Tempers flare right at the death as Borriello takes a big swipe out of the back of a Madrid player. The referee sorts it out and Diego Lopez comes up for this last free kick. No need though as it doesn't go past the first man, leading to the final whistle!
90' +4
Not a whole lot happening in the added period. Everyone looks pretty much resigned to the current scoreline. Given Roma's second half improvement, it would be hard to deny them their impending victory.
90' +2
Security have swept the last remnants of fans under the rug and we can get back underway. FIVE minutes of time added to close out this one, almost all of that due to the recently concluded pitch invasion.
90'
The managers are taking no risks with their players. They're leading them off to the sidelines for a water break. The remaining fans in the stands certainly look to be enjoying the invaders but the referee might just call the rest of this game off!
88'
It's actually raining fans here in the Cotton Bowl. Normally the cameras don't like to give pitch invaders any sort of attention, but this is a free for all! Security are overwhelmed and outnumbered!
86'
Some glum faces on the Madrid bench as a rowdy group of fans invade the dugout. Security are quickly across to apprehend the culprits. Not a pretty sight.
84'
Roma have a half-chance to wrap it all up. De Rossi intelligently lays the ball off to match the run of Sanabria, but his shot lacks the requisite oomph and is gobbled up by the keeper.
82'
Still a one goal lead for the Italian side via their captain Totti. As it stands, Madrid will be mathematically eliminated from advancing to the final of the International Champions Cup. Eight minutes and change to find the two goals that keep them alive.
80'
Carvajal looks like he will tough it out for the final stretch, as the game can resume. Not before more subs though! Nainggolan, Florenzi and Iturbe have been hauled off. Ucan, Sanabria and Somma on.
Sanabria is a new boy at the Stadio Olimpico, having just joined from Sassuolo for a modest fee. At only 18 years of age, his career is still ahead of him, and if scouting reports are anything to go by, he could be quite a hit in the Italian capital in the future.
76'
Some worry here for Madrid as Carvajal is down in some pain. He went in hard on a challenge on Iturbe but came off worse for wear, failing to stick the landing and banging his knee. The physios are summoned as Ancelotti watches on with concern.

Description
74'
Ancelotti uses the opportunity to make some more subs. Bale and Modric are both done for the night. On come Mascarell and Sobrino for the final stretch of this match.
72'
Roma look quite happy to ride this 1-0 scoreline all the way to the final whistle. Madrid are dominating the ball - and have been since conceding. However, they're having no luck opening up any gaps.
70'
Arbeloa does well to keep a speculative ball in play before his endeavour is chalked off by the linesman's flag. Offside. That gives Roma the opportunity to make another sub, and fans are up all over the Cotton Bowl applauding as Totti bows out for Borriello.
68'
The substitutions, as usual, have meant that this game has had to get running from neutral all over again. Fatigue is starting to creep in for those players who have been on since the first whistle. Hardly a time or a place for them to over exert themselves or risk injury, truth be told.
66'
Subs in the offing. De Rossi jogs on for Pjanic, while Alvaro Medran steps into the fray to relieve Xabi Alonso. Diego Llorente has also replaced Sergio Ramos.
64'
Anticlimatic. Benatia manages to get his head to the delivery before anyone else. That was a great chance wasted - but another sterling defensive play from Benatia, who has hardly put a foot wrong this evening.
62'
Very dangerous free kick to Madrid here right on the edge of the box. It's a little too angled to have a direct strike on goal, but Isco certainly has designs on getting this one whipped right into the mixer. The big boys are in position...
60'
NEARLY A SECOND! Pjanic weaves in and out of traffic on the right side of the box, before squaring a low ball right into the path of Ljajic. The goal was gaping, but the one-time Manchester United target misses the mark from a glorious position!
58'
F. Totti has scored a goal for Roma!
What a special strike! Roma orchestrated that beautifully. Keita spreads it wide to Florenzi, who whips in a glorious cross into the box that Totti can't help but slide home! That move was aided by a sexy dummy from Pjanic to keep the Madrid defence guessing.
57'
TOTTI HAS OPENED THE SCORING!
55'
Madrid are starting to hop back into the driver's seat here. At least for a moment. Their smooth possession game has sprung back to life in fits and starts. Roma are looking more comfortable dealing with it though!
53'
This game has taken a left turn down monotony lane. It's as good a time as any to confirm the Real Madrid changes from the break. Alvaro Abeloa, Nacho and De Tomas have replaced Coentrao, Pepe and Lucas. No sign yet of any changes for Roma.
51'
I'd not like to pick a winner at this stage. Both sides need to take all three points from this fixture to have any hope of advancing from Group A, with Manchester United far in the lead. It may be only pre season, but no one likes to get eliminated. It sets bad habits.
49'
Roma are looking more confident on the ball in this second half. They're moving the ball across the pitch with more purpose. There's certainly the talent on hand to cause Madrid problems.
47'
Early glimpse at a chance for the Spanish side. Isco cuts in from the flanks and has the gap to shoot on goal, but Skorupski reads it all the way and doesn't have to spring too far to make the save. Good early show of intent from Madrid though, picking up where they left off.
46'
Here we go again!
45' +1
That's all she wrote for this half!
45'
More Internet trouble at the Cotton Bowl, so please accept my apologies. Sergio Ramos picks out a Totti pass
More Internet trouble at the Cotton Bowl, so please accept my apologies. Sergio Ramos picks out a Totti pass
37'
Left-footed effort from Adem Ljajic goes wide. Nice moves from him to get free, but couldn't do much with it.
35'
Back underway here and Asier Illarramendi draws a foul. Modric can't connect the final ball on the resulting effort, though.
33'
Still scoreless here in the Cotton Bowl. The crowd is very much in favor of Real Madrid.
32'
Nainggolan attempts to switch the field, but it's too heavy. The Dallas crowd begins doing the wave as the players break for drinks.
29'
Radja Nainggolan pulling the strings as Roma ventures into the other half for the first time in several minutes. Roma keeps possession but is unable to make any real forays.
28'
Roma's Leandro Castan snuffs out a promising Madrid attack preventing Lucas Vazquez from getting a look at goal.
24'
Still no goals here. Gareth Bale's 18th minute foray from the left side was probably the best chance. He and Modric have been combining well there.
22'
A belated hello from the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas where Real Madrid is looking bright both in kit and in play. Los Blancos are actually outfitted in pink this evening and have been taking the match to Roma.
It's halftime. Madrid enjoyed the better half but couldn't find a goal. Mehdi Benatia stays down to get medcal attention, but he's now walking off the field without difficulty.
Real Madrid will not believe that they've allowed Roma to go into the interval scoreless. They've dominated almost every aspect of this game, creating chances but failing to convert.
Roma have rode their luck, there's no question. They've only managed to string together a few half decent sequences in the opposition half. Madrid simply look a cut above. But Roma have avoided conceding, so they're still very much in this.
Roma survived a first half onslaught to clinch the win thanks to Totti's second half strike. He was hardly the most impressive performer, as Nainggolan and Benatia also made an impact.
Madrid dominated for long spells but lacked any sort of clinical touch. Not a surprise with Ancelotti opting against starting with a recognised striker. Bale was their most dangerous outlet, but even he couldn't get it done.
Real Madrid are now eliminated from progression from Group A, while Roma move into second, still holding hopes of making the final. That's about my cue, so from me, Keeghann Sinanan, it's bye for now.
