Fornals gets the game underway for West Ham!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Premier League meeting between Manchester City and West Ham at the Etihad Stadium!
This is their second meeting this season after West Ham knocked City out of the EFL Cup on penalties in October. The visitors come into this game having lost just one of their last nine in all competitions (W6 D2), though that loss was in their last Premier League game when they were beaten 1-0 by Wolves. They bounced back to beat Rapid Vienna 2-0 in midweek to qualify for the Europa League knockout rounds. City have won their last four in all competitions and came from behind to beat Paris Saint-Germain to book their place in the Champions League last 16.
MANCHESTER CITY STARTING XI (4-3-3): Ederson; Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Aymeric Laporte, Joao Cancelo; Ilkay Gundogan, Rodrigo, Bernardo Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling.
MANCHESTER CITY SUBS: Fernandinho, Scott Carson, Nathan Ake, James McAtee, Cole Palmer, Zack Steffen, Oleksandr Zinchenko, John Stones.
WEST HAM STARTING XI (4-2-3-1): Lukasz Fabianski; Ben Johnson, Craig Dawson, Kurt Zouma, Aaron Cresswell; Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice; Pablo Fornals, Said Benhrahma, Arthur Masuaku; Michail Antonio.
WEST HAM SUBS: Alex Kral, Mark Noble, Manuel Lanzini, Andriy Yarmolenko, Jarrod Bowen, Issa Diop, Vladimir Coufal, Alphonse Areola, Nikola Vlasic.
The teams are out on the pitch, with kick-iff just moments away!
The hosts could easily be three or four goals up here and Guardiola will be pleased with their performance so far. West Ham did look dangerous when they managed to break on the counter, but their final product in the box let them down and they'll need to make a big improvement in the second half if they want something out of this game.
There's going to be a slight delay to the start of the second half as the grounds staff are still clearing the last of snow off the pitch, but the game should be back underway as soon as they've finished.
That's all for today, goodbye!
City are back up to second in the Premier League with that win and are level on points with Chelsea, who will be kicking off their game shortly. Next up for them is a trip to Aston Villa in midweek. West Ham have suffered back-to-back defeats in the league but stay fourth. They have Brighton and Hove Albion next.
