There will be two minutes added on at the end of this match.
88'
This has been a friendly in every sense of the word. There have been very few tackles put in throughout what has been a largely celebratory 90 minutes in Monchengladbach, as Germany bids farewell to their skipper.
86'
The tempo has completely gone out of the match now as Germany pass it around on the periphery, keen to run the final minutes off the clock. Finland aren't putting up much of a fight either as they look ahead to their qualifier against Kosovo at the weekend.
84'
STAT: Finland’s only previous victory over Germany came in February 1923.
82'
J. Ojala enters the game and replaces P. Arajuuri.
Juhani Ohala comes on to replace Arajuuri.
80'
Ozil is credited with the goal but that's subject to change. It didn't look like it would have gone in had it not been for the deflection. Germany won't care who's credited with it, however. They have their second goal as Bastian Schweinsteiger's farewell match is sure to end in victory now.
78'
T. Müller enters the game and replaces J. Brandt.
Thomas Muller comes on for the final 10 minutes in place of Brandt.
77'
M. Özil has scored a goal for Germany! Assist by M. Götze.
THERE IT IS! Game, set and match. Ozil's cross takes a fortunate deflection of Arajuuri, as it bounces over the reach of Hradecky, off the far post and into the back of the net for Germany's second!
76'
It's all Germany at the moment as they have Finland pinned deep in their end. This is some wonderfully concentrated pressure being applied by the hosts and you just get the sense that a second goal is on the way.

Description
74'
Play comes to a halt as Moisander is down injured after committing himself to a challenge. The centre-half didn't have to travel very far to meet his international team-mates, having moved to Germany this summer in a transfer to Werder Bremen.
72'
S. Mattila enters the game and replaces M. Halsti.
E. Markkanen enters the game and replaces J. Pohjanpalo.
Eero Markkanen replaces Pohjanpalo.
Substitution Markus Halsti Sakari Mattila
70'
STAT: The last meeting between these two sides was a World Cup qualifier in Wolfsburg, back in 2009. Lukas Podolski’s 90th minute equaliser canceled out Jonatan Johansson’s opener as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
68'
J. Weigl enters the game and replaces B. Schweinsteiger.
Handshakes and hugs all around for Schweinsteiger as he arrives at the touchline, with Julian Weigl on to replace him.
67'
Listen to them roar! A standing ovation for Bastian Schweinsteiger who gets set to depart the pitch here in his final match in a Germany shirt after an incredible international career.
65'
SHOULD BE TWO! Mustafi gets on the end of a cross at the far post but cannot turn it home! The rebound falls incredibly kindly for Gotze, however, who appears sure to covert the chance, but somehow the forward's effort is blocked and turned over by Saksela!
63'
M. Özil enters the game and replaces J. Hector.
Attacking change for Germany as Hector gives way to Mesut Ozil.
61'
Touching moment here as a fan invades the pitch for a selfie with Schweinsteiger, and the midfielder plays along affably. There's no security intervention, either, as the fan is allowed to walk off the pitch unquestioned.
60'
J. Saksela enters the game and replaces J. Uronen.
R. Schüller enters the game and replaces R. Lod.
Rasmus Schuller replaces Lod.
Double switch here from Finland, the first of which sees Janne Saksela come on in place of Uronen.
58'
J. Tah enters the game and replaces N. Süle.
Sule's debut ends just inside of an hour as he's replaced by Jonathan Tah.
57'
HUNGRY FOR MORE! Bellarabi tries his luck from outside the area, driving a thunderous strike at goal, but Hradecky does well to get his body behind it to make the save. The hosts are pressing for a second that would surely put this game to bed.
55'
M. Meyer has scored a goal for Germany! Assist by M. Götze.
Inviting delivery from Gotze who provides the assist.
A FIRST FOR MEYER! And a first for Germany as well! The Schalke midfielder delays his run, showing great awareness and dedication to get on the end of Gotze's delivery and tuck home a composed finish for his first international goal!
52'
INCHES AWAY! Finland take advantage with Germany short a man, as Mustafi remains on the sideline. Uronen does well to get forward on the overlap and play an inviting ball across the face of goal, but a sliding Pukki just fails to connect with it!
50'
Uh oh! From excitement, to despair! Mustafi rolls his ankle awkwardly following a coming together with Lod, and he goes down in a great deal of pain. He's looked at by the training staff, as a substitute readies on the touchline. This isn't a match to take chances with this sort of thing.
48'
WALL OF SHKODRAN! Arsenal fans will be thrilled with that. Pukki is sprung into all sorts of space as he breaks into the area, but Mustafi does brilliantly to recover and then keeps his cool excellently to thwart the striker's route to goal!
46'
T. Pukki enters the game and replaces K. Hämäläinen.
B. Leno enters the game and replaces M. ter Stegen.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen is replaced by Bernd Leno at the break.
Teemu Pukki, the former Schalke and Celtic striker, replaces Hamalainen at the interval.
The second half is underway in Monchengladbach!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: GERMANY 0-0 FINLAND.
45'
There will be just one minute added on at the end of this first half.
43'
OFFSIDE! He's missed the chance, anyhow. Volland is sprung through behind the defence, and while he beats Hradecky with his shot, he can't find the right side of the post as it crashes into the side-netting. The flag went up for offside anyway, so it wouldn't have counted.
41'
Impressive hit! Sule unloads a drive from range and makes an excellent connection with the ball, forcing Hradecky into a smart save. While the tempo may suggest otherwise, Germany would love to get their goal before the interval.
39'
Germany have another gear which they've yet to feel the need to shift into. It's been a rather pedestrian display from the hosts, as this match proves to be more for the younger players trying to earn their keep.
37'
This is an impressive spell from Finland, who win a corner and keep the pressure on with a throw deep near the opposite corner flag. They're showing good determination, but the quality has been lacking in the final third from the visitors.
35'
Finland have really bought into the team mentality. They aren't backing down in the face of pressure, and even when Germany get bodies forward, the visitors haven't panicked. This is an impressive display from the Finns and it should provide them plenty of confidence in advance of the World Cup qualifying campaign.
33'
STAT: The last four head-to-head meetings between the two sides have ended in a stalemate, all World Cup qualifiers.
31'
BLOCKED! Germany inching closer to a breakthrough here! Gotze twists and turns his way into space in the area, before rounding the keeper. He has a clean look at goal from in close, but Raitala flies in with a terrific block to turn the effort aside and keep the game scoreless!
29'
OFF THE POST! Oh how embarrassing that could have been! Arajuuri is on hand to intercept a cross in from the left, but his flubbed clearance is sent rattling off the woodwork, as he just narrowly escapes an own goal!
27'
Play resumes following a brief stoppage with Lam down, after appearing to over-extend himself following a sliding challenge on Volland inside the area. He does appear to be alright to continue, however.
25'
BIG CHANCE! There's a bit of pace from Germany, who pass their way forward swiftly and incisively. Volland is sprung through down the left and rolls a square ball across the face of goal, but no one is on hand to meet it as Moisander manages to clear Finland's line!
23'
There's a bit of a lethargic feel about this match, which is being played closer to a preseason pace. Germany do not have much urgency about them, and Finland haven't adopted the necessary pace to capitalise on their opportunities on the counter, either.
21'
Finland show some impressive creativity to get forward and win a corner, sparked by a clever ball from Moisander, the now Werder Bremen centre-half. They pack blue shirts in the area in anticipation of a delivery, but Uronen's cross leaves plenty to be desired as Germany clear with ease.
19'
Germany are doing everything they can to make this a fairytale end to Schweinsteiger's international career. The midfielder, hardly known for his free-kick prowess, is on the bulk of the set-pieces as they try and get him the goal to mark this momentous occasion.
17'
CLOSE! Mustafi does well to get himself a free header as he attacks a corner impressively. The centre-half gets everything right but the finish in the end, however, as his effort sails over the bar. Finland let off the hook there, that really should have produced a better end product.
15'
Decent hit! Schweinsteiger does well to pick out Meyer in a central position and the Schalke midfielder, so comfortable in a number 10 role, drives a low strike at goal from 20 yards, but doesn't get the required accuracy behind it as Hradecky makes a simple save in the end.
13'
STAT: Finland have gone eight matches without a victory, dating back to September 2015, a 1-0 win over the Faroe Islands (D3, L5).
11'
Finland remain very organised, making life incredibly difficult on the hosts. The Germans finally find a way through, sparked by the run of Bellarabi on the right, but his cross is parried smartly by Hradecky.
9'
OFFSIDE! Hamalainen gets on the end of an encouraging move, but the flag was raised to deny him a clean look at goal. For all the possession Germany have had in these opening nine minutes, it's Finland who get into the best position thus far.
7'
Every Schweinsteiger touch is met by a roaring applause from these Die Mannschaft supporters. The midfielder's illustrious career with the national side has unquestionably won over the hearts of these fans, who appear set to show their appreciation one final time this evening.
5'
The ball in behind will be there for Finland, who have already given Pohjanpalo something to chase. But possession remains firmly in Germany's control, as the hosts try and patiently build high up the pitch.
3'
Hector and Bellarabi are playing very high up the pitch, leaving the back three to largely fend for themselves. The added width has allowed Germany to dominate possession in the early stages, however, it does appear as though there will be chances for Finland to hit back on the counter.
1'
And we're off! Finland get us underway, in their blue tops, attacking right to left, with Germany in white shirts and black shorts.
Hello and welcome to live coverage from Borussia-Park in Monchengladbach as Germany play host to Finland in Bastian Schweinsteiger’s farewell match!
Germany open up 2018 World Cup qualifying at the weekend against Norway, and coach Joachim Low is using the opportunity tonight to take a look at a few players who will not feature in that match.
The 32-year-old Manchester United midfield makes his final appearance for the national team this evening before calling it quits. Tonight marks the 121st and final time he will don a Germany shirt, bringing an end to an illustrious career on the international stage.
Schweinsteiger's finale will also be remembered as one man's debut, with Hoffenheim's Niklas Sule earning his first international cap after impressing during the Olympics. Julian Brandt and Max Meyer are awarded their second international caps, but will be sent home tomorrow having yet to get a break this summer after representing Germany in Rio.
Mario Gotze leads the line, flanked by Kevin Volland and Brandt, while Karim Bellarabi and Jonas Hector provide support out wide. Joshua Kimmich and new Arsenal recruit Shkodran Mustafi partner Sule in defence.
Finland are going with a healthy blend of youth and experienced, with five members of their XI tonight under 25 years of age. It's a chance to impress for a number of these players, with spots up for grabs following a disappointing Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.
Kick-off is delayed for a ceremony to honour a teary eyed Bastian Schweinsteiger, who addresses the crowd at Borussia-Park ahead of his farewell match. Plenty of German legends in attendance this evening to pay tribute to the World Cup winner.
Finland commence their qualifying on Monday night against newcomers Kosovo in Turku. While three points figure to be in order for Hans Backe’s side in their opener, the Finns have a daunting task ahead of them, drawn into a group with Croatia, Iceland, Ukraine and Turkey as well.
A defensive-minded Finland side have battled impeccably through 45 minutes as the Bastian Schweinsteiger's farewell match heads into the break scoreless. Germany have come close on a few occasions, but some determined last-ditch defending has helped the Finns preserve the 0-0 draw.
Max Meyer and Mesut Ozil ensured a winning end to Bastian Schweinsteiger's international career, as Germany bid farewell to one of their best of the past decade.
So 12 years, 121 appearance and one World Cup removed from his debut, Germany say goodbye to their skipper. "Danke, Basti" read signs throughout Borussia-Park.
That's all for our live coverage, thank for following along. Goodbye!
