We're underway!
Hello! Welcome to our live text commentary of this La Liga match between Granada and Barcelona at Nuevo Estadio de Los Carmenes.
Barcelona are on the up. After a 3-2 away victory to Athletic Bilbao midweek, Barca have now won three consecutive away matches in the league for the first time under Ronald Koeman's leadership. Here they face Diego Martinez's Granada, who are on track to trouble the European places again this season.
Granada have had a bit of a wobble recently but have a strong record of late here at Los Carmenes, losing just one of their last nine games. Barca lost their last visit here 2-0 in September 2019. Can Martinez become the first coach to win his first two La Liga home matches against Barca since Fabio Capello? Let's find out!
GRANADA (4-2-3-1): Rui Silva; Dimitri Foulquier, German Sanchez (c), Domingos Duarte, Carlos Neva; Angel Montoro, Yan Eteki; Antonio Puertas, Yangel Herrera, Darwin Machis; Roberto Soldado.
SUBS: Alberto Soro, Luis Suarez, Luis Milla, Fede Vico, Arnau Fabrega, Jesus Vallejo, Nehuen Perez, Pepe Sanchez, Aaron Escandell, Jorge Molina, Kenedy, Ramon Azeez.
SUBS: Matheus Fernandes, Miralem Pjanic, Inaki Pena, Neto, Samuel Umtiti, Trincao, Martin Braithwaite, Junior Firpo, Riqui Puig, Ilaix Moriba, Konrad De la Fuente.
BARCELONA (4-3-3): Marc-Andre ter Stegen; Sergino Dest, Ronald Araujo, Oscar Mingueza, Jordi Alba; Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets, Pedri; Ousmane Dembele, Lionel Messi (c), Antoine Griezmann.
The two sides are out on the pitch here in Granada. There's a late change to Barca's line-up: Araujo felt discomfort in the warm-up so Umtiti steps in at centre-back.
Granada's chances of salvaging anything from this game look slim but they'd be right to feel a little hard done by. But for a deflection for Barca's first goal and a potential handball in the run-up to the second, they'd only be a goal behind. There was nothing they could do about Messi's free-kick. Can they pull a goal or two back in the second half?
Granada welcome easier opposition next in the form of Osasuna, while Barca's next trip is to similarly struggling Elche. If Barca keep this form up, they may haul themselves back into the title race yet. That's all for now. Goodbye!
