There is the final whistle! Madrid escape with the victory!
90' +2
WHAT A CHANCE! Misidjan drills it low into the box and it bobbles through to Dyakov at the back post. He sends it back into the centre where it is hooked away by Marcelo! That was their chance to equalise!
Madrid break down the other end and Bale's deflected shot looks like looping over the head of Stoyanov, but the keeper acrobatically claws it behind for a corner kick!
90' +1
We are into the first of three additional minutes. Will there be late drama in Sofia?
Misidjan attempts to whip a cross in from the left and it hits the arm of Arbeloa! The right-back was outside the box, though, so the Eagles are awarded a free kick. Still in a dangerous area, though!
90'
Minev looks to beat Illarramendi and get to the byline but the Madrid man gets between him and the ball and shepherds it out for a goal kick. Ronaldo, meanwhile, hobbles back onto the pitch.
88'
Abel goes in late on Ronaldo with a tackle from behind and it earns him a yellow card. The Portuguese hobbles off the pitch to receive some treatment, and he looks in some pain. The visitors are momentarily down to 10 men!
87'
Anicet gets yellow.
86'
Misidjan makes a late run into the box on the left to pick up a deep cross and is flagged offside. The Dutchman was in no way in an illegal position, but the only suggestion can be that the decision was given against Bezjak in the middle.
85'
Time is running out for the Eagles, here! Will they be able to find a late equaliser like they did at Anfield on matchday one?
83'
PENALTY CLAIM! Misidjan breaks into the box and bursts past Illarramendi as the midfielder makes a hash of clearing the penalty. The substitute is tugged by the Madrid man but flings himself to ground in an exaggerated manner. He wants a penalty, but the referee only offers a corner.
82'
V. Misidjan enters the game and replaces M. Aleksandrov.
Anicet enters the game and replaces Fábio Espinho.

Description
81'
That should have been the third! Marcelo releases Benzema towards the byline and the Frenchman checks back inside, gets his head up, and tees up Kroos. You would expect the former Bayern Munich man to drill it into the back of the net, but he skies it over the crossbar!
79'
Well, what will the hosts' approach be for the final 10 minutes? Will they throw men forward in search for an equaliser, or will they maintain their plan of absorbing pressure and threating on the break? They do not have long to try and salvage a point!
77'
K. Benzema has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by Marcelo.
GOOOOOOOOOAAL!! MADRID FINALLY LEAD! Marcelo delivers a brilliant cross from the left and a slip from Aleksandar Aleksandrov enables Benzema to divert the ball into the back of the net! He claims there was a foul, but there was no contact! The champions are finally in front.
76'
J. Rodríguez enters the game and replaces Isco.
75'
Bale uses his pace and strength to race between a pair of defenders on the right and work his way into the area. He quickly comes up against another duo of green shirts and fails to beat them as Espinho is happy to concede a corner by knocking the ball out of play.
73'
T. Kroos enters the game and replaces L. Modrić.
Sergio Ramos gets yellow.
Ramos goes into the book following a poor challenge on Wanderson. The Madrid man has certainly made some troubling decisions this evening.
72'
Ludogorets’ first meeting with Spanish opposition came earlier this year as they were defeated 3-0 at home by Valencia in the Europa League. If the score stays the same this would certainly be a marked improvement.
70'
Wanderson enters the game and replaces Marcelinho.
Ludogorets' hero Marcelinho comes off for the hosts and is replaced by his compatriot Wanderson. He receives a rapturous ovation from the home crowd on his exit.
68'
OFF THE LINE!! Great defending from Aleksandar Aleksandrov! Ronaldo is picked out at the far post and gets a shot past Stoyanov, but the centre-back gets back to cover his goalkeeper and make a goal-line clearance!
67'
K. Benzema enters the game and replaces J. Hernández.
Hernandez's night comes to a premature end as he is replaced by Benzema. The Mexican will be wondering how he failed to find the net tonight.
66'
WHAT A SAVE FROM CASILLAS! Abalo supplies Marcelinho 20 yards out following another quick break and the Brazilian shapes to shoot. He bends a brilliant shot towards the corner of the net but Casillas launches himself to his right and parries it behind for a corner!
64'
Bezjak looks to worm his way between Arbeloa and Ramos and break into the box from the left flank. He goes to ground and the crowd want a free kick, but the referee again allows play to continue. It was a theatrical fall from the striker, which probably contributed to his decision.
63'
Marcelo clips a ball over the top of the full-back but Ronaldo is not on the same wavelength and holds his run, meaning the ball bounces aimlessly towards the byline.
62'
Fábio Espinho gets yellow.
61'
In the other Group B game being played simultaneously, Basel have taken a 1-0 lead at home against Liverpool.
59'
Illarramendi sees his pass intercepted and Ludogorets break. Marcelinho feeds Bezjak at the top of the box and the striker is caught as he fails to get the ball out from under his feet. He wants a free kick, but the referee is unmoved.
57'
HOW HAS IT STAYED OUT! A counterattack from Madrid ends with Isco squaring the ball across the face of goal for Hernandez at the back post. The Mexico international slides to get a foot on it but fails to direct it on goal and contrives to send it straight back out! What a miss!
56'
Dani Ábalo gets yellow.
55'
WHAT A STRIKE! Espinho lashes a searing 30-yard strike at goal which looks to be heading for the top corner. Casillas has to leap up to his right in order to get a hand to the ball and stop it sailing into the back of the net!
54'
Ludogorets don't look ready to let this result slip, but they will need to improve defensively as they are affording the visitors too many chances. They can't rely on the likes of Ronaldo, Bale and Hernandez missing chances when they come their way all evening.
52'
GREAT SAVE! Isco's delivery is met by the head of Bale and the Welshman glances the ball on target. Stoyanov dives down to his right and gets a strong hand to the effort, batting it away from danger.
51'
Isco picks out Marcelo on the left and as the Brazilian turns he is caught by a late challenge from behind by Mihail Aleksandrov. Madrid now have a free kick in a great area.
49'
Ludogorets win a free kick 25 yards from goal and it is taken quickly as Bezjak makes a great run into space. He is watched by Varane, though, and the France international comes across to make a hugely important challenge!
47'
Across the face of goal! Ronaldo is picked out by Bale and, after his initial effort is blocked, he surges to the byline. He lets fly with a left-footed shot that flashes across the face of goal but there is no one to get on the end of it with a simple tap in!
46'
We are back underway in Sofia!
45' +1
There is the half-time whistle!
45'
Bezjak has the ball in the net but once more it is ruled out due to an offside decision! This one looks correct, though, as Arbeloa steps up to ensure the Ludogorets striker is the furthest man forward.
44'
Bale drills the ball to the near post with the outside of his left boot, looking for Ronaldo, and the Portuguese's attempt to flick it on target is blocked by a green shirt!
43'
RAMOS! WHAT A MISS! The centre-back connects with a free header inside the box and makes a real mess of it, failing to hit the target. It looks like he jumped too early and caught the ball as he was coming down, therefore struggling to direct it on target.
42'
SO, SO CLOSE! Isco pulls the ball back for Hernandez and the Mexican sweeps a shot across goal. It looks to be heading in but bends agonisingly wide of the post with Stoyanov beaten!
40'
Marcelo bends in another cross from the left but Hernandez leaves it too late to make his run and no one gets on the end of it. A waste of a decent delivery there!
39'
Bale makes a clever run to get in behind the defence and as he nudges his marker to create some extra room he allows the ball to get further away from him. He manages to keep it from going out but Aleksandar Aleksandrov clears it for a throw in.
37'
Ronaldo gets on the ball 35 yards from goal and is barged off the ball by Bezjak. The referee sees nothing wrong with the challenge and play continues while the stadium erupts with boos for the Portuguese.
36'
Marcelinho wins the hosts a corner on the right and it is cleared only as far as Abalo 20 yards from goal. He attempts to lash a shot at the target which is blocked by one of his team-mates!
34'
SO CLOSE! Hernandez does brilliantly to dart into space on the right and whip the ball across the face of goal. Ronaldo makes a run to the near post but fails to connect with a header, and the Ludogorets players want him booked for attempting to use his hand! There was nothing in it, though.
32'
Straight at Stoyanov! Marcelo finally contributes something positive as he pushes up on the left and dinks a good cross into the box. Hernandez generates plenty of power on the subsequent header but aims it right in front of the keeper, who holds it confidently.
31'
CASILLAS SAVES! Another Ludogorets counterattack has Madrid worried, and Marcelo leaves space in the wide area which Mihail Aleksandrov gets into. He tries to pick out the far corner with a right-footed effort and although he doesn't connect cleanly, Casillas is unable to hold onto it and can only parry it back into the centre of the box where it is cleared from.
29'
Ronaldo races to the byline and cuts a cross back into the centre, looking for Hernandez. He fails to find his team-mate, though, and the hosts clear the danger once more. They are getting plenty of numbers back to defend so they will surely tire if they continue to attack with such pace.
27'
Madrid instantly look to add a second but Ludogorets do well to cope with a wave of pressure, which ultimately comes to an end when Moti heads away Bale's cross. The hosts look to counter and hold onto the ball well, but are unable to work an opening.
25'
Penalty goal scored by Cristiano Ronaldo for Real Madrid!
GOOOOOOAAL! Ronaldo goes the same way but this time puts it out of the reach of Stoyanov and nestles it into the bottom corner! His 69th Champions League goal!
24'
S. Dyakov gets yellow.
PENALTY TO MADRID! Ronaldo turns Moti brilliantly and is caught by the centre-back! The referee points to the spot and books the Ludogorets man.
23'
Madrid break and Hernandez searches out Ronaldo with a pass into the middle from the right wing. The Portuguese goes down under a challenge from Aleksandar Aleksandrov, but nothing is given! Ronaldo quickly gets back to his feet to let him know what he thought of that, though!
22'
Ludogorets win a corner on the left and Espinho sends it to the near post again, and Bale heads it behind for another corner. This time the Portuguese flights it to the back post, where Moti meets it and loops his header over the bar.
21'
Marcelo has made a number of errant passes so far this evening, and another here gifts the hosts a throw in. He was trying to lay it off to Isco, there, and made a real hash of it. Madrid look rattled!
19'
Ludogorets do well to win the ball on the right near the halfway line and Bezjak races forward and looks to catch the visitors on the break. However, he makes a bad choice of pass and Madrid are able to come away with the ball, but an equally poor pass from them sees it fly straight out of play.
17'
Bale has the ball in the back of the net for Madrid again but the whistle had gone long before he chipped it in. It is greeted by a chorus of boos from the stands and the Welshman gets away without a booking.
16'
Ludogorets have won only nine of their 19 games in all competitions this campaign, but they are currently beating the Champions League holders!
14'
GOOOOOAL... no, it is ruled out! Ronaldo is played in on the left side of the box and curls a lovely shot into the far corner, but the assistant referee has his flagged raised for offside. I have to say, it looks like it was the incorrect decision! The Portuguese didn't complain too much, mind.
13'
What a start we have had in Sofia! Ludogorets' record goalscorer has given them the lead and red-hot Ronaldo was unable to score a penalty! The Bulgarian side are enjoying a fantasty start to this game, but will they be able to maintain it for the full 90?
11'
Penalty saved by V. Stoyanov!
SAVED!! RONALDO CAN'T CONVERT! The Portuguese fires the spot-kick low to the keeper's right but he gets down and parries it away from the danger area. Ludogorets retain their lead!
10'
Y. Minev gets yellow.
PENALTY TO MADRID! Modric's pass is deflected into the centre of the box and Hernandez latches onto it. He runs across Minev, is brought to ground, and the referee points to the spot!
8'
JUST WIDE! Ronaldo tees up Bale on the left side of the box with a delightful flick and the Welshman rifles an effort towards the far post. It is always bending away from goal and Hernandez is unable to divert it into the back of the net as he follows it in.
6'
Marcelinho has scored a goal for Ludogorets! Assist by C. Moți.
Just wide! Another sloppy piece of play ends with Marcelinho's shot from the top of the box being deflected wide by a last-ditch challenge from Modric. The hosts have a corner.
GOOOOOOOAAL!! LUDOGORETS LEAD! The corner from the near side is flicked on by Moti and Marcelinho heads it home from close range at the back post! What a start from the Bulgarians! Unbelievable stuff!
5'
Ramos gives the ball away in his own half cheaply but Marcelinho is unable to pick out a team-mate with his quick attempted pass. Isco then launches it down the other end but Ronaldo commits a foul as he attempts to fashion some room to bring it down.
4'
A great pass from Espinho is headed the way of Marcelinho as the Brazilian runs down the channel and into the box. He jumps up and sticks a leg out to try and bring it down but it is too far ahead of him and it runs out for a goal kick. The attempt is warmly received by the home fans, though.
2'
Madrid settle onto the ball quickly and pass it comfortably around the back. Ramos moves into the opposite half and is felled by Bezjak, so the referee awards the visitors a free kick. Ludogorets already look like they will attempt to play on the break.
1'
We are underway in Sofia! Ludogrets in their all-green home kit while Madrid adopt an all-black uniform.
Hello and welcome to tonight's live coverage of the Champions League Group B encounter between tournament debutants Ludogorets and title holders Real Madrid. This is the Bulgarian side's first home game in the competition but it will be played at the Vasil Levski National Stadium, 400 kilometres away from their home town of Razgrad as their ground does not meet UEFA requirements. How will they fare against the rampant Spaniards? My name is Tom Webber, and I will be guiding you through all the action as we find that out!
Ludogorets were only defeated by a stoppage-time penalty at Anfield on matchday one, and Georgi Dermendzhiev’s men will take some confidence from that. However, after a stuttering start to the season, Madrid are on a prolific run which has seen them net 20 goals in their last four games, starting with the 5-1 home victory against Basel on the same night.
LUDOGORETS TEAM NEWS: Dermendzhiev makes one change from the side that were defeated 3-2 by Levski Sofia at the weekend, with Fabio Espinho replacing Anicet Abel. Goalkeeper Vladislav Stoyanov is available after serving a suspension so Milan Borjan, who stood between the sticks against Liverpool, drops to the bench.
Ludogorets (4-3-3): Stoyanov; Junior Caicara, Moti, A. Aleksandrov, Minev; Dyakov, Marcelinho, Fabio Espinho; Abalo, Bezjak, M. Aleksandrov.
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas; Arbeloa, Ramos, Varane, Marcelo; Modric, Illarramendi; Bale, Isco, Ronaldo; Hernandez.
Real Madrid bench: Navas, Pepe, Carvajal, Nacho, Kroos, James, Benzema.
REAL MADRID TEAM NEWS: Carlo Ancelotti makes four changes to the team that started the 2-0 win against Villarreal on Saturday. Dani Carvajal, Toni Kroos, James and Karim Benzema take their place on a start-studded bench, as Alvaro Arebloa, Asier Illarramendi, Isco and Javier Hernandez come into the starting line-up.
Los Blancos could line up in a 4-4-2 shape like that which they adopted in the 5-1 win over Elche last week, with Cristiano Ronaldo, who has scored eight goals in Madrid's previous four outings, joining Hernandez in attack and Isco moving out to the left.
Iker Casillas will make his 142nd Champions League appearance tonight, bringing him level with club legend Raul and one behind Xavi. The Barcelona midfielder set the new milestone when he came off the bench in the Blaugrana's 3-2 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain last night.
Although this game is being played a fair distance from Ludogorets' home town of Razgrad, a big crowd is expected in Sofia tonight as plenty of Bulgarian fans want to see their domestic title holders take on the 10-time European champions!
Madrid’s only previous trip to Bulgaria ended with them gaining a 1-0 win at Levski Sofia in the 1979-80 European Champion Clubs’ Cup before winning the tie by an aggregate score of 3-0. We are just five minutes away from kick off now! There should be a great atmosphere for what certainly has the makings of an intriguing game.
The anthem has been played and the pre-match formalities have all been conducted. The game will commence in a matter of moments!
HALF TIME - Ludogorets 1-1 Real Madrid: The Bulgarian side took a shock lead as Marcelinho headed home after just six minutes, but five minutes later the visitors were awarded a penalty. Ronaldo saw his spot-kick saved, but after winning another soon after he converted for the equaliser. A fascinating 45 minutes in Sofia. Be sure to stick around for the second half!
Welcome back! The teams are out and the second half will begin imminently!
FULL TIME - Ludogorets 1-2 Real Madrid: The reigning champions escape a scare in Sofia as they were forced to come from behind after Marcelinho put the hosts ahead. Ronaldo coverted his second penalty, having missed the first, before Benzema netted the winner late in the second half!
So, that is two wins from two in this Champions League campaign for Madrid, but the Eagles can be delighted with their displays despite suffering two defeats in their maiden pair of fixtures in the competition.
Real Madrid sit top of Group B with six points, three ahead of third-placed Basel. Ludogorets sit three points adrift of Liverpool at the foot of the group. That is it from me, Tom Webber, for this evening. Thanks a lot for joining me!
