Arsenal shift the ball from left to right and then back again in an attempt to find some space. Brighton are standing firm, though, and this latest attacking move breaks down before any sort of shot can arrive.
90' +1
Four minutes have been added on at the end of the match!
90'
WIDE! Pepe sees off competition from David Luiz to take the free-kick, but he cannot find the target with his attempt from 25 yards. The ball trickles wide, with Ryan happy to watch it all the way.
89'
Pepe and Trossard collide around 25 yards from the Brighton goal and the referee awards a free-kick to the hosts. Pepe and David Luiz are the two players standing over the ball...
88'
S. Duffy enters the game and replaces S. Alzate.
Potter, sensing Arsenal are starting to build some late momentum, makes another change - Duffy is on for Alzate.
85'
Bellerin's cross from the right is far too close to Ryan, who comfortably gathers at his near post. The Arsenal full-back claims he was fouled but the referee disagrees.
84'
Brighton are pressing for a third. A cross into the box is cut out at the near post, but Arsenal are really struggling to get the ball forward. Ljungberg, having used all three subs, can do little more than watch on.
80'
L. Trossard enters the game and replaces P. Groß.
N. Maupay has scored a goal for Brighton & Hove Albion! Assist by A. Mooy.
Trossard is on for Gross in Brighton's second change of the match.
GOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! ARSENAL 1-2 BRIGHTON!! Maupay regains the lead for Brighton with 10 minutes to play at the Emirates Stadium! Mooy sends in a cross from the left and Maupay does brilliantly to guide it away from Leno into the far corner. What a huge win this could be for Brighton!
Mooy's cross was pretty decent, but this goal was all about the quality of Maupay's glancing header after pulling away from David Luiz.
79'
Potter will be delighted with the way this game is petering out. Arsenal are struggling to create chances like they were earlier in the half and time is fast running out.
Minute
Description
77'
Gabriel Martinelli enters the game and replaces A. Lacazette.
The substitutions are coming thick and fast now. On comes Martinelli for Lacazette as Ljungberg rolls the dice for one last time.
76'
Martín Montoya enters the game and replaces A. Connolly.
Brighton boss Potter makes his first change of the contest by bringing on Montoya for Connolly.
74'
Arsenal have not offered as much of an attacking threat since David Luiz's goal was ruled out by VAR. They have a little over 15 minutes to find a winner, but it is hard to see where it is going to come from on the basis of the last five minutes.
72'
K. Tierney enters the game and replaces S. Kolašinac.
Kolasinac is replaced by Tierney for the final 20 minutes or so.
71'
Brighton are looking to slow down the tempo now, passing it around their three-man midfield. Arsenal win back possession and Alzate goes right through Kolasinac, who is in some pain.
70'
SHOT! Lacazette times his run to perfection down the right and has the awareness to pick out Ozil in the area. The German midfielder takes on the shot first time and flashes it just wide of the target.
68'
David Luiz gets yellow.
David Luiz bundles over Connolly and, like central-defensive partner Sokratis in the first half, is shown a yellow card.
66'
That has to go down as a real let-off for Brighton. This match is incredibly open - could Potter be tempted to change things slightly to slow down the tempo?
63'
Burn fouls Pepe, who has performed well since being introduced, and Arsenal will have a chance to send in a free-kick from 30 yards.
62'
All of a sudden it is Brighton who are back on top. Propper's cross drops for Maupay a few yards from goal but Leno pounces on it before the striker can connect with his shot.
60'
P. Groß gets yellow.
Brighton work the corner short and Mooy drills a cross towards the six-yard box, but it is cut out.
Gross becomes the first Brighton player to be shown a yellow card for stopping Ozil from charging away.
59'
Gross carries the ball forward and plays it to the feet of Mooy on the left. The central midfielder cuts inside and decides to have a go at goal, his shot deflecting behind for a corner.
57'
Arsenal are really going for it in this second half, with both full-backs pushing high up the pitch. They look good value for a second goal at the moment, but they are also leaving themselves open at the back.
56'
Kolasinac's cross is just out of Aubameyang's reach as Arsenal once again come close to turning this game around.
54'
Connolly, who has been very lively today, breaks through but is unable to pick out Maupay - not for the first time. Up the other end, Bellerin's cross is crying out for a touch but nobody in red can turn it home.
50'
A. Lacazette has scored a goal for Arsenal! Assist by M. Özil.
Pepe is playing out on the right, while Aubameyang has shifted to the left. Brighton have had a lot more defending to do since the restart, and it will likely remain that way for as long as the scoreline reads 1-0 to the visitors.
GOOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! ARSENAL 1-1 BRIGHTON!! Arsenal's fast start to the second half pays off as they draw themselves level! Lacazette flicks on a corner into the far corner. Kolasinac and Propper jumped for it but neither could make a telling touch.
Ozil sent the corner into a dangerous area and Lacazette did the rest. Game on at the Emirates Stadium! It's the first goal Ozil has assisted in the Premier League since February.
48'
Arsenal are trying to force the issue early in the second half, but Brighton are standing firm at the back. A couple of flicks nearly come off, though in the end the hosts have to settle for a corner as Mooy cuts out the danger.
46'
N. Pépé enters the game and replaces J. Willock.
Ljungberg had made a change at the interval, with Pepe replacing Willock.
RESTART! Brighton, who will move to within one point of their opponents as things stand, get us back under way at the Emirates Stadium! Will Arsenal's half-time change make a difference?
45' +2
HALF-TIME: ARSENAL 0-1 BRIGHTON
45' +1
S. Papastathopoulos gets yellow.
Sokratis needlessly lunges in on Connolly close to the corner flag to give away a free-kick and earn himself a yellow card.
45'
Aubameyang's cross causes some panic in the Brighton box. Lacazette throws himself to the floor under slight contact from Dunk, but the referee tells him to get back to his feet.
44'
Connolly has what appears to be a simple pass to strike partner Maupay alongside him, but he is unable to pick out his team-mate and David Luiz gets a toe to it to concede a corner, which comes to nothing.
38'
Brighton are refusing to sit back on their lead. Mooy charges down the left and the ball is worked across to Propper, but he overhits his attempted throughball for Connolly and Leno is able to collect.
36'
A. Webster has scored a goal for Brighton & Hove Albion!
GOOOOOAAAALLLL!!!! ARSENAL 0-1 BRIGHTON!! The visitors take what can only be described as a deserved lead at Emirates Stadium! Brighton win another corner and Burn heads it down to Connolly, who is unable to make clean contact with his shot after chesting it down. But Webster is there to smash home the loose ball for the game's opening goal.
35'
With 10 minutes to go until half-time, the Arsenal fans are starting to become a little restless. Their side has been outplayed by Brighton over the last 15 minutes and the visitors look as though they could make a breakthrough before the interval.
33'
DECENT ATTEMPT! A quick free-kick is played into the feet of Maupay, who turns 30 yards from goal, carries the ball forward and tests Leno with a shot down to the keeper's left. Leno is then tested by Propper moments later.
31'
Arsenal are struggling to find any sort of momentum - not surprising given the run of form they are on. Ljungberg is barking out instructions but at the moment it is Brighton who are looking the more composed in possession.
29'
Brighton have edged possession so far, seeing 56 per cent of the ball - it is not often an away side can say that at Emirates Stadium. Albion boss Potter will argue his side have done enough to warrant a lead, having come close a couple of times.
27'
The ball drops to the feet of Lacazette and he spots Aubameyang alongside him in a better position. The Gabon international gets his shot all wrong, though, dragging it wide of the target.
23'
A few Brighton players put their name forward to take the free-kick, which is right outside the Arsenal box. In the end it is Gross who takes it on, sending his effort straight into the wall.
20'
Héctor Bellerín gets yellow.
Bellerin is cautioned for pulling back on Connolly on the edge of the Arsenal box. In fact, it may even have been just inside - VAR will have a look at this for a possible penalty.
19'
Arsenal turn over possession deep inside their own half and play the ball forward. Ozil gets in behind and cuts the ball back for Lacazette, only for the offside flag to go up - Ozil was clearly off.
18'
Brighton have seen a lot more of the ball over the last few minutes, with Mooy looking to control the tempo of the match. Arsenal started in a positive manner but have not really found their stride just yet, though there is plenty of time to find a breakthrough.
14'
Ozil and Lacazette exchange passes in and around the Brighton box. The latter gets a shot in at the end of the move but is clearly offside, though credit must go to Ryan for making the save.
12'
SAVE! The ball drops for David Luiz to strike from just outside the box, but his shot is hit right at Ryan. Lacazette tries to get on the end of the follow-up but is flagged for offside.
11'
Another cross comes into the box and Lacazette flicks it on. The France international feels he was pushed in the back by Gross, but the referee does not agree.
9'
Arsenal are having plenty of joy down their left. A cross is floated towards Aubameyang at the back post, but Burn gets his head to it first.
8'
Brighton defend the Arsenal corner and, a minute or so later, they get up the other end and win one of their own through Sokratis' clearance. Arsenal deal with the initial danger and Mooy then clips the ball out of play for a goal-kick.
6'
Arsenal have played some positive football in the early stages, with Xhaka key to it. Aubameyang and Bellerin get involved in this latest attack, which culminates in Ozil's flick deflecting behind for a corner.
4'
Xhaka finds Kolasinac with a nice ball down the left and Arsenal have five players powering forward. The move soon breaks down, but that is a sign of how the hosts are going to approach this game - all-out attack.
2'
A nervy moment for Arsenal inside the opening minute! David Luiz and Leno leave the ball for one another and Connolly nearly pounces, but Leno just about gets to it first.
1'
KICK-OFF! Arsenal, who can potentially move up to sixth place in the Premier League with victory today, get us up and running!
Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the Premier League meeting between Arsenal and Brighton and Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal enter this match winless in eight matches in all competitions and are in a crisis of sorts, having sacked boss Unai Emery last week and replaced him with Freddie Ljungberg on an interim basis. The Gunners drew 2-2 with Norwich City in Ljungberg's first match in charge and enter this contest 10th in the Premier League, 10 points off the top four with a game in hand to play.
Arsenal subs: Kieran Tierney, Nicolas Pepe, Reiss Nelson, Gabriel Martinelli, Emiliano Martinez, Calum Chambers, Matteo Guendouzi.
ARSENAL STARTING XI (4-2-3-1): Bernd Leno; Hector Bellerin, Sokratis, David Luiz, Sead Kolasinac; Granit Xhaka, Lucas Torreira; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (c), Joe Willock, Mesut Ozil; Alexandre Lacazette.
Brighton subs: David Button, Yves Bissouma, Bernardo, Shane Duffy, Martin Montoya, Leandro Trossard, Glenn Murray.
Brighton are hardly flying themselves, sitting just a point above the relegation zone after losing three league matches in a row. Away from home their record is even worse, with Graham Potter's men losing their last four games away from the Amex Stadium - not since 2006 have they lost five or more in succession on their travels.
The teams are coming out onto the pitch at the Emirates Stadium, with kick-off just moments away.
BRIGHTON STARTING XI (4-3-2-1): Mat Ryan; Steven Alzate, Adam Webster, Lewis Dunk (c), Dan Burn; Davy Propper, Dale Stephens, Aaron Mooy; Pascal Gross, Aaron Connolly; Neal Maupay.
Arsenal have only lost one of their last five home league games when trailing at half-time, most recently beating Aston Villa 3-2 in September from this position. It is far from game over just yet, then, and interim boss Ljungberg may well be tempted to call upon Pepe from the bench to provide something a little different. As for opposite number Potter, he will simply be after more of the same.
That's all for today's live coverage. Thanks for joining!
Arsenal's winless run now spans nine matches - their worst streak since March 1977. Next up for the Gunners is a trip to West Ham on Monday, while Brighton - just a point behind Arsenal - host Wolves on Sunday.
