And we're off! France get us underway, kicking from right-to-left.
Good evening and welcome to our live text commentary of today's clash between Serbia and France. My name is Ben Cullimore and I will be keeping you up-to-date with all of the action from Stadion Partizana.
France, the hosts of the next European Championship in 2016, face Serbia in tonight's friendly on the back of an impressive 1-0 win against Spain, which they picked up against the Euro 2012 champions in Paris on Thursday, thanks to a second-half goal from newly-signed Chelsea striker Loic Remy. The victory was the first time Les Bleus had beaten Spain in eight years, and, coupled with an equally impressive World Cup campaign, Didier Deschamps has been eager to admit that his side are growing in confidence.
As for tonight's hosts, they face France under the control of new boss Dick Advocaat for the first time. The Dutch coach took control of Serbia in July, and this evening's friendly will give him the perfect opportunity to test out the plethora of top-level quality at his disposal ahead of next month's European Championship qualifiers against Armenia and Albania.
There's just over 10 minutes left to go until kick-off, so let's have a look at how the two teams will be lining up tonight…
Serbia XI (4-3-3): Stojkovic; Ivanovic, Nastasic, Mitrovic, Kolarov; Gudelj, Matic, Tadic; Tosic, Markovic, Djordjevic.
The two teams are making their way out onto the pitch ahead of kick-off. Stadion Partizana is sparsely populated but the fans that are here are certainly in high spirits.
HALF-TIME: SERBIA 0-1 FRANCE
France arguably started the brighter of the two sides and were rewarded with an important, and well-worked, goal after just 13 minutes, but since then Serbia have looked incredibly impressive when attacking. However, they still can't find a way past a strong back four that continue to frustrate the hosts' abundance of attacking talent.
The two teams are making their way back onto the pitch ahead of the start of the second half. Neither side have made any changes during the break.
FULL-TIME: SERBIA 1-1 FRANCE
Both sides were impressive throughout, with a plethora of attacking talent on display at both ends of the pitch, but Serbia were arguably the better of the two teams. France defended stoically but were finally beaten by a world-class shot by Kolarov late on, and, in hindsight, the visitors will probably be pleased that they were able to come away from Belgrade with a draw under their belts after being made to work so hard for it.
My name's Ben Cullimore and it's been an absolute pleasure describing all of the action to you tonight. Until next time, goodbye!
