64'
Jesus Gamez goes on a rare run forward down the right and looks to pick out Samuel with a slid pass in behind the Madrid defence. However, Diego Lopez is off his line quickly to come out, claim, and redistribute.
62'
Malaga look to counterattack and the ball comes to Samuel just outside the centre circle. He doesn't have much in terms of support but does well to earn a free kick out of Morata. That'll take the pressure off his side for a spell.
60'
The visitors are still holding a threat on the counterattack, however. The pace of Eliseu and El Hamdaoui are still causing Madrid slight problems, but Diego Lopez hasn't had a save to make so far.
58'
Malaga's excellent offside trap succeeds again as Ronaldo gets to the byline and smashes a ball into the area which is bundled home. However, the linesman had his flag up again. The amount of offsides for Madrid so far has been outrageous.

Madrid just popping the ball around nicely at the moment. El Hamdaoui and Samuel are putting in plenty of effort up top, but there's no real quality in their play in the final third.

A disappointing corner from Madrid floats into the hands of Caballero, taking the pressure off the visitors.

Speculative effort from Ronaldo this time. The Portuguese collects possession 30 yards from goal and unleashes a trademark dipping strike, but Caballero gets down to make the comfortable save in the middle of goal.

Saaaaaaave by Caballero! The Argentine atones for his slight error for the Madrid opener by diving across his area to palm away Isco's shot, which looked destined to find the bottom left corner.
49'
Eliseu gets yellow.
48'
A superb start to the second period for Madrid. A change of game plan is needed for Malaga now, it wont be enough to be solid defensively. A bit more attacking ambition required.

34'
ANOTHER excellent save by Caballero! Morata gets on the end of a cross inside the box but his attempt his denied by the Argentine, who jumps out like a starfish to make a solid block!
32'
It's been all Madrid in the opening 30 minutes here folks. Caballero is having a superb game so far and he is the reason the hosts aren't one or two goals up. Can Malaga continue to weather the storm?
30'
Caballero denies Ronaldo again! The former Man Utd man latches on to a pass through the middle and lashes a strike towards the bottom left corner, but once again is is foiled but the Malaga 'keeper, who makes a strong save with his right arm.
28'
Ronaldo breaks away on the left and bursts into the area. He goes down under the challenges of Jesus Gamez and Sergio Sanchez, but there wasn't a lot in it. The Portuguese half-heartedly asks for a penalty, but the ref waves play on.

22'
Great save from Caballero. Morata picks up the ball on the left and looks to whip a strike whip pace towards the far top corner, but the goalkeeper dives across and comfortably claims the attempt out of the air.
20'
GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLL FOR REAL MADRID!! WAIT! NO! OFFSIDE! A cross is curled into the edge of the six-yard box and Morata bullets a header into the corner, but the linesman had his flag up! Correct decision from the official.
18'
Morataaaaa!!! Again Madrid should score! Di Maria receives the ball deep down the right flank and cuts back before whipping a cross into the box for the 20-year-old, who's header goes straight down the throat of Caballero! Either side and that was in!
16'
Madrid have looked pretty comfortable so far. Bar Portillo's early strike, Malaga have barely caused a threat in the final third.
14'
RONALDO SHOULD SCORE!! Madrid counterattack at pace and Di Maria frees the Portuguese down the inside-left channel, but his eventual shot is dragged wide of the post! He usually buries them!
13'
Di Mariaaaa! Great save from Caballero! Ronaldo gives up free kick duties to the Argentine who swings the set-piece towards the corner, but the Malaga 'keeper got across goal to punch the ball out for a corner kick.
12'
Antunes gets yellow.
11'
Free kick to Madrid in Ronaldo territory after Antunes cynically brings down Khedira on the edge and earns himself the first yellow card of the match.
9'
El Hamdaoui breaks out of midfield and looks to exchange a lovely one-two with Samuel down the right wing but Marcelo makes a superb recovery to win the back for Madrid.

4'
A real opportunity for Madrid here as Carvajal is fouled by Camacho. Free kick to the hosts down the right-hand side.
3'
Portillooooo!!! Unlucky! The Malaga man bursts forward and finds some space on the edge of the area before stabbing a shot towards the bottom corner. Diego Lopez gets down to make the save though.
2'
We get a shot of Schuster on the bench and the German is sporting a rather fetching sweater-vest in the dugout! Fashion week in Madrid it seems!

We are under way in Santiago Bernabeu!
Good afternoon folks! Welcome to LIVE coverage of the Spanish Primera Division clash between Real Madrid and Malaga from Santiago Bernabeu!
I'm Martin Macdonald, and it's my pleasure to take you through the action today.
TEAM NEWS.
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Diego Lopez; Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Illarramendi, Khedira; Isco, Di Maria, Ronaldo, Morata.
So we have the rare opportunity to see Los Blancos play in the daylight today folks, but will Ancelotti's men shine as Bernd Schuster makes his return to Santiago Berbabeu?
A couple of interesting team selections from the former AC Milan coach...
Gareth Bale only makes the bench for Real Madrid as he looks to recover from a back injury, so Angel Di Maria keeps his place on the attacking-right position.
The highest profile inclusion is that of Alvaro Morata, who replaces Karim Benzema up top. The 20-year-old has emerged as a fan favourite, and the Santiago Bernabeu faithful have been campaigning for him to get a start all season.
He gets his chance today; will he impress?
Malaga have gone through a mini-revolution in the summer, with many high-profile names leaving La Rosaleda. However, they still hold an impressive spine, with Willy, Weligton, Camacho, and El Hamdaoui all surely vital to any success here.
Los Boquerones didn't have the best of times on their last visit to Los Blancos, as they succumbed to a heavy 6-2 defeat. Raul Albiol, Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric, Angel Di Maria, and Mesut Ozil were all on the scoresheet that day.
It may not be particularly surprising to see Karim Benzema dropped today, but the Frenchman does not even feature on the bench for Los Blancos.
We just approaching kick-off now but there's been a slight delay as the Real Madrid basketball team come on brandishing a rather tremendous trophy. Not long now for the football to start though!
Half time in Santiago Bernabeu. Malaga have frustrated Real Madrid so far as we enter the break at 0-0. Willy Caballero has certainly been on form tonight as he's pulled off a string of saves against Ronaldo, Di Maria, and Morata. Bernd Schuster's men did look dangerous in the latter stages on the first half though, so a promising second 45 minutes is in store!
FULL TIME IN MADRID.
Willy Caballero put in a goalkeeping performance of the highest order but still finds himself on the losing side as a goal from Angel Di Maria and a penalty from Cristiano Ronaldo seal a vital three points for Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos were frustrated by the visitors for the majority of the match, but it was eventually a comfortable win for Ancelotti's men. A commendable performance from Malaga, but they leave empty handed! I'm Martin Macdonald, thank you for joining us, see you next time!
