The closest that Greece have come to an attacking foray for this half as Christodoulopoulos manages to find space down the left before turning himself into the area. With Sainsbury keeping pace, the Australian defender fails to be wrong-footed and dives in to win possession cleanly.
90'
Four minutes of added time is confirmed at Etihad Stadium.
88'
T. Rogić gets yellow.
86'
YELLOW CARD AUSTRALIA - Not too much happening from either side as we wind into the final minutes as Rogic stands firm under the ball and brings down Tzavellas. With the latter rolling around on the turf to make the most of the incident, Referee Madley takes the bait and duly produces a yellow. Rogic's been very quiet tonight.
84'
Ikonomidis looks to have the right idea as he throws his weight around down the left channel in order to win possession. Looking up to see Cahill at the far post, his intended cross drops just short of the Socceroos talisman as pleas of a suspected penalty are waved away. Replays suggest that perhaps Cahill had his shirt tugged.
82'
So we're inside the last 10 minutes at Etihad Stadium and the question needs to be asked as to which team wants this more? For what it's worth Australia are doing the bulk of the attacking whilst Greece are happy to sit back and take their chances on the counter. Can the Socceroos find the game-leveller or will Greece cling to their slender 1-2 lead?

78'
Neat interplay from Australia as Milligan links with Kruse who positions himself on the left side of the box before playing a ball back to Sainsbury. With a one-two executed, Kruse receives the return pass and tries to chip a ball over Kapino from the fringe. Kapino's awake to the danger and claims overhead though.

SUBSTITUTION AUSTRALIA - Leckie OFF
75'
Challenges are still flying in from left, right and centre as Referee Madley seems happy to keep his whistle in his mouth with Leckie charging in off his feet to take down Vellios. With the Socceroos midfielder already on a yellow, Madley sees it fit to only issue a warning. Leckie lucky to not have his second yellow.
73'
Play opens up just slightly for Australia as Stafylidis lingers in possession a touch too long which sees Kruse able to nip in from the side. Steaming down the right, Kruse thinks about cutting inside the area but instead sits on the ball. His decision to do so though sees Torosidis able to cut in to intercept 25 yards out.

A. Giannou enters the game and replaces A. Mooy.

A. Tziolis enters the game and replaces G. Maniatis.
With 20 minutes to go it's starting to become a cramped midfield space with both teams lacking to win clean possession. Wright looks to break that habit however as he wins the ball and immediately tries to turn a ball down the left which just misses the supporting run of Leckie 30 yards out.

YELLOW CARD GREECE - They're starting to rack up and you start to wonder as to whether both sides will finish with the full complement of players as Maniatis is now booked for dissent after Tzavellas brought down Cahill. For the record it's two yellows to Greece and three to Australia with 63 minutes played.
60'
A. Mooy gets yellow.
YELLOW CARD AUSTRALIA - This is cynical from Mooy as he leaves nothing behind in this challenge from behind on Bakasetas. With a bit of niggle between the two, they're still arguing as Samaris takes the free kick and forces Federici to tip it wide to the right. Game's start to bubble once again with 60 minutes played..
58'
T. Sainsbury has scored a goal for Australia!
57'
GOAL AUSTRALIA; AUSTRALIA 1, GREECE 2 - And that could be a pivotal miss for Greece as Australia scythe downfield with speed to win their ninth corner of the encounter. With Mooy dipping it from the right, it's Cahill who attracts the numbers before his initial shot is deflected off the woodwork. Sitting up from four yards out, Sainsbury arrives and tucks a header into the bottom left corner. Socceroos back in the game.
54'
WOODWORK - Greece so very close to being up 0-3 as Greece chalk up their second corner of the evening. Delivered from the left with pinpoint curl from Bakasetas, it falls perfectly for Torosidis who smacks it first-time with his left. With Federici stranded and Australia's defence at sixes-and-sevens, it hammers into the left post from close range.
52'
Australia managing to get themselves first to the ball early in the second half as they elect to utilise their right channel through McGowan. With a quick throw in released in an effort to find Mooy, it's smart defending from Tzavellas which wins the day as he nips in to intercept 20 yards out.
50'
CHANCE - A golden moment for the Socceroos to rake one back on the scoreboard as Mooy swings in a corner from the right. Dropping first for Cahill who nods towards home, Sainsbury's put on-side and tries to poke the ball home with right. The latter's control is lacking though as he flashes his effort over the crossbar from six yards.
48'
A great opportunity for Greece to add another to their tally early inside the second half as Bakasetas breaks down the right before releasing Vellios. Vellios sprints free of any Australian attention before getting inside the box where his intended cross to the back post trickles out of play.
46'
Underway in the second half at Etihad Stadium..
45'
A. Gersbach gets yellow.
43'
A string of late corners for Australia fails to trouble Kapino or a settled defensive effort from Stafylidis and Torosidis as the latter combine to clear an optimistic shot on goal from Kruse off the line. It's been all the Socceroos in the past 10 minutes however they're still struggling inside their final third.
40'
Hit and hope for the Socceroos as Mooy takes matters into his own hands and unleashes with a low drive from distance. It's all too easily handled by Kapino who gets down early to smother the effort before he proceeds to give his defenders some advice for allowing Mooy to shoot.
37'
The fuse is certainly lit in this one as Samaris brings down Mooy and proceeds to given the Socceroos midfielder an absolute spray before kicking the ball away in anger. Remarkably, neither outburst results in a card being shown as Australia take the free kick and release Rogic into space. Rogic's crafty effort from the right side of the box curls across the face however.
34'
S. Papastathopoulos gets yellow.
YELLOW CARD GREECE - Papastathopoulos into the referee's notebook as he launches into a pretty crude challenge on Rogic which brings down the Australian playmaker on the corner of the area. Bit of push and shove breaks out before the mess is handled and Mooy takes the free kick; it's delivered straight into the wall and deflected out of play.
31'
Nice attack from the Socceroos but Postecoglou will be insistent that they do much better than this as Kruse is played into at least 20 metres of space down the right. Able to break into the box without any attention, he goes looking for Cahill at the near post but can't pick him out as Cahill's dragged down. Penalty shouts weaved away however replays show Cahill was man-handled.
28'
M. Leckie gets yellow.
Australia's best passage so far as Cahill drifts into midfield and wins the ball before splaying a ball into the right channel. Picked up by Mooy and motored downfield, Mooy's delivery to a hard-charging Kruse is just off the mark as Kapino comes out to claim it 12 yards out. Still a mountain to climb for the Socceroos though.
26'
CHANCE - Australia so very, VERY lucky not to be 0-3 as they again show scant regard for defensive passes and turn the ball over just inside Greece's attacking half. With Cholebas breaking hard down the left and leaving two Socceroos defenders behind, he races towards the left corner of the box before trying to chip Federici. The effort lobs onto the roof of the net with Federici once again out positioned and in no-mans land. Time for Ryan perhaps?
23'
GOAL GREECE; AUSTRALIA 0, GREECE 2 - THIS. IS. SIMPLY. OUTSTANDING. A goal worthy of winning any encounter as Maniatis steals the ball from just inside Australia's attacking half and looks upfield to see Federici well off his line. With acres of space behind the Australian 'keeper, Maniatis loads up and delivers a perfectly executed lofted ball which sails over Federici from beyond halfway and lobs into the bottom left corner. Out of this world.
20'
G. Maniatis has scored a goal for Greece!
CHANCE - It looks as though the Socceroos have woken up as Kruse is able to jet down the left before hanging across a looped cross. Dropping for Leckie, he tries to volley it first time but sees his effort blocked before Cahill appears to shank the follow-up from eight yards.Tzavellas eventually manages to clear the danger for Greece.
19'
SAVED - Australia's first meaningful foray of the evening sees Mooy taking care of free kick duties as the Socceroos set up after the earlier tangle with Maniatis. Delivered with power and precision from 30 yards, Mooy's effort dips late and is expertly saved by Kapino who tips it away to the right.
16'
Tempers starting to fray in the middle as Mooy and Maniatis get themselves caught up in a jumbled mess about 35 yards from Australia's goal. Maniatis is rolling around on the turf like he's been shot to claim attention before Referee Madley steps in to quell the heated argument. Out of it all, Australia have the free kick.
13'
It's barely gone 15 minutes but Socceroos fans are already encouraging their team to shoot as Gersbach tears down the left. Coming within millimetres of cutting inside the area, he instead lays it back to Sainsbury who links with Mooy. Mooy's shut down almost immediately from 15 yards out and Greece clear.
10'
CHANCE - Greece go close to mustering a second shot at goal as they again force an error from Milligan in defence. With Samaris trying to pick out Mantalos, it's only Sainsbury's intervention that prevents Greece from arguably going 2-0 up as his backpass is cleared by Federici.
8'
P. Mantalos has scored a goal for Greece! Assist by A. Samaris.
GOAL GREECE; AUSTRALIA 0, GREECE 1 - This is sloppy from Australia as Milligan lingers on the ball and turns it over deep inside Greece's attacking half. With Samaris taking possession, he angles across to the right before putting in an angled ball into the path of Mantalos. With Federici stopping low in an effort to save it, Mantalos lifts it straight over him and into the bottom left corner from the right side of the box.
6'
Bakasetas is throwing his body around for the Greek outfit as he takes off in pursuit of a through ball and looks to have taken a forearm across the mouth from Wright. Wright perhaps a little lucky to be let off scot-free as the ball rolls to Federici who takes possession. After a while on the turf, Bakasetas finds his feet.
3'
Strong start from Greece as Sainsbury's body work sees him barging into the back of Bakasetas 15 yards out from Greece's goal. With the wall set, Samaris takes care of the free kick duties but can only power his effort into the Socceroos wall. Australia playing a pretty fragile form of defence at the moment.

With both sides now completing their National Anthems to thunderous applause, Referee Madley double checks that both sides are ready and blows us underway in Melbourne. It's Australia with first usage and moving from left to right in the first half..
Welcome to Etihad Stadium in Melbourne where the roof is closed and conditions underfoot are near-perfect as Australia host Greece in the second of their two Friendlies. With Greece coming unstuck with almost the final kick of the contest in Sydney to give the Socceroos a 1-0 victory, they'll be hellbent on revenge as we await kick-off in 10 minutes time..
HALF TIME; AUSTRALIA 0, GREECE 2 - We're done for the first 45 minutes at Etihad Stadium and we have quite the interesting duel on our hands with Greece flying out of the blocks early to put the early pressure on Australia. With Mantalos striking for Greece inside the first 10 minutes and then Maniatis scoring a world-class goal from inside his own half to put Greece up 2-0, the Socceroos have slowly worked their way into the contest but for scant reward. With a string of players on yellow cards for scything challenges, the fuse is lit for a fiery second half with the Socceroos trailing.
YELLOW CARD AUSTRALIA - This is ugly from Gersbach and he's extremely fortunate that Madley is a patient man as he charges in from the side to take out Mantalos. In an effort where Gersbach made no attempt to go for the ball, his tackle upends Mantalos and leaves the Greece midfielder a crumpled mess on the turf. Lucky it's only yellow.
FULL TIME; AUSTRALIA 1, GREECE 2 - It's all over at Etihad Stadium and Greece have snapped a 38-year wait for success against Australia in a pretty dour affair in Melbourne. After a rollicking and fast-paced first half which saw Greece race to a 0-2 lead, Australia were able to scramble one back through Sainsbury in the 57th minute before the quality went out of the contest. With neither side able to string together clean ball in attack, Greece have held on to inflict a 1-2 defeat on Australia.
