HALF-TIME: REAL MADRID 0-0 MILAN
45'
Tonali did not have the pace to keep up with Bale a little earlier but he does well to stop the run of Rodrygo down the Madrid left. Another corner for Ancelotti's men, which ultimately comes to little.
43'
Milan will wonder exactly how they are heading into half-time all square. Madrid have had plenty of chances to take the lead over the last 15 minutes, not least from that Bale penalty.
41'
Penalty saved by M. Maignan!
PENALTY SAVED! Having done so well to win the penalty, Bale steps up to take the spot-kick and is denied by Maignan. It was a poor attempt, in truth, with Bale's effort lacking any real pace and being easily kept out by Maignan to his right.
Bale will be kicking himself after missing from 12 yards. That was the perfect opportunity for the Welshman to build some confidence, but he could not get the better of Maignan.

38'
Rodrygo bursts past Calabria down the Madrid left far too easily. He looks up and tries to pick out a team-mate from the byline, but the cross is cut out by Tomori in the centre. Milan could do with half-time!
36'
There is some more nice interplay between Madrid's midfield and forward players, but an attempted throughball from Bale trickles all the way through.
35'
Madrid are completely dominating this game now – and even Bale looks right up for this friendly. The Welshman's shot from 20 yards bounces just wide of the target, though Maignan may well have had that covered down to his left.
33'
Bale tries to take the ball past Hernandez but the Madrid forward loses his footing and this latest Madrid attack comes to an end.
32'
SAVE! Alaba pulls the trigger from range and Maignan has to get down to push the ball to safety. It was not the cleanest of strikes and is one the new Milan keeper was always expected to save.
30'
Madrid have had 56 per cent of the ball in the opening half an hour of the contest. Despite those quickfire chances, it remains goalless in Austria.
26'
