Juventus will look to improve in the second half after failing to find their rhythm for much of the opening 45 minutes. Ronaldo has struggled to get into the game thus far, and Sarri will seek to get the experienced goalscorer more involved after the break as the reigning champions look to reclaim top spot in Serie A. Genoa, meanwhile, will be pleased with their first-half display and will look to continue in much the same fashion after the restart. Ghiglione has found space down the right flank on numerous occasions, and that is an area that Motta will look to exploit going forward.
Juventus travel to Torino next time out in Serie A seeking to secure back-to-back victories. Genoa, meanwhile, host Udinese as they look to bounce back.
Juventus come into this clash having won seven of their previous nine games, conceding only eight goals in that time. Maurizio Sarri’s side currently sit second in Serie A, but a win against Genoa could see them return to the top of the table. The visitors, meanwhile, have lost five of their opening nine matches, and come into this match 18th in the league. Newly-appointed manager, Thiago Motta, will be hopeful that his team will be able to end their run of failing to win away from home in Serie A since February 2019.
That brings an end to our coverage of the Serie A fixture between Juventus and Genoa at Allianz Stadium. Thank you very much for joining us. Goodbye!
