We're underway at the Estadio do Dragao.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Europa League clash between Porto and Rangers at the Estadio do Dragao.
Group G is wide open after two matches as all four teams are sitting on three points apiece. Porto began their campaign with a 2-1 win over Young Boys as a brace from Francisco Soares guided them to the victory. However, Sergio Conceicao's men suffered a 2-0 defeat on the road last time out to Feyenoord. The Portuguese side are bottom of the group on goal difference and have to issue a response tonight.
Rangers also won their opening game of the group stage courtesy of Sheyi Ojo's strike that edged out Feyenoord at Ibrox. However, they allowed a 1-0 lead to slip on the road to Young Boys, succumbing to a last-gasp defeat at the hands of the Swiss outfit when Christian Fassnacht found the net. Steven Gerrard's side have been solid this season and will need a resilient display to earn a positive result.
PORTO (4-4-2): Agustin Marchesin; Corona, Pepe, Ivan Marcano, Alex Telles; Otavio, Mateus Uribe, Danilo Pereira, Luis Diaz; Ze Luis, Moussa Marega.
PORTO SUBS: Bruno Costa, Shoya Nakajima, Wilson Manafa, Chancel Mbemba, Tiquinho Soares, Diogo Costa, Fabio Silva.
RANGERS (4-1-4-1): Allan McGregor; James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Filip Helander, Borna Barisic; Steven Davis; Brandon Barker, Ryan Jack, Glen Kamara, Ryan Kent; Alfredo Morelos.
RANGERS SUBS: Jermain Defoe, Sheyi Ojo, Wes Foderingham, Jon Flanagan, Joe Aribo, Nikola Katic, Scott Arfield.
Porto will be fuming with themselves after allowing Rangers back into the game before half-time. They were in control with their lead through Diaz's strike, but a defensive lapse paved the way for Morelos to equalise. The home side have to be more clinical in the second half to secure the three points.
Porto have a crucial top-of-the-table clash at the weekend in their next outing against Famalicao on home soil. Rangers are at home to Motherwell in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
