EXCELLENT SAVE! Into the second of three added minutes and Neymar tries to sneak a free-kick in at the near post, but Mendy is wise to it, getting across to palm it behind for a corner.
90'
OFF THE BAR! Cavani is slipped through on goal and again opts to chip Mendy. He beats the goalkeeper clean, but there's just too much power behind his effort as it smacks off the bar! No hat-trick for the striker!
89'
It feels wrong to say this so early in the season, especially given how well Lyon have played of late, but it feels as though PSG might just run away with the Ligue 1 title this season. They've built a big cushion at the top already, by virtue of their best start to a season, and there doesn't appear to be any stopping them.
87'
This is a training ground routine as time winds down, with Reims passing it about harmlessly at the back and PSG fine to let them do so. The hosts have shut it down here it would seem, in advance of a busy week ahead before the international break.
85'
It gets a bit tougher for PSG at the weekend as they face a trip to Nice. They narrowly won at Allianz Riviera last season, by virtue of a late Dani Alves goal, and lost there the previous campaign.
81'
N. Mbemba enters the game and replaces A. Romao.
The visitors' final change sees Mbemba come on at the expense of Romao, who was on a yellow card.
79'
That latest chance for PSG goes to show just how quickly they can add to their lead. Reims had slowly let their guard down following a prolonged stint in possession, and were nearly made to pay. They will be a bit more cautious over the final 10 minutes, surely.
77'
JUST OUT OF HIS REACH! Mendy with some alert goalkeeping there, somewhat making up for his blunder at the end of the first half, as he gets off his line in a flash to collect Neymar's throughball, just before Diaby is able to poke it by him!
75'
Reims have been in the ascendancy for the last 10 minutes or so, but they've been unable to carve out a real chance in attack. Their hopes of leaving Paris with a point have to be gone by this point, but the worst attack in Ligue 1 according to the numbers could use another goal to boost their confidence.
Minute
Description
71'
Even further concern for PSG perhaps, as the cameras spot Rabiot on the bench getting an ice pack taped to his thigh. Hopefully for their sake it's nothing more than a bruise. The good news, at least, is Marquinhos appears to be fine.
69'
M. Cafaro enters the game and replaces P. Chavarría.
Reims going without a striker for the final 20 minutes as Chavarria is replaced by Cafaro, a midfielder.
68'
Reims applying a bit of pressure of their own now. Kamara's initial ball in from the left is blocked well by Meunier, but the attack stays alive until Buffon makes an alert intervention, diving out to parry a low delivery into the centre. And now PSG have another injury concern as Marquinhos has stayed down with a knock, though this doesn't look like anything serious.
66'
Á. Di María enters the game and replaces A. Rabiot.
Even more reinforcements for PSG in attack as Di Maria replaces Rabiot. No mercy being shown by the hosts.
65'
The wealth of stoppages have seen the tempo drop off a bit here. PSG are still dictating possession, but Reims are taking an all-hands-on-deck approach to defending now. They don't want this to get more out of hand than it already is.
63'
H. Kamara enters the game and replaces R. Oudin.
A first change for Reims sees Kamara come on to take the place of Oudin. It's a defensive switch for the visitors, who are focused on damage control here.
59'
C. Nkunku enters the game and replaces J. Draxler.
A second PSG change on the night sees Nkunku replace Draxler in attack.
56'
SO NEARLY THE HAT-TRICK! It's rare to see Cavani snatch at a chance as so, but he drags a shot well wide from 15 yards here after the ball fell kindly to him in the penalty area!
55'
T. Meunier has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by M. Diaby.
HOW ABOUT ANOTHER?! 4-1 PSG! Diaby has been absolutely terrific tonight in his first PSG start, and he picks up the assist he has thoroughly deserved here as he unselfishly rolls a pass into the path of Meunier in the centre, who simply couldn't miss.
Diaby is making a strong case to become a regular in this side, as he marks his first start with an assist.
53'
STRAIGHT AT BUFFON! Successive corners for the visitors see them apply a bit of pressure, as they work the ball around well in the final third. The end result is a seeing-eye shot by Oudin from 20 yards, but it's hit directly into the waiting arms of Buffon.
52'
DEFLECTED JUST WIDE! A PSG corner is played in low towards the top of the penalty area, where it's met by Verratti. The midfielder drives an effort through the crowd, and Cavani redirects it to wrong-foot the keeper, but just can't get it on target! Back the other way come Reims, and they have a rare corner of their own.
50'
The second half as started much like the first ended, with PSG continuing to assert themselves and dominating possession. They're having their way in this match, with the visitors struggling to congest things, despite packing five bodies into midfield.
48'
Despite his goal from the penalty spot, Neymar hasn't been as lively in attack tonight as say Diaby or Cavani, partially due to the fact that he's being marked so closely. He does get a decent look early in this second half, however, and tests his luck with a strike from distance, but it's nothing to trouble Mendy in the end.
46'
Off they go again! Reims get the second half underway...
45' +3
HALF-TIME: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 3-1 REIMS.
45' +1
There will be a minimum of three minutes added on at the end of this first half.
44'
E. Cavani has scored a goal for PSG!
A HOWLER! PSG LEAD 3-1! Neymar floats a free-kick from 30 yards in towards the far post, which should have resulted in a straightforward catch for Mendy, but the keeper spills it rather embarrassingly into the path of Cavani, who can hardly believe his luck as he rolls a finish into the gaping net.
43'
Into the closing stages of the half now, and Reims look to be a lot more assured in defence. Adopting the physical approach seems to have worked for them, as they've been able to keep the hosts at arm's length over the last 10 minutes or so. The last thing they can afford is to concede again before the break.
39'
A. Romao gets yellow.
Well there's one! The first yellow of the match, and it's been coming. Romao arrives late and blows through the back of Neymar, sending him hard to the ground. The forward is on the receiving end of yet another physical challenge, but he pops up a bit quicker this time as the yellow card is produced and shown to the Reims skipper.
38'
Neymar goes to ground again after taking a stray arm to the face from Ndom. The Brazilian has been given some rough treatment in this first half, which is nothing out of the ordinary. He doesn't look happy, though, with these Reims players consistently escaping without bookings.
36'
Oudin is lucky not to be booked for a tough and cynical foul on Neymar, who stays down following the coming together. It's a stern talking to for the midfielder, instead. The ensuing free-kick is whipped in invitingly by Neymar, who picks out the run of Cavani, but the striker fails to keep his header down.
34'
Stunning run! That's absolutely brilliant from Diaby, who shows impressive pace and dazzling skill to poke the ball beyond a defender and sprint forward down the flank, before expertly picking out Neymar with his ball into the centre. The Brazilian goes to ground looking for a penalty, but the referee isn't interested.
32'
Opportunities for Reims to break have been limited, which is why they need to be able to capitalise when the moment presents itself. They did so early, but since the goal they have hardly been able to string more than a couple of passes together. They have barely been able to break out of their own end, in fact.
28'
The stranglehold PSG have on this match is undeniable. Reims got off to a fast start with that second-minute goal, but it's been all PSG since. Their possession figures are up at 80 per cent, and they're showing no signs of loosening their grip.
26'
PSG have been making a habit of falling behind early in matches of late. This is the third successive match in which they have conceded the first goal. With the firepower they have in the side it's not always an issue, but as was proven in their 3-2 defeat in Liverpool, they can't make it a habit against Europe's other top sides.
24'
Penalty goal scored by Neymar for PSG!
FROM BEHIND, PSG LEAD! 2-1! Neymar sends Mendy the wrong way, slotting home a confident penalty to put the hosts in front!
23'
T. Meunier enters the game and replaces C. Dagba.
PENALTY TO PSG! No doubt in the referee's mind this time! Diaby bursts down the left and has no real options in the centre, yet somehow spots the delayed run of Cavani and guides the perfect pass into his path, and the striker is immediately taken down by an ill-timed challenge!
Before the penalty is taken, Meunier is brought on to replace the injured Dagba in a straight swap.
19'
This is certainly a concern for PSG, as Dagba pulls up lame following a hard sprint to try and keep the ball in play. He was under no pressure, and there was no contact, which makes this look even more ominous. At the risk of speculating, given the look of how he's pulled up there it is more than likely a hamstring injury, and it's unlikely he will be able to continue.
17'
PENALTY? No says the referee, but there's a strong case to be made for PSG! Diaby's cross quite clearly struck the arm of a defender, preventing it from getting through, but the referee isn't interested. Perhaps he feels as though the defender had little time to react? Nonetheless, by the book that certainly could classify as a penalty.
15'
The frantic pace has slowed, if only slightly, as PSG have sort of taken over here. The hosts are dictating possession as they set up camp in the attacking half, with the visitors forced to drop deeper than they would like.
13'
Reims have to be a bit more cautious. Their bravery in getting forward has been admirable in the opening stages, but they're leaving themselves exposed in defence. The last thing they want is to get into a blow-for-blow encounter with the Ligue 1 giants.
11'
The tempo remains very high with both sides keen to attack. Following a decent break by the visitors, PSG respond through Diaby. The youngster bursts into the area via the left channel and threads a ball in to pick out the run of Cavani towards the near post, but he can't produce the touch it needed under pressure from Abdelhamid.
7'
Well what a start it has been in the French capital! Reims got off to a flier with their first goal of September, having been held scoreless in their last three, but their joy was short-lived. A sumptuous finish from Cavani has the match brilliantly poised following a frenetic opening!
5'
E. Cavani has scored a goal for PSG!
HOW'S THAT FOR A FINISH?! 1-1! Parity restored in Paris just like that, and it's all down to a simply brilliant effort from Cavani! He picks up a loose ball and immediately heads north, blowing away from a defender before so casually producing an absolutely sublime chip into the far corner, leaving Mendy rooted to his spot! He made that look so easy, but there's few in the sport who can produce an effort like that so coolly!
3'
SMART SAVE! PSG respond in a hurry, wasting no time as they look to get back on level terms, but Mendy sprawls out to his right to produce a terrific save to deny Draxler's effort from 20 yards! What a start!
2'
X. Chavalerin has scored a goal for Reims! Assist by P. Chavarría.
Chavarria provides the assist with a lovely spot on the end of an incisive run.
WELL THAT WASN'T IN THE SCRIPT! 1-0 REIMS! What a start for the visitors! With their first attack of the night, Chavarria surges down the left flank and picks out the perfect pull-back for Chavalerin, who passes a cool first-time finish in at the far post!
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! PSG in blue as they get the match underway, with Reims in red and white.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of this Ligue 1 match as Paris Saint-Germain welcome Reims to Parc des Princes for some midweek action!
PSG came from behind to maintain their perfect start to the league campaign through six matches and lead their closest title challengers, Lille, by five points. It’s already a massive gap, especially over the likes of last season’s top-three finishers Lyon (at 10 points) and Monaco (six).
The depth of their squad has been on display as well, with 10 different players finding the back of the net through the first six matches, and 23 players appearing for them already. They are heavy favourites to keep this run going tonight, and at this rate they might have the title wrapped up by January!
Reims have been plagued by inconsistency early in this campaign, winning their first two matches, losing their next two and then drawing the two most recent – their form has been the exact same at home and away from home, as well.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
PSG (4-2-3-1): Gianluigi Buffon; Colin Dagba, Marquinhos, Thiago Silva, Stanley N'Soki; Adrien Rabiot, Marco Verratti; Moussa Diaby, Neymar, Julian Draxler; Edinson Cavani.
SUBS: Alphone Areola, Thilo Kehrer, Christopher Nkunku, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Thomas Meunier, Angel Di Maria, Presnel Kimpembe.
REIMS (4-5-1): Edouard Mendy; Roman Metanire, Bjorn Engels, Yunis Abdelhamid, Ghislain Konan; Remi Oudin, Xavier Chavalerin, Aly Ndom, Jacques-Alaixys Romao, Sheyi Ojo; Pablo Chavarria.
Thomas Tuchel hands Diaby a first PSG start, as the attacker gets the nod ahead of Di Maria, who drops to the bench. Diaby has made three appearances in Ligue 1 this season, all off the bench, and has one goal to his name. That's one of four changes made from the win at Rennes, as Dagba, Silva and N'Soki come into defence, replacing Meunier, Bernat and Kimpembe, who all are given a rest.
David Guion makes three changes to his side following the draw with Dijon. Metanire and Oudin come in on the right-hand side, replacing Foket and Martin, while Ndom is brought in to provide a bit more steel in midfield, at the expense of Doumbia. Liverpool loanee Ojo makes his second start, having made his full debut at the weekend.
What is even more of a concern for Reims is their struggles in front of goal. They have yet to score more than a single goal in any of their six matches, and have been held goalless in their last three, with new signing Suk Hyun-Jun yet to find the back of the net.
SUBS: Johann Carrasso, Mathieu Cafaro, Marvin Martin, Hassane Kamara, Axel Disasi, Suk Hyun-Jun, Nolan Mbemba.
Any shock that appeared to be on the cards following Xavier Chavalerin's second-minute opener was quickly erased minutes later by a wonderful Edinson Cavani equaliser - one of two goals for the striker on either side of a Neymar penalty, as PSG have a commanding lead heading into the break.
Through 45 minutes it doesn't appear as though anything will stop PSG from winning their seventh successive league match to open the season for the first time in their history... but that's why they play the game! Still a half of football to play, and anything is possible.
For the first time in history PSG have won their first seven matches in a Ligue 1 campaign! Two Edinson Cavani goals, on either side of a Neymar penalty, helped erase an early deficit, before Thomas Meunier added a fourth after the break as Thomas Tuchel's side cruise to their best start to a season in club history.
That's all for our live coverage, thanks for following along. Goodbye!
