We're underway at Selhurst Park.
CRYSTAL PALACE (4-3-3): Wayne Hennessey; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, James Tomkins, Mamadou Sakho, Patrick van Aanholt; Cheikhou Kouyate, Luka Milivojevic, James McArthur; Andros Townsend, Max Meyer, Jordan Ayew.
Tottenham secured a vital win over PSV Eindhoven during the week to keep their Champions League hopes alive thanks to a brace from Harry Kane. Mauricio Pochettino's men now turn their attention to the Premier League where a victory this evening would lift them to within two points of Manchester City at the top of the table, who play in the Manchester derby on Sunday.
Palace are winless in six matches in all competitions, putting pressure on Roy Hodgson to turn their fortunes around. The Eagles are level on points with 18th-place Cardiff City, leaving them out of the relegation zone only on goal difference. Hodgson's men suffered a 3-1 defeat against Chelsea last time out. They have to put in an improved performance againt another London rival to claim a much-needed win.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Tottenham at Selhurst Park.
SUBS: Son Heung-Min, Harry Winks, Eric Dier, Fernando Llorente, Paulo Gazzaniga, Christian Eriksen, Serge Aurier.
TOTTENHAM (4-2-3-1): Hugo Lloris; Kieran Tripper, Juan Foyth, Toby Alderweireld, Ben Davies; Moussa Sissoko, Victor Wanyama; Erik Lamela, Dele Alli, Lucas Moura; Harry Kane.
SUBS: Joel Ward, Alexander Sorloth, Jeffrey Schlupp, Vicente Guaita, Martin Kelly, Jason Puncheon, Jairo Riedewald.
The players are out on the pitch and there will be a minute of silence before the match.
It's goalless at the break between Crystal Palace and Tottenham at Selhurst Park. It has been a half of few chances for either side. Andros Townsend fired a strike into the side-netting for the hosts, while Harry Kane saw an effort from the edge of the box beaten away by Wayne Hennessey. Other than that it has been relatively quiet in terms of goalmouth action, which doesn't suit the two teams this evening.
Kane has not been involved a great deal in the contest, which will frustrate Mauricio Pochettino. Tottenham have an opportunity to put pressure on the teams around them in the top four with a result. Palace also need a victory to distance themselves from the bottom three. Someone has to take a chance in the second period.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time goodbye.
After the international break, Palace play Manchester United on the road, while Tottenham host Chelsea at Wembley in two weeks time.
