group I between Scotland and San Marino!
Results were always going to be hard to come by for San Marino, a side who have shipped an almost impossible 30 goals in their last five matches, without scoring once. The positive news for the visitors today is that Scotland handed San Marino their smallest margin of defeat in Group I - losing 2-0.
Scotland can overtake Kazakhstan with a win, which would put them fourth in the group - though that changes little in the grand scheme of things. San Marino are unable to move up in the table with a result, as Scotland hold a six-point lead over their opponents.
SAN MARINO SUBS: Matteo Zavoli, Simone Benedettini, Alex Della Valle, Mirko Palazzi, Andrea Grandoni, Lorenzo Lunadei, Enrico Golinucci, Marco Bernardi, Luca Ceccaroli, Adolfo Jose Hirsch, Fabio Ramon Tomassini.
SAN MARINO XI (4-2-3-1): Aldo Simoncini; Alessandro D’Addario, Cristian Brolli, Luca Censoni, Manuel Battistini; Alessandro Golinucci, Marcello Mularoni; Mattia Giardi, Filippo Berardi, Alex Gasperoni; Nicola Nanni.
SCOTLAND SUBS: David Marshall, Craig MacGillivray, Charles Mulgrew, Declan Gallagher, Stephen O’Donnell, Ryan Fraser, Stuart Armstrong, Lewis Morgan, Greg Taylor, Johnny Russell.
SCOTLAND XI (4-3-3): Jon McLaughlin; Andy Robertson, Stuart Findlay, Michael Devlin, Liam Palmer; Callum McGregor, John McGinn, Scott McTominay; James Forrest, Lawrence Shankland, Ryan Christie.
With 15 minutes to go before kick-off, it's time to look at how the two sides will line up today, starting with the hosts.
San Marino have been outmatched by a wide margin, as they are unable to break out of their low defensive block and move up the field. The manager has quite the ideological conundrum; will he instruct his team to open up and push forward in search of their first qualification goal, or will they retreat further into their shell and hope for damage limitation? Scotland have been much better, but they certainly haven’t been clinical. Perhaps there is a chance to steal an away goal at Hampden in the second half.
That concludes our Group I coverage of the fixture between Scotland and San Marino - we hope you enjoyed it!
Scotland are next in action in Cyprus on November 16, while San Marino host Kazakhstan on the same day.
