Slovakia defeated the Republic of Ireland in penalties in their last play-off qualifier to take one step closer to the Euros. They played out a goalless draw in the contest, but misses from Matt Doherty and Alan Browne allowed them to advance. Slovakia have reached the Euros only once in their history. However, they now have the opportunity to reach the tournament for the second time in a row with a win tonight. New manager Stefan Tarkovic is thrown in at the deep end to get Slovakia over the line.
Northern Ireland have battled in the first half, but have been sorely lacking in quality. Slovakia had one opening and were clinical to take their chance. Ian Baraclough's men need their players to fire in the final third in the second half otherwise they're staying home next summer.
An own goal from Milan Skriniar has kept Northern Ireland's hopes of reaching Euro 2020 alive. The defender turned Paddy McNair's cross into his own net, cancelling out Juraj Kucka's strike in the first half. We're heading to extra-time and potentially beyond to decide this one.
