Time is very much running out for a last-gasp winner here. Has either side got a final chance up their sleeve?
90' +1
A. Sutormin enters the game and replaces M. Ozdoev.
Wendel enters the game and replaces D. Kuzyaev.
Wendel too is introduced for the hosts, replacing Kuzyaev.
Aleksey Sutormin has arrived for Zenit as injury time ticks on, with Ozdoev making way.
90'
There will be four added minutes here.
89'
Barrios tries to draw a dangerous free-kick and instead is penalised for simulation himself. It's not the first time he's done that today, though he sees no card.
86'
D. Krugovoy gets yellow.
There's more bookings here than at the Ritz. Krugovoy is the latest to be flashed a yellow card in this match.
85'
Pepe Reina gets yellow.
D. Lovren gets yellow.
Luiz Felipe enters the game and replaces J. Correa.
Substitution Carlos Joaquín Correa Luiz Felipe Ramos Marchi
Lovren draws a free-kick inside his own box to help skate some danger and then gets promptly booked for back chat. You win some, you lose some!
Pepe Reina has also been handed a booking, despite the fact he didn't apepar to be near anyone at first glance. Not sure what that one was about.
82'
F. Caicedo has scored a goal for Lazio! Assist by F. Acerbi.
Acerbi laid on the ball there and it is an absolute beauty. It's read superbly. It hasn't quite clicked for Lazio today but that is worth its weight in gold.
GOAL! FELIPE CAICEDO SQUARES IT FOR LAZIO! 1-1! The substitute has been one of his side's brightest presences since coming off the bench and latches onto a wonderfully weighted square pass, rifling it home at the near-left post from 10 yards out or so. The keeper had no chance at that pace. All square heading into the final 10 minutes!
78'
F. Caicedo gets yellow.
W. Barrios gets yellow.
D. Krugovoy enters the game and replaces Y. Zhirkov.
Words appear to have been exchanged now because Barrios is right back on his feet, looking pretty mutinous himself. He gets a booking now, perhaps for simulation.
Zenit introduce Danil Krugovoy as their latest change, replacing Zhirkov.
77'
Caicedo picks up a booking for a challenge on Barrios and the Lazio man is furious. He slid in and perhaps caught the Zenit man with a glancing flicker, prompting him to immediately throw himself to the ground with all the gusto of an am drams pantomime dame.

Description
75'
Is that a Lazio penalty? The referee doesn't think so and VAR doesn't intervene, but Marusic certainly looked like he'd been brought down by a trailing arm at first glance. A moment later, a neat supply header is turned wide of the left post by Caicedo.
73'
In the end, it's a bit of a wet fish of an attempt for Lazio. Hoedt slaps the set-piece straight into the wall and the follow-up shot lands nearer to Moscow than it does the goal. Zenit survive.
71'
Oh, this could be expensive for Zenit. Barrios is cited for a foul on Correa just on the lip of the hosts' penalty area semi-circle. It's prime set-piece territory for Lazio to find their response.
70'
Midfield has become more of a see-saw tussle, as both sides look to press their advantage.
68'
Ozdoyev has a nibble at the heels of a Lazio man after wrestling the ball between them in a to-and-fro, and he escapes any further punishment.
66'
To say that the knock looked particularly innocuous, Dzyuba is only just now back to his feet. The free-kick is turned into the Lazio box and tumbles away past the left post.
64'
Mostovoy is nearly into the Zenit box again, but the final ball instead is waylaid and Lazio launch their own counter. Again, the final ball is soft and Zenit's own counter-counter ends with Dzyuba writhing on the ground following a clash with Hoedt.
61'
A. Mostovoy enters the game and replaces A. Erokhin.
Erokhin has tried to soldier on but he's going to make his exit now, with Andrey Mostovoy on in his place for the hosts.
59'
F. Caicedo enters the game and replaces V. Muriqi.
Andreas Pereira enters the game and replaces M. Fares.
S. Milinković-Savić gets yellow.
Felipe Caicedo is the latest new face for Lazio now, replacing Muriqi up front.
Milinkovic-Savic and Barrios come together in mid-air, and the latter goes down clutching his face. Not too sure where he was caught there - if at all - but the general contact was certainly clumsy and his complaints about a booking are for nothing.
Manchester United loanee Andreas Pereira also joins the fray for the visitors, replacing Fares.
58'
Zenit are back to a full contingent, as Yerokhin - with a spot of strapping near the ankle - joins back in on the action.
56'
The hosts are the ones who are looking a little bit more predatory when they're on the ball, but they are a man down for now. Yerokhin is down on the sidelines, getting some running repairs.
54'
This game hasn't quite erupted the way its rather rough-and-tumble opening exchanges suggested it might. What spark can be kicked into it from here?
52'
D. Cataldi enters the game and replaces M. Parolo.
Hello, Lazio have made a surprise early change here. Parolo is off and Danilo Cataldi is on for the Serie A side.
50'
Here's a bit of a worry for goalscorer Yerokhin. The Zenit man looks to have picked up a knock and though he's still moving, his gait can only be described as fragile.
48'
Fares has to work quick to cut the legs out of a Zenit break that threatens to steamroll its way down the right flank.
46'
We're back underway in this Champions League clash between Zenit and Lazio. Can the hosts see this one out for their first European points of the season, or will their visitors snatch a result back from this?
45'
HALF-TIME: ZENIT 1-0 LAZIO
44'
Now Zenit unfurl a touch of pace, building forward and pushing Lazio back into their own rear third. Dzyuba lurks near the end of a cross into the box; it finds only Hoedt, who clears it with muscular precision.
42'
That being said, every Lazio shirt looks to have taken up semi-permanent residence inside the Zenit half now except for Reina, who is actually playing quite forward when the occasional back-pass is nudged his way. The hosts are almost sitting back, for the moment.
40'
Whisper it quietly but how much are Lazio missing Ciro Immobile today? The visitors pin their hosts back in the left corner, and almost snaffle the ball into the box - but there's a lack of a killer instinct so far in there, You sense Immobile would be all over those chances.
38'
Zenit haven't really threatened themselves since that opener, but that won't worry them too much. They have a hold on this game, as it stands, and are pretty firm around their back third.
36'
Muriqi just pushes a header over the bar now, from pretty much the penalty spot. Close but no cigar for the visitors, who have rallied with a bit more structure.
34'
Lazio respond straight out of the gate, roaring forward and they almost snaffle an equaliser off the bat. Barrios does excellent work to get a block in and then draw the game away from his side's box.
32'
A. Erokhin has scored a goal for Zenit! Assist by A. Dzyuba.
Dzyuba is the man with the final header and there's questions of whether there was an offside play in the mix. But the goal stands and the hosts have their noses in front!
GOAL! ALEKSANDR EROKHIN HANDS ZENIT THE LEAD! 1-0! It's a well-worked ball into the box and Lazio fail to clear their lines, allowing a pair of inventive headers to find the attacker unmarked, whereupon he whips an exciting volley in at the near post.
30'
Lazio have looked a little shaky around the back though elsewhere in terms of their distrubution. They may have had more ball but they aren't carving out the chances they could.
28'
Pepe Reina - who spent part of last season on loan with Aston Villa - hasn't lost his touch, has he? The keeper makes a cheeky distribution in order to wrong-foot a Zenit attacker closing in on a loose ball. The Spaniard remains intelligent between the posts.
26'
That being said, they haven't really given anyone anything to cheer about so far. Save a couple of long-range Lazio efforts, this has been a sedate, even tepid affair so far for the most part, though Correa almost slips into the Zenit box after a poor back-header which requires some quick keeping.
24'
It's still a bit surreal to see fans back in stadiums, it must be said. Russia have socially distanced crowds at their sporting events now and Zenit might hope that atmosphere could play a part in helping them to victory.
20'
Muriqi makes relatively easy metres through midfield and cracks a shot off from just outside the box that sails away from its intended target. Lazio aren't shy to have a try so far.
19'
Both sides have enjoyed fairly solid starts to their domestic campaigns this year. But they do say that you can see the true mettle of a side on the biggest stages and this is definitely a step up.
17'
Lazio - who are playing in their striking neon-lime strip today, for those kit watchers out there - have marginally enjoyed more ball, more shots and more successful passing so far. It will be curious to see if that holds.
15'
Douglas is already having his work cut out for the hosts, trying to deliver some sharp counters and keep the rest of the Zenit back-line sharp to the danger presented by Lazio. He could prove vital around the defensive area today.
13'
It is back-to-back corners for Lazio now as they look to exert some decent box pressure but the second effort curves too much and spins into the side netting before it can reach anyone in the box.
11'
Muriqi comes close to latching onto a lob cross tipped into the penalty area, only for the ball to just skip away from his head. A corner emerges for the visitors.
9'
This has been a rather contentious opening act from both sides. Challenges are a little bit all over the shop so far. Someone could get injured if they're not careful.
7'
D. Kuzyaev gets yellow.
Now Zenit pick up a yellow card of their own after Kuzyaev drags his leg across the front of Akpa Akpro, trying to hook the ball away from the midfielder. It's possibly a soft call, but the referee wastes no time in brandishing the booking.
5'
Zenit heft their free-kick into the box, looking for a header, but Reina is fast to seize it and eliminate the danger.
4'
J. Akpa Akpro gets yellow.
Zenit exert further early pressure with a free-kick in line with the penalty area on the left flank after a foul from Patric on Zhirkov but the opportunity comes to nothing. There's been a bit of niggle so far between the two sides.
That niggle makes itself further known now with an early card as Akpa Akpro is booked for a late challenge. It's accidental, and Lazio's players crowd the referee, appealing the call.
2'
The early exchanges are lively in Saint Petersburg, with the hosts picking up a quick corner - swung straight to Reina by Santos - and the visitors then breaking down the opposite end.

We are underway in this Champions League clash in Group F between Zenit and Lazio!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the 2020-21 UEFA Champions League as winless Russian Premier League holders Zenit look to finally register some points in Group F against unbeaten Serie A outfit Lazio at Krestovsky Stadium.
Two weeks ago, Sergei Semak saw his side sunk by a late winner for Club Brugge, to heap further pressure on his position within the club according to some quarters - but a fortnight later, he is still here, after his side went down in valiant defeat to Borussia Dortmund. He could really do with a result on home soil though - and will hope that his side can do him proud this time out.
Simone Inzaghi on the other hand can rub his hands with glee after the start his side have enjoyed to the group stages. Their upset victory over Dortmund to kick off their campaign has helped put them in the early driving seat for the knockout stages - but last week's draw with Brugge has perhaps tempered their gait somewhat. Three more points away from home though would do nicely
The teams have emerged at Krestovsky Stadium for the Champions League anthem, which, all these years later, still sends a chill down the hairs on the back.
Sergei Semak will be happy with that half. Simone Inzaghi? Less so. Let's see what the second half holds in store for the two of them.
Simone Inzaghi will have some thoughts about that result. His side have taken a result from Russia that keeps them firmly in the hunt for the knockout stages, but he may have hoped for more. Sergei Semak meanwhile saw his side avoid another European defeat - but also concede another goal in the closing stages of a match to see them miss out on a better result.
With an international break looming, both sides have just one more domestic game before their players head out to play for their country. Lazio return to Italy now, to face Juventus; Zenit meanwhile will welcome Krasnodar. Until then, thank you for joining us - and have a good week!
