Jonny almost chests down into the path of Gabbiadini inside the box, but the striker can't quite fashion an opportunity and Wolves escape with their clean sheet intact!
90' +2
SAVE! Patricio holds onto a firm Gabbiadini strike as the substitute latches onto a loose clearance.
90' +1
Léo Bonatini enters the game and replaces R. Jiménez.
SUB! Bonatini comes on for the closing stages of the match, replacing Jimenez up front.
89'
Ings shows great grit and desire to track back down the flank and block off Traore. Such a hard worker.
87'
Jonny has scored a goal for Wolverhampton Wanderers! Assist by M. Doherty.
Excellent driving run by Doherty, but it's appalling defending from Armstrong, who barely put in a challenge.
GOAL! JONNY MAKES IT 2-0 TO WOLVES! Doherty strolls past Armstrong on the right and gets to the byline before rolling it into Jonny, whose first touch looks poor initially, but it's just out of reach of the Southampton defenders, and the Spaniard drills the ball in through the legs of McCarthy!
86'
TACKLE! Jimenez gets a free run at goal, but Hoedt gets back to make an excellent tackle to deny him a one-on-one!
84'
MISS! Neves picks out Jimenez following a corner and the striker tries an ambitious effort, but it sails over the crossbar.
83'
SAVE! WHAT A SAVE BY MCCARTHY! A short-corner routine sees Moutinho curl a cross onto the head of Jimenez at the near post, and he guides the header on target with real pace, but McCarthy somehow gets a hand to it and turns it over the bar from almost over the line!
81'
BLOCK! Bertrand tries to blast one at goal, but sees it blocked away as he tries to inspire a comeback.
Minute
Description
79'
Ivan Cavaleiro has scored a goal for Wolverhampton Wanderers! Assist by R. Jiménez.
Jimenez is unselfish and picks out the right option in Cavaleiro rather than trying to go for goal himself.
GOAL! CAVALEIRO SCORES OFF THE BENCH! WOLVES LEAD 1-0! Traore charges down the right but slows up as he faces up to Bertrand. He gets to the byline well though and fizzes a cross into Jimenez, who lays it off for Cavaleiro and the substitute smashes it into the back of the net with a ruthless first-time finish! It's 1-0 to Wolves!
77'
M. Gabbiadini enters the game and replaces C. Austin.
Ivan Cavaleiro enters the game and replaces Diogo Jota.
SUB! Austin fails to continue his scoring record against Wolves, and is replaced by Gabbiadini.
SUB! Jota makes way for Cavaleiro - who makes his first Premier League appearance after returning from a back injury.
76'
SAVE! Armstrong does very well to get a shot off from close range despite being off-balance, but Patricio is equal to it, and clings on gratefully.
74'
Adama Traoré gets yellow.
YELLOW! Traore tries to dribble past Redmond and steps on the winger's foot. He's bewildered at the yellow brandished at him, claiming that it wasn't intentional.
73'
A corner is cleared out to the edge of the area, and it's worked to Neves, but his attempt at a deep cross doesn't come off and it's straight to McCarthy.
71'
S. Armstrong enters the game and replaces M. Elyounoussi.
SUB! Elyounoussi - just back from injury - is replaced by fellow summer signing Armstrong for the final 20 minutes.
69'
SAVE! Vestergaard - of all people - lines up a free-kick from a great distance out, but his dipping shot straight down the middle is flapped at somewhat by Patricio, who has to pounce on the loose ball as it gets away from him.
67'
CHANCE! Traore gets into space down the right and squares across goal for the onrushing Jota, but Cedric recovers very well to see off the danger.
66'
Austin takes an appalling shot that flies miles over the bar, and closer to the corner flag than the goal. Awful effort.
64'
Redmond tries to barrel his way through, seeing a left-footed strike blocked, before he tries a flying volley that is also charged down. Strong spell for the Saints.
62'
BLOCK! Redmond picks out Ings, who turns his man cleverly and smashes an effort at goal from close-range, but it's deflected behind for a corner!
61'
Elyounoussi races down the line and fizzes in a very dangerous ball that is just nicked away from danger. Wolves seem far more lethargic in their press than they did in the opening stages.
59'
Redmond gets a chance to push forward after being forced to tuck in since the introduction of Traore, and wins a corner on the left off Bennett, but Wolves have everyone back defending and clear their lines.
57'
Jonny gets yellow.
YELLOW! The corner is a poor one, and Jonny ends up being forced to make a cynical challenge to prevent a Southampton counter.
56'
Cedric is forced to concede a corner as Jonny runs at him down the left, to a roar of support by the home crowd.
54'
Southampton are still down to 10 men following the challenge on Lemina, who is still on the sidelines receiving treatment.
53'
SUB! Costa appears to be struggling after a clash of knees earlier in the half, and he is replaced by new signing Traore, who will relish facing up to a full-back on a yellow card.
52'
Adama Traoré enters the game and replaces Hélder Costa.
51'
Diogo Jota gets yellow.
YELLOW! Jota makes a poor challenge on Lemina inside the Southampton box, slipping as he goes to nick the ball away. He's not happy, however, referencing Vestergaard's three unpunished challenges on himself.
50'
R. Bertrand gets yellow.
YELLOW! Bertrand finally picks up the first yellow card of the day, hacking down Moutinho as he progressed down the right.
46'
And we're back underway for the start of the second half!
45' +1
HALF-TIME: WOLVES 0-0 SOUTHAMPTON
45'
Wow. Elyounoussi takes possibly one of the worst corners the Premier League has ever seen, sending it straight out of play and miles behind for a goal kick. That might be him off set-piece duty.
44'
Wolves give the ball away cheaply and Elyounoussi's dangerous cross forces Coady to head over his own bar and concede a corner!
42'
MISS! Moutinho crosses early for Jimenez, who had pulled onto Cedric at the back post, but his header sails over the bar!
40'
Ings very nearly picks out Elyounoussi's clever run, but it's covered well by Coady, who shields the ball until Patricio can come and claim it.
38'
SAVE! Neves swerves a quality pass out to Doherty on the right, and the wing-back's cross at the second time of asking finds Jimenez in the box, but his first-time effort towards the near post is kept out by a well-positioned McCarthy!
36'
Southampton win a corner and it's a deep delivery towards Vestergaard, but it's headed clear and Cedric does excellently to prevent the hosts from launching a counter-attack.
34'
Jimenez latches onto a loose ball from Redmond at the back and he holds it up for Neves, before laying him off, but the midfielder's effort is pulled wide from the edge of the box.
33'
Vestergaard's poor start to the game continues as he passes the ball straight to Jota following an awful short-corner routine at the other end, but Jimenez's touch lets him down and the attack fizzles out.
31'
BLOCK! It's Ings' turn to have a pop as he cuts onto his right and curls one, but it's deflected wide by Boly!
30'
Southampton are growing into the game and work it around well, but Lemina is off-balance as he tries to hit one from distance and it spins harmlessly wide of the goal.
28'
SAVE! Elyounoussi's movement off the ball is clever and it gets him in behind Jonny, forcing Patricio to come out and block the winger's dinked effort at goal!
26'
MISS! Austin gets his first sight of goal, and duly pulls the trigger despite being pushed wide by Coady. He drags it, though, and Ings can't quite turn it on target.
24'
Hojbjerg goes to ground under minimal contact on the edge of the box, and is perhaps lucky to escape a booking for diving.
22'
SAVE! Moutinho curls an enticing cross into the box and Bennett gets his head to it, nodding it down towards goal, but McCarthy catches it somewhat unconvincingly.
20'
Bertrand is the latest Southampton defender to concede a free-kick in a dangerous area, hauling Costa back and conceding the foul. Moutinho's effort from distance is very poor, however, and goes straight into the wall.
18'
Vestergaard blocks the run of Jota yet again, and the Wolves players make the point to the referee that it's his third foul on the forward already, but there's no card forthcoming.
16'
Ings has dropped very deep to pick up the ball, finding himself in the holding midfield role. He and Austin have barely touched it so far.
14'
SAVE! Elyounoussi has time to take a touch and strike one at goal from outside the area, but it's a weak effort and is easily saved by Patricio.
12'
TACKLE! Great defending from Cedric, who is left one-on-one with Jota, and recovers well as the forward cuts inside to make a crucial challenge and take the ball away.
10'
SAVE! Huge chance for Wolves, who win it high up again, before Costa throws a couple of stepovers in and works the ball wide to Doherty. The right wing-back fizzes it in towards Jimenez, and it's half-cleared out to Jonny, whose curling strike is beaten away by McCarthy!
9'
MISS! Wolves win the ball high up the field and work it to Moutinho, who tries a long-range strike that rises just over the bar!
8'
MISS! Neves' delivery is good this time and he picks out Doherty in the middle, but the right-back's header is scuffed poorly wide! Wolves are well on top.
7'
Jota commits Vestergaard again and the big Dane barges him to the floor. A dangerous position for a cross on the left from the set-piece.
6'
Neves' effort lacks conviction, but the midfielder wins a corner off the wall. His corner is poor too, however, and Southampton clear.
5'
Jota skips past Vestergaard and wins a free-kick just within striking distance. Neves stands over it menacingly.
3'
Wolves look to press Southampton high up the field, and force an early mistake from the visitors as Redmond can't keep a rushed switch in play.

And we're underway at the Molineux Stadium!
The line-ups have been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Hello and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the Premier League fixture between Wolves and Southampton at the Molineux Stadium!
Wolves XI (3-4-3): Rui Patricio; Willy Boly, Conor Coady, Ryan Bennett; Jonny, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Matt Doherty; Diogo Jota, Raul Jimenez, Helder Costa
Wolves substitutes: Adama Traore, Romain Saiss, Kortney Hause, Ivan Cavaleiro, Ruben Vinagre, Leo Bonatini, John Ruddy
Southampton XI (4-4-2): Alex McCarthy; Ryan Bertrand, Wesley Hoedt, Jannik Vestergaard, Cedric Soares; Nathan Redmond, Mario Lemina, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Mohamed Elyounoussi; Danny Ings, Charlie Austin
Southampton substitutes: Manolo Gabbiadini, Angus Gunn, Stuart Armstrong, Matt Targett, Oriol Romeu, Maya Yoshida, Steven Davis
Nuno Espirito Santo reverts back to the side that held Manchester United to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford, having made nine changes in midweek as Wolves were knocked out of the EFL Cup on penalties by Leicester City. Mark Hughes, meanwhile, makes three alterations, dropping Romeu and Targett to the bench, while Shane Long misses out through injury. Austin and Ings start up front together, while Elyounoussi returns from injury.
At half-time, both sides will feel they have more to offer. Wolves bossed the early proceedings and fashioned a few chances from their high press, while Jota had the better of the lumbering Vestergaard. Southampton grew into the game, however, as Wolves lacked their usual efficiency, but could not create a clear-cut opening.
If Wolves can produce the sort of performance they hinted at with their flying start to the game, then they will feel confident of a win today. However, Southampton will feel that they have every chance of nicking something from the hosts if they produce the same sort of off-colour showing for periods of the second half - but they will need to be much more clinical and effective in the final third if they are to do so.
Wolves travel to London to face Crystal Palace next, while Southampton play Everton at Goodison Park as they look to avoid three defeats on the bounce.
Thank you for joining our coverage today as Wolves maintained their excellent start to the season. Until next time, goodbye!
Wolves make it five top-flight games unbeaten since 1981, and Cavaleiro and Jonny both opened their Premier League accounts for the club as they toiled to victory. The hosts weren't at their best, but substitutes Traore and Cavaleiro combined well to open the scoring, the latter making his Premier League debut off the bench and scoring almost immediately after coming on to break a stubborn Southampton resistance. Wing-backs Doherty and Jonny then linked up to double the lead and put the game beyond reach. The Saints pushed hard, but just couldn't test Patricio in any meaningful way. It finishes 2-0 to Wolves at the Molineux!
