Carroll and Coady get into a race to win the loose ball inside the Wolves penalty area, but the ageing striker just pushes his opponent over after realising he could not keep pace.
90' +1
The fourth official indicates four additional minutes of stoppage time.
90'
Moutinho delivers a corner to the centre of the Newcastle penalty area, but Carroll does his defensive work effectively - heading the ball away immediately.
89'
Newcastle are knocking it around desperately, looking to sap time away from the clock. A desperation ball up to Carroll gets to Dendoncker first - prompting the substitute striker to put a cynical challenge in on the defender.
87'
M. Longstaff gets yellow.
Matty Longstaff slides in on Vinagre, getting the ball first but taking the man out robustly in the process. It's a yellow card for the midfielder.
85'
Vinagre replaces Neto as Wolves continue to hunt for the winner.
83'
With less than 10 minutes remaining, Wolves have done everything they possibly can to win the match, but still remain held by a resolute and determined Newcastle. Bruce must be proud of his side, as they’ve shown quite the effort.
79'
A. Carroll enters the game and replaces Joelinton.
With 10 minutes remaining, Bruce uses his final substitution - bringing Carroll on for Joelinton.
77'
DUBRAVKA MAKES ANOTHER EXCEPTIONAL SAVE! Dendoncker floats a delightful chip into the six-yard box, where Jimenez just misses the redirection with his outstretched leg. It bounces up at the far post for Neto to get on target, but the goalkeeper comes racing across his line to get anything to the ball - doing so successfully! In an equally incredible feat - he manages to push his save back off Neto, winning a goal-kick!

Description
75'
Jimenez looks to get to the byline, but Willem’s touch-tight defending wins him possession, before earning a free-kick for Dubravka to clear his area.
71'
Wolves come forward yet again, restarting another attack after a Newcastle clearance downfield. As expected, the hosts are pouring onto the visitors, with the Magpies adopting a tactic of getting it as far away from their own 18 as possible - at the earliest chance.
69'
The ensuing free-kick on the left is swung into the Newcastle penalty area, but it’s put too close to Dubravka, inviting the goalkeeper to step off his line and catch it securely.
67'
C. Atsu gets yellow.
Atsu lunges into a late sliding challenge on Neto, catching the winger squarely and bringing him down. It’s a second booking in two minutes for Newcastle as Atsu is shown a yellow.
65'
M. Almirón gets yellow.
The match is getting a bit chippy as Almiron is booked for a foul in midfield - the last in a string of challenges from Newcastle’s midfielders.
62'
Saiss’ diagonal pass is brought under control tremendously well with a lovely bit of skill by Jimenez at the right-hand corner of the penalty area. He is allowed to pick his head up, but nothing more as Clark and Almiron combine to squeeze the striker out of possession.
60'
Doherty catches Joelinton on the bottom of the shin with his studs in a dangerous, but not malicious challenge. It leaves the Newcastle forward limping, but the referee decides to give nothing more than a stern warning.
58'
Wolves are certainly in the ascendancy, but they’ve done little with the possession they’ve had - save for the chance at the outset of the second half. Newcastle are defending deeper, with Almiron an ever-present force around both penalty areas - causing Wolves issues.
56'
Sean Longstaff takes Newcastle’s second corner of the half into the penalty area for Fernandez, but the organised Wolves defence get to it first and clear it away.
54'
Willems gets down the left and cuts it back to Sean Longstaff, who waits outside the penalty area to take on a shot that is eventually blocked, and cleared easily by Dendoncker.
52'
Newcastle take a corner short, but the combination of Sean Longstaff and Almiron contrive to give it away on the corner of the penalty area, never managing a cross into the box - despite the men from the back waiting for service.
50'
It’s a poor restart for Newcastle, who could have very easily gone behind for the first time in the match just a minute after the restart. They’re having difficulty keeping possession as Wolves press and harry - as they’re not quite able to find the open man at the required pace.
46'
Wolves get the match restarted from the kick-off!
45' +5
HALF-TIME: WOLVES 1-1 NEWCASTLE.
45' +3
Newcastle look desperate to get to half-time level, as Wolves pour forward in an attempt to snatch a go-ahead goal in the late stages of the first. The hosts have been slightly the better side - though they’ve looked better since the Magpies were forced into their first change.
45' +1
The fourth official indicates five additional minutes of stoppages.
45'
Moutinho takes it short to Neves, but the usually reliable midfielder scuffs his shot - sending the effort high and wide.
43'
Neto goes down under the challenge of Fernandez, winning Wolves a free-kick on the left wing.
40'
Despite Moutinho still holding the side of his head - no doubt feeling the effects of the collision - both he and Joelinton will return to the action; at least to see out the first half.
38'
This is getting absolutely comical as Joelinton is down on halfway, being looked at for a potential injury. At the same time, Moutinho’s head is being tended to, after taking a knee to the temple during a sliding challenge on the touchline.
36'
Bruce will be happy should his side go into the interval level, as they’ve faced enormous difficulties in the first 45. Almiron has looked the bright spark, but he’s had to do more defending since opening the scoring - giving the Wolves defence a chance to breathe.
30'
The match has really slowed down, as a number of stoppages and injuries have caused a disjointed feel. With 15 minutes until halftime, the match is still there to be won, which could cause a late flurry.
28'
C. Atsu enters the game and replaces D. Gayle.
A second injury substitution in 30 minutes sees Gayle limp off towards the touchline, with Atsu coming on to replace him.
25'
The corner is taken short, which allows for an outswinging delivery, but a foul in the penalty area gives Newcastle a free-kick with which to clear their lines.
24'
Moutinho’s beautiful, curling free-kick is turned behind by the head of Gayle, giving Wolves a corner.
22'
Joelinton is called for a foul on Saiss, after the striker raised his arm and caught the defender in the face. It looked a nasty challenge, though the referee deems it nothing more than jostling for an aerial ball.
18'
Jonny looks to nip in ahead of Sean Longstaff and win possession back ahead of the Newcastle 18, but the referee awards the visitors a free-kick for a foul during the press. The young midfielder spends an extra second on the ground much to the worry of the travelling Magpie supporters - but he gets up unharmed.
16'
Things go from bad to worse for Newcastle in a three-minute span, as an enforced change and a goal conceded have wildly changed the complexion of the match. It’s been an enthralling opening 15!
14'
L. Dendoncker has scored a goal for Wolverhampton Wanderers!
WOLVES RESTORE PARITY! A corner from the right is taken to the edge of the six-yard box, where it falls perfectly to the unmarked Dendoncker - who easily taps it past Dubravka before the delivery could touch the ground!
13'
F. Lejeune enters the game and replaces P. Dummett.
Confirmation of the earlier change, as Dummett is replaced by Lejeune.
11'
Newcastle continue to struggle with injuries as the match comes to a halt due to an apparent issue with Dummett. Lejeune looks to be getting ready on the sideline, in front of a visibly unhappy Steve Bruce.
9'
Hayden sends a cross to the far side of Wolves’ penalty area, but reassured defending from Coady gets possession back without too much trouble.
7'
M. Almirón has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by D. Gayle.
A SECOND CHANCE IS WHAT HE NEEDED! 1-0 NEWCASTLE! Almiron makes amends for missing the target two minutes earlier with a stunning curler into the far corner! He ran onto Gayle’s lay-off inside the penalty area and beat the goalkeeper with a magical first-time effort!
In a bit of quick thinking, Gayle managed to poke the ball back to the oncoming Almiron after being unable to control it himself. It’s great awareness and fantastic vision from the winger.
3'
Wolves are taking their time in the early stages, looking to go down the left wing through Jonny before turning and passing back towards the defence. They’re taking the time to find their feet, allowing Newcastle to settle into a comfortable defensive shape.

Newcastle get the match underway from the kick-off!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE commentary of the Premier League fixture between Wolves and Newcastle United!
Two defeats on the bounce in the Premier League leave Wolves in seventh - two points behind Sheffield United in fifth. An unforgiving fixture list has been unkind to Nuno Espirito Santo’s side; who have had to play Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool within the span of three weeks. Despite losing two of the three top-table clashes, they’re still in with a fighting chance for a European place with less than half the season remaining.
Newcastle are themselves limping into this fixture, coming off of a 1-1 draw with Rochdale in the FA Cup; a result that ended a spell of three-straight defeats (all in the Premier League). Despite sitting five points above the drop in 13th, the Magpies have the third-worst attack in the league, with just three goals in their last five matches.
WOLVES XI (3-4-3): Rui Patricio; Romain Saiss, Conor Coady, Leander Dendoncker; Jonny, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Matt Doherty; Pedro Neto, Raul Jimenez, Adama Traore.
With 10 minutes remaining before kick-off, let's take a look at the team news - starting with the hosts!
NEWCASTLE SUBS: Kelland Watts, Florian Lejeune, Karl Darlow, Andy Carroll, Christian Atsu, Matt Ritchie, Thomas Allen.
WOLVES SUBS: Oskar Buur, Morgan Gibbs-White, Maximilian Kilman, Benny Ashley-Seal, Ruben Vinagre, Ryan Bennett, John Ruddy.
NEWCASTLE XI (3-4-3): Martin Dubravka; Paul Dummett, Federico Fernandez, Ciaran Clark; Isaac Hayden, Sean Longstaff, Matty Longstaff, Jetro Willems; Miguel Almiron, Joelinton, Dwight Gayle.
Wolves will no doubt continue to pile the pressure on Newcastle, whose legs will continue to tire over the second 45. With only one substitution remaining, Bruce has to ensure that his side are tactically rigid, defending in numbers and in constant communication. The pace of Jonny and Traore down the flanks are a pressing concern, as only Almiron and Atsu really have the pace to match their counterparts. The Magpies will likely be content with a draw given the circumstances, and it’ll be interesting to see how Nuno responds.
That concludes our commentary of the Premier League fixture between Wolves and Newcastle. We hope you enjoyed it!
Wolves travel to Manchester United in an FA Cup replay in midweek, before visiting Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday. Newcastle are in their own replay with Rochdale, before hosting Chelsea.
