Villa make a late substitution, with Trezeguet coming off and he has been replaced by El Ghazi.
84'
A goal now for Palace would make it a very nervy finish for Villa, as they bid to secure their first Premier League victory since January.
82'
Palace are showing a little bit more urgency in the last few minutes, but Villa look pretty comfortable at the back, they've done a good job of keeping Zaha quiet today.
80'

Minute
Description
73'
Good Villa counter-attack! Targett releases Grealish down the left, who dribbles past a couple of Palace defenders and tries to work space for the shot, but runs out of room and gets pushed out wide, with the visitors clearing the danger.
71'
Palace have hardly seen the ball in the Villa half in the second half, with the hosts looking very comfortable and good value for their 2-0 lead.
67'
L. Milivojević gets yellow.
Another Palace player is booked now, with Milivojevic tripping and then having a little bit of afters with Grealish.
65'
J. Riedewald enters the game and replaces C. Kouyaté.
A. Townsend enters the game and replaces J. Ayew.
The other Palace substitution sees Kouyate replaced by Riedewald.
Palace make a double change now, the first sees Ayew come off the pitch and he has been replaced by Townsend.
61'
This would be a massive result for Villa, closing the gap on Watford and West Ham to four points, with those two sides set to face eachother next time out.
59'
Trézéguet has scored a goal for Aston Villa! Assist by C. Hourihane.
Hourihane with another assist for a Trezeguet goal, the midfielder heads the ball back into the penalty area following the Palace clearance, straight into the path of the winger.
GOOOAAALLL! Trezeguet with his second goal of the game to put Villa 2-0 ahead! McGinn whips a cross into the box, which is headed clear, but only to Hourihane, who feeds Trezeguet in the box and he pokes it past Guaita and into the back of the net from close range. Poor defending from Palace to allow Trezeguet the time to turn and pick his spot.
57'
Once again Palace are giving away a lot of silly free-kicks, which is handing the ball back to Villa and Hourihane is providing excellent delivery almost every time.
55'
Hourihane whips another good free-kick into the penalty area, which no Villa players manage to read and get on the end of. However, Sakho does make an attempt to clear it and he gets a touch on it, which luckily just flies into the hands of his keeper, rather than the back of his own net.
54'
C. Kouyaté gets yellow.
Kouyate is booked for his late challenge on Douglas Luiz, with the Villa man just getting to the ball ahead of his opponent.
53'
It's Palace in possession at the moment, they are keeping the ball well in the middle of the pitch, with Villa having to sit deep. Can they extend their lead? Or, will Palace be able to hit back.
46'
J. McCarthy enters the game and replaces J. McArthur.
The second half is under way!
Palace have made a substitution ahead of the second half, with McArthur replaced by McCarthy.
45' +7
HALF-TIME: ASTON VILLA 1-0 CRYSTAL PALACE
45' +4
Trézéguet has scored a goal for Aston Villa!
GOOOAAALLL! Villa lead 1-0 just before the break! Grealish is fouled around 30 yards out and Hourihane whips the free-kick into the penalty area, which Palace fail to deal with and it gets all the way to the back post where Trezeguet was waiting and he drills the ball past Guaita and into the back of the net. Huge goal for the hosts.
45' +2
Villa have had the better of the first half, but they haven't been able to create enough to really test the Palace defence, with the visitors looking fairly comfortable.
45'
There will be a minimum of five minutes added time played at the end of the first half.
40'
There's not long left to play at Villa Park before the end of the first half now, can either side break the deadlock before the half-time whistle?
37'
M. Targett enters the game and replaces N. Taylor.
Here is the enforced Villa substitution, with Taylor heading off and he has been replaced by Targett.
35'
Taylor has stayed on the pitch for Villa despite seeming to pick up a knock early on and he has dealt with Zaha well down the left so far. However, Targett is now getting stripped and ready to come on, so it looks like the left-back cannot continue for much longer.
33'
We're past the half an hour mark now at Villa Park and it remains goalless between the two sides, with not much goalmouth action so far. This is a game that Villa really need to win if they are to stay up this season.
27'
M. Sakho gets yellow.
T. Mings gets yellow.
W. Zaha gets yellow.
A few yellow cards being issued now after the coming together, with Mings booked for his reaction to Zaha's challenge on his team-mate.
Zaha is booked for the original foul and coming together with Mings in the box.
Sakho is also booked for Palace, so the centre-back will have to be careful for the rest of the game.
25'
Stoppage in play here now as the two teams have a drinks break and Taylor is receiving some medical treatment on his injury, but it looks like he is going to try and play on.
23'
Another opportunity for Villa from a set piece, with Hourihane stood over the ball. The midfielder whips the ball into the penalty area, trying to catch out Guaita at the near post, but the keeper reads it well and makes a comfortable save at his near post.
21'
Apart from the disallowed goal, there hasn't been any other chances at goal for either side, but Palace do look the stronger of the two teams in attack.
19'
Almost! Benteke almost sneaks through in behind the Villa defence, but Taylor just manages to get across in the nick of time to pass the ball back to his keeper, who smashes it out of play.
15'
Palace are giving away a few free-kicks at the moment, which could come back to haunt them as Hourihane normally has an excellent set piece delivery. Luckily for the visitors so far, the delivery hasn't been the best and Palace have been able to clear the danger.
13'
Despite a good start to the game, Villa are now starting to sit a bit deeper as Palace enjoy the majority of the possession and they looked more confident since the disallowed goal.
11'
It looks like Villa might have another injury issue now as Targett is getting warmed up on the sidelines and receiving some instructions, so it looks like they might be about to make another change to their side.
5'
Bright start here by Villa, they have enjoyed more of the possession in the opening five minutes, with El Mohamady getting forward well down the right wing.
3'
Blocked! Good break forward by Villa after stealing the ball from Palace in midfield and Grealish gets to the edge of the penalty area, lays it out wide to Hourihane, who sees his shot well blocked by Ward. Good move.
2'
Villa have been forced into making a change just minutes before kick-off, after Hause picked up an injury during the warm-up, so Konsa has moved to centre-back and El Mohamady comes into the side at right-back.
