League leaders Atletico take on Elche today, in a bid to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat against city rivals Real Madrid last weekend. Prior to this game they had been on an 11-game unbeaten streak in all competitions.
Meanwhile Elche are 14th, having not won in seven games and they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Granada last time out. However, prior to this loss, they had drawn four consecutive LaLiga matches.
