And that is definitively that! Juve win the derby!
90' +3
Quagliarella has clearly been sent on to run down the clock, he kicks Darmian on the halfway line and whacks the ball away from the scene of the crime.
The free kick is pumped into the box but to no avail. Chiellini gets his forehead to the ball, and Pogba punts clear. Time just about run out here for the hosts.
90' +2
F. Quagliarella enters the game and replaces C. Tevez.
Quagliarella will come on for Tevez in a substitution that smacks of timewasting.
90' +1
Into the first of three added minutes. Why oh why did Torino not go for broke sooner?
90'
Cerci stands over a dangerous Torino corner, but Pogba punts it away with his head. It's coming right back at Juve, but Buffon snatches up a poor through ball.
89'
Suddenly, Cerci controls the ball inside the area and turns on a dime for the shot. Bonucci blocks, but the fans have sensed a glimmer of hope and are roaring their team on for the finish!
88'
And they waste it. They just waste it. Torino try to play it short, cute and fancy, but mess it up big time.
87'
Tevez tries to get away with a cheeky clip on Cerci, but the referee, and the Torino striker are having none of it. A writhing reaction, and a Torino free kick.
86'
A. Farnerud enters the game and replaces G. Vives.
The tireless Vives is subbed off the the last block of time. Ventura going more offensive, but too little, too late I think.
85'
Tevez shanks a workable free kick into orbit to waste a solid opening for Juventus in the closing stages. But have no fear, Torino gift Juve the ball right back.
Minute
Description
83'
So what have we learned today? Juve's midfield is king, but they have a horrendously mediocre collection of forwards. Not all referees are biased, incompetent troglodytes. And Torino can't buy a win against their local rivals. So, nothing really.
82'
E. Moretti gets yellow.
81'
Immobile charges right into Chiellini, right in front of the touchline official. The fans are baying for blood, but correctly, the referee rules play on from the advice of his assistant.
79'
Vidal trying to apply the killer blow in tandem with Tevez, but they both ham it up, the Chilean with a lazy pass and Tevez with a lazy non-attempt to stay onside.
78'
M. Vučinić enters the game and replaces S. Giovinco.
Turns out I do have some foresight left, as the expected swap takes place.
77'
G. Vives gets yellow.
76'
The match continues to trickle at a glacial pace towards the final whistle, playing right into Juve's hands. By the way, Vucinic looks set for a run out, and if it's not Giovinco who is sacrificed, I will light myself on fire.
74'
S. Padoin enters the game and replaces K. Asamoah.
Padoin makes his bow and Asamoah makes way. Giovinco takes his busted radar out left, leaving Tevez to lead the line for the closing stages.
72'
At this point, it's difficult to see Torino salvaging anything from this game. Let's be honest, they have been absolutely woeful in this second half, but now they don't have a 0-0 scoreline to fall back on.
70'
Ventura at the fore of things again, yelling at the touchline official after the referee stops play in Juve's favor, with Pogba and Marchisio on the deck. The fans are howling, both sides are coming together. The end result? Drop ball. Bleh.
68'
R. Meggiorini enters the game and replaces O. El Kaddouri.
For some unknown reason, Giampiero Ventura has taken off his best attacking player Kaddouri and replaced him with Meggiorini.
66'
That MVP Bianconeri midfield really starting to assert themselves as time ticks on here, but they are let down by the woeful Giovinco up front. Not for a lack of trying by the way, but everything that the little forward has tried has virtually failed.
64'
What the hell has just gotten into the head of Marchisio?!?!? Moments after first-touching himself out of a goalscoring chance, he chases down his mistake and, on a yellow, dives two-footed into Vives. Somehow, to the absolute rage of the home fans, he avoids retribution.
63'
Juve taking a moment to slow the game down and let Torino do the chasing for a while.
61'
K. Asamoah gets yellow.
The Ghanaian makes a modicum of amends by getting first to the resulting delivery into the box.
60'
Asamoah with a laughable rookie challenge on Cerci, scissoring the forward to the ground and getting his name taken straight away.
58'
Now all Torino's fight and hustle comes to naught. They need to get things moving at the other end, because they've stunk up the joint in attack so far.
56'
The ever impartial instant replay goddess has just informed me that Tevez may have been an inch offside in the buildup to that goal! Hard to tell at such close quarters, so you can excuse the referee for not spotting, or making that call.
54'
P. Pogba has scored a goal for Juventus!
Juve upping the tempo through the ever energetic Asamoah, who manages to squeeze in a cross that Torino just about manage to clear for a corner...
...THAT POGBA CONVERTS ON THE REBOUND!
Scrappy, hobo goal from the champs, but they'll take it! It looked like a glorious chance wasted as Tevez smashed a two-yard header somehow off the bar, but Pogba kept his balance long enough to sweep home the loose ball!
52'
A delicious touch from Carlitos at the top of the box puts in Giovinco, who strikes it first time at goal, but Padelli is right on hand to parry! A disgusting finish from the former Parma man, he should have ripped the net up!
51'
Kaddouri has been Torino's best attacking player in the game so far, but even he can't pretend that his woeful crossfield ball to Darmian was anything but that.
49'
In contrast to the blood and thunder at the start of the game, this second half has had all the ferocity of a popped balloon. Torino content to stroke the ball around in their own half.
47'
Surprisingly no changes at the break by the way for Juve. Tevez and Giovinco have hardly gotten the pulses racing so far, but it's a murderer's row of mediocrity on the bench in Vucinic, Llorente and Quagliarella. Still, it would not be a bad thing to shake things up!
46'
S. Masiello enters the game and replaces G. Rodríguez.
Here we go again. Strap it in folks.
Out of nowhere, Tevez is first to a bouncing ball at the top of the box and flashes a venomous effort at goal, which whistles just over the bar!
45' +3
And after an uneventful added time period, the ref signals for the break.
45' +2
Not much happening in the added period, both sides have one eye on the break, surprisingly.
45'
Well I guess my foresight stinks, only two minutes to come. Tevez was down receiving treatment for nearly that amount of time on his own.
44'
Probably a decent enough chunk of stoppage time coming up as Juve pump the ball into the box to try to break the resolve of their opponents.
43'
Moretti pumps one forward from defence, but Cerci was lazy both in his attempt to get back onside, and in his endeavors to chase down the ball, which was not the worst in the world. Buffon sweeps.
41'
Rodriguez narrowly avoids becoming the fourth name in the referee's notebook as he scythes right through the back of Giovinco in a failed attempt to win the ball. That should have been a yellow if the referee was consistent. But only a crumb of criticism for our match official who has been otherwise spot on.
40'
Lichtsteiner shanks a shot badly, but all that does is allow Asamoah to show off his supreme natural athleticism to hook the ball back into play right before it crosses the byeline. Excellent! Too bad it resulted in nothing for the Old Lady.
38'
Tevez is back on his feet, but moving very gingerly. And guess what? Juve waste that set piece by playing it short and soon passing into oblivion near the halfway line.
37'
Immobile rakes his cleats right down the calf of Tevez, whose personalized shim pads do nothing to protect him from the pain. A deserved yellow for the Torino forward, and Carlitos needs some patching up.
36'
C. Immobile gets yellow.
35'
I'd love to know what Glik does to pump himself up for derby games, but clearly it's affected his rationale. He goes for goal from all of 45 yards, and does nothing but make the mildly irritated Buffon work to fetch the ball for a goal kick.
33'
Vidal breaks into space on the right, puts a cross right onto the head of Tevez on the six yard box but wait a minute! Back sprints Rodriguez to head the ball away from danger with an excellent last-ditch leap.
31'
Giovinco immediately pulled up by the referee for clipping Moretti. And to the delight of the trolling home fans, he shows his frustration, probably more as a result of his anonymity so far.
29'
Il Toro are now looking the better side, digging their heels in defence, and starting to string together some passes and presence in the opposition half. Make no mistake, this is a captivating, brilliantly contested game.
27'
Juve finding no joy centrally, so shift things wide through Asamoah to squeeze out an opening. But despite huffing and puffing against Darmian on the left flank, he can manage no more than a tame cross which Padelli gobbles up.
26'
Cerci takes responsibility for the dead ball and goes within inches, inches of finding the top corner! Buffon was probably more relieved than he let on!
25'
P. Pogba gets yellow.
Pogba is another one who tries to throw his weight about, but all he succeeds in doing is clattering into poor El Kaddouri. The referee applies the proverbial kiss to his boo-boo with a Torino free-kick and a yellow card for the Man Utd youth product.
23'
Plus, the defending from Torino has improved immeasurably. Juve play hot potato at the top of the box but the hosts scream defiance, and repel their advances.
21'
Credit to Vives, who has shaken off his early nerves and is now bossing the midfield a little for the hosts, barking orders at his teammates and not backing down one inch.
19'
C. Marchisio gets yellow.
Marchisio thought he was being slick by plowing right into El Kaddouri, who looked to break down the centre on goal. Does he not know that the referee was standing inches away and that the fans will amplify any perceived infraction tenfold? Yellow card for the midfielder.
18'
Don't sleep on Torino from these set pieces. by the way. Buffon has had a rough week or so in goal for the Italian champs, and although you would expect a pro like him to swallow this hostile atmosphere like breakfast, Torino would do well to get the ball into the mixer on every free-kick.
16'
The game exploding into a brilliantly ferocious tempo, capturing all the tenacity and venom of the Turin derby, with quality football slowly starting to creep in as both sides compose themselves.
14'
Right back at the other end goes Giovinco, bobbing and weaving through traffic on the left flank. Like a worm avoiding the hook, he wriggles into an inch of space and squares to Tevez for the tap in, but back is D'Ambrosio, who hacks it away just in time!
12'
D'Ambrosio comes within inches, inches, of converting from a set-piece and making Juve think twice before getting too cocky.
10'
Much like a comedian on amateur night who sees a stale joke go over surprisingly well, Torino have seen themselves stumble into a bit of confidence, and are at least starting to look like a competent Serie A side.
8'
Dangerous free kick gifted to the Bianconeri, Kaddouri goes in high on Tevez. Nothing in my book, but in lieu of shooting, they work it short down the right to Lichtsteiner, who can't get a good ball in.
6'
Torino finally come out of their shell, but the pressure they try to put on their rivals is rank amateurish, and Bonucci mops up with impunity.
4'
Vives, perhaps in retaliation for his earlier humiliation, leaves a nice imprint of his studs in the back of Vidal's leg. Trypophobia anyone? Torino escape retribution from the referee, no free kick.
3'
Some real fight shown by the Old Lady to start things off. They're first to every ball, beating Torino at every turn, as Asamoah slides in to nick the rock off Vives.
2'
Wasted, utterly wasted by the visitors.
1'
Bang. Torino get the ball rolling folks.
The stadium holds its breath for one split second, as that man Chiellini takes an early pop in Padelli's direction, but it's deflected away by Bovo! Corner to come.
Good morning ladies and gentlemen and welcome to our live coverage of the Turin derby which sees Juventus take on Torino in Serie A.
The Bianconeri have not suffered defeat to their local rivals since 1995 but Giampiero Ventura's in-form side are able to boast the league's joint-top scorer in Alessio Cerci, who has five goals in Serie A already this season.
Antonio Conte's side currently sit in fourth place, having dropped points just once this season, while city rivals Torino find themselves in eighth having lost once.
Without further ado, let's have a quick peek at the two side's starting XIs...
Big, big opportunity for the Bianconeri today in their former stomping ground, the Stadio Olimpico. Clinch three points, and they will move level on points with high flying Napoli at the top of Serie A. But lose, and Fiorentina could potentially bump them into 5th spot.
The fans inside the ground, rocking long before kickoff, are whipped into a real frenzy as both teams emerge from the tunnel. Derby fever is in the air folks!
Kickoff is just around the corner, so stick with me, Keeghann Sinanan, for all the action.
A closely fought Turin derby that nevertheless has been short on real goalmouth action. For all their tenacity, both sides have really struggled to fashion much in the way of chances. I've still enjoyed matters so far though, a good derby scrap is always good fun to liven up a Sunday. The second half is finely poised, to stay with me for the restart in just a bit.
Torino's 18-year wait for a win over their more famous rivals will stretch on. A somewhat controversial goal from Paul Pogba in the second half was the difference here, in a match that was more efficient than exhibition, with a dearth of real chances. Juve go joint-top with the points, and Torino stay mid table.
